1 Crónicas 18
1 Después de esto, David derrotó a los filisteos y los sometió, y tomó Gat y sus ciudades de manos de los filisteos.
After this it happened, that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Derrotó a Moab, y los moabitas se convirtieron en siervos de David y le trajeron tributo.
He struck Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.
3 David derrotó a Hadadézer, rey de Soba, hacia Hamat, cuando iba a establecer su dominio junto al río Éufrates.
David struck Hadadezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Perath.
4 David le arrebató mil carros, siete mil jinetes y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y a todos los caballos de los carros David les quitó la cuerda, pero les reservó lo suficiente para cien carros.
David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
5 Cuando los sirios de Damasco vinieron a ayudar a Hadadézer, rey de Soba, David hirió a veintidós mil hombres de los sirios.
When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Arameans twenty-two thousand men.
6 Luego David puso guarniciones en Siria de Damasco, y los sirios se convirtieron en servidores de David y le trajeron tributo. El Señor le dio la victoria a David dondequiera que fuera.
Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
7 David tomó los escudos de oro que tenían los siervos de Hadadézer y los llevó a Jerusalén.
And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 De Tibhat y de Cun, ciudades de Hadadzer, David tomó mucho bronce, con el cual Salomón hizo el mar de bronce, las columnas y los utensilios de bronce.
From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 Cuando Tou, rey de Hamat, se enteró de que David había derrotado a todo el ejército de Hadadzer, rey de Soba,
When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
10 envió a su hijo Hadoram a saludar al rey David y a bendecirlo, porque había luchado contra Hadadzer y lo había derrotado (pues Hadadzer tenía guerras con Tou); y llevaba consigo toda clase de objetos de oro, plata y bronce.
he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; (for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; ) and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.
11 El rey David también los dedicó a Yahvé, junto con la plata y el oro que se llevó de todas las naciones: de Edom, de Moab, de los hijos de Amón, de los filisteos y de Amalec.
The King also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he took from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the people of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Además, Abisai, hijo de Sarvia, hirió a dieciocho mil edomitas en el Valle de la Sal.
Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah struck of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
13 Puso guarniciones en Edom, y todos los edomitas se convirtieron en servidores de David. El Señor le dio la victoria a David dondequiera que fuera.
He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
14 David reinó sobre todo Israel, y ejecutó justicia y rectitud para todo su pueblo.
David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.
15 Joab, hijo de Sarvia, estaba al frente del ejército; Josafat, hijo de Ahilud, era secretario;
Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
16 Sadoc, hijo de Ajitub, y Abimelec, hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; Shavsha era escriba;
and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shisha was scribe;
17 y Benaía, hijo de Joiada, estaba al frente de los queretanos y de los peletanos; y los hijos de David eran funcionarios principales al servicio del rey.
and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
