1 Crónicas 12
1 Estos son los que vinieron a David a Siclag cuando estaba fugitivo de Saúl, hijo de Cis. Estaban entre los hombres poderosos, sus ayudantes en la guerra.
And these are those that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, confederates for the war,
2 Estaban armados con arcos, y podían usar tanto la mano derecha como la izquierda para lanzar piedras y tirar flechas con el arco. Eran de los parientes de Saúl de la tribu de Benjamín.
Who were armed with bows, and could use both the right and the left hand in [hurling] stones and shooting arrows with the bow, even of the brethren of Saul out of Benjamin.
3 El jefe era Ahiezer, luego Joás, hijos de Semaá el gabatita; Jeziel y Pelet, hijos de Azmavet; Beracá; Jehú el anatotita;
The chiefs were Achi'ezer, then Joash, the sons of Hashema'ab the Gib'athite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of 'Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the 'Anthothite,
4 Ismaías el gabatita, hombre poderoso entre los treinta y jefe de los treinta; Jeremías; Jahaziel; Johanán; Jozabad el gederatita;
And Yishma'yah the Gib'onite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jachaziel, and Jochanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite,
5 Eluzai; Jerimot; Bealías; Semarías; Sefatías el harupita;
El'uzai, and Jerimath, and Be'alyah, and Shemaryahu, and Shephatyahu, the Chariphite,
6 Elcaná, Isías, Azarel, Joezer y Jashobeam, los corasitas;
Elkanah, and Yishiyahu, and 'Azarel, and Jo'ezer, and Jashob'am, the Korchites,
7 y Joelá y Zebadías, hijos de Jeroham de Gedor.
And Jo'elah, and Zebadyah, the sons of Jerocham of Gedor.
8 Algunos gaditas se unieron a David en la fortaleza del desierto, hombres valientes y entrenados para la guerra, que sabían manejar el escudo y la lanza; sus rostros eran como los de los leones, y eran tan veloces como las gacelas de los montes:
And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the strong-hold in the wilderness mighty men of valor, and men of the army for the war, that could handle shield and lance, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as the roebucks upon the mountains in swiftness.
9 Ezer, el principal; Obadías, el segundo; Eliab, el tercero;
'Ezer was the chief, 'Ohadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 Mismaná, el cuarto; Jeremías, el quinto;
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth.
11 Atai, el sexto; Eliel, el séptimo;
'Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Johanán, el octavo; Elzabad, el noveno;
Jochanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Jeremías, el décimo; y Maqubannai, el undécimo.
Jirmiyahu the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
14 Estos de los hijos de Gad eran capitanes del ejército. El menor era igual a cien, y el mayor a mil.
These were of the sons of Gad, the chiefs of the army, one of the least could fight with a hundred, and the greatest with a thousand.
15 Estos son los que pasaron el Jordán en el primer mes, cuando se desbordó por todas sus orillas; y pusieron en fuga a todos los que vivían en los valles, tanto hacia el oriente como hacia el occidente.
These are those that passed over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all the men of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
16 Algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y de Judá vinieron a la fortaleza a David.
And there came some of the children of Benjamin and of Judah as far as the strong-hold unto David.
17 David salió a recibirlos y les respondió: “Si habéis venido pacíficamente a ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá a vosotros; pero si habéis venido a entregarme a mis adversarios, ya que no hay mal en mis manos, que el Dios de nuestros padres lo vea y lo reprenda.”
And David went out to meet them, and commenced and said unto them. If ye be come for peace unto me, to help me, my heart shall be inclined toward you to unite with you; but if it be to betray me to my adversaries while there is no violence in my hands, then may the God of our fathers look on and decide it.
18 Entonces el Espíritu vino sobre Amasai, que era el jefe de los treinta, y dijo: “Somos tuyos, David, y de tu parte, hijo de Isaí. Paz, paz a ti, y paz a tus ayudantes, porque tu Dios te ayuda”. Entonces David los recibió y los nombró capitanes de la banda.
Then a spirit invested 'Amassai, the chief of the captains, [who said, ] Thine are we, David, and with thee, O son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to every one that helpeth thee; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and placed them at the head of the troop.
19 Algunos de Manasés también se unieron a David cuando vino con los filisteos contra Saúl a la batalla, pero no los ayudaron, pues los señores de los filisteos lo despidieron después de consultarlo, diciendo: “Desertará con su amo Saúl con peligro de nuestras cabezas.”
And some of Menasseh went over to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle; but he helped them not; for upon consultation did the lords of the Philistines send him away, saying, With our heads will he go over to his master Saul.
20 Cuando se dirigía a Siclag, se le unieron algunos de Manasés: Adná, Jozabad, Jediael, Miguel, Jozabad, Eliú y Zilletai, capitanes de millares que eran de Manasés.
As he was going over to Ziklag, there went over to him of Menasseh, 'Adnach, and Jozabad, and Jedi'ael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of the thousands that belonged to Menasseh.
21 Ellos ayudaron a David contra la banda de asaltantes, pues todos eran hombres valientes y capitanes del ejército.
And they were those that helped David against the band [of 'Amelekites]; for they were all mighty men of valor, and they became officers in the army.
22 Porque de día en día venían hombres a ayudar a David, hasta que hubo un gran ejército, como el ejército de Dios.
For all the time, day by day, people used to come to David to help him, until the camp became great, like the camp of God.
23 Estos son los números de los jefes de los que estaban armados para la guerra, que vinieron a David a Hebrón para entregarle el reino de Saúl, según la palabra de Yahvé.
And these are the numbers of the heads of those ready armed for the host that came to David to Hebron, to turn over the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the order of the Lord.
24 Los hijos de Judá que llevaban escudo y lanza eran seis mil ochocientos, armados para la guerra.
The children of Judah that bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed for the host.
25 De los hijos de Simeón, hombres valientes para la guerra: siete mil cien.
Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the host, seven thousand and one hundred.
26 De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil seiscientos.
Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27 Joiada era el jefe de la casa de Aarón, y con él había tres mil setecientos,
And Jehoyada' was the leader of the family of Aaron, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred.
28 y Sadoc, joven valiente, y de la casa de su padre veintidós capitanes.
Also Zadok, a young man, mighty of valor, and his family division twenty and two chiefs.
29 De los hijos de Benjamín, parientes de Saúl, tres mil, pues hasta entonces la mayor parte de ellos había mantenido su fidelidad a la casa de Saúl.
And of the children of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand; for till that time the greatest part of them had kept the charge of the house of Saul.
30 De los hijos de Efraín: veinte mil ochocientos, hombres valientes y famosos en las casas de sus padres.
And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, men of fame in their family divisions.
31 De la media tribu de Manasés: dieciocho mil, que fueron mencionados por su nombre, para venir a hacer rey a David.
And of the half tribe of Menasseh eighteen thousand, who had been expressed by name, to come to make David king.
32 De los hijos de Isacar, hombres entendidos en los tiempos, para saber lo que debía hacer Israel, sus jefes eran doscientos; y todos sus hermanos estaban a sus órdenes.
And of the children of Issachar, those who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, —their heads were two hundred; and all their brethren were ready at their order.
33 De Zabulón, los que podían salir en el ejército, que podían preparar la batalla con toda clase de instrumentos de guerra: cincuenta mil que podían mandar y no tenían doblez de corazón.
Of Zebulun, such as went forth to the host, arrayed for battle, with all manner of weapons of war, fifty thousand; and these were ready to place themselves in battle array with an undivided heart.
34 De Neftalí: mil capitanes, y con ellos, con escudo y lanza, treinta y siete mil.
And of Naphtali one thousand captains, and with them were with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
35 De los danitas que sabían preparar la batalla: veintiocho mil seiscientos.
And of the Danites arrayed for battle twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
36 De Aser, los que podían salir en el ejército, los que podían preparar la batalla: cuarenta mil.
And of Asher, such as went forth to the host to put themselves in battle array, forty thousand.
37 Del otro lado del Jordán, de los rubenitas, gaditas y de la media tribu de Manasés, con toda clase de instrumentos de guerra para la batalla: ciento veinte mil.
And from the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, with all manner of weapons of the host for war, one hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Todos estos eran hombres de guerra que sabían ordenar la formación de la batalla, y vinieron con un corazón perfecto a Hebrón para hacer a David rey de todo Israel; y también todos los demás de Israel tenían un mismo corazón para hacer a David rey.
All these men of war, that placed themselves in battle array, came with an entire heart to Hebron, to make David King over all Israel; and also all the rest of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39 Estuvieron allí con David tres días, comiendo y bebiendo, pues sus hermanos les habían proporcionado provisiones.
And they were there with David three days eating and drinking; for their brethren had prepared for them.
40 Además, los que estaban cerca de ellos, hasta Isacar, Zabulón y Neftalí, trajeron pan en burros, en camellos, en mulos y en bueyes: provisiones de harina, tortas de higos, racimos de pasas, vino, aceite, ganado y ovejas en abundancia; porque había alegría en Israel.
And also those that were nigh unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought in bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, food made of meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
