Zacarías 8

1 Entonces el Señor Todopoderoso me envió otro mensaje.

Againe the worde of the Lord of hostes came to me, saying,

2 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Soy celoso y protector del pueblo de Sión. Soy apasionado por ellos en gran manera.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I was ielous for Zion with great ielousie, and I was ielous for her with great wrath.

3 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Yo le regresado a Sión, y viviré en Jerusalén. Entonces a Jerusalén se le llamará la “Ciudad Fiel”, y a la montaña del Señor Todopoderoso se le llamará el “Santo Monte”.

Thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Zion, and wil dwel in the mids of Ierusalem: and Ierusalem shalbe called a citie of trueth, and the Mountaine of the Lord of hostes, the holy Mountaine.

4 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Los ancianos podrán sentarse nuevamente en las calles de Jerusalén, cada uno con sus bastones que usan por su edad.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, There shall yet olde men and olde women dwell in the streetes of Ierusalem, and euery man with his staffe in his hand for very age.

5 Las calles estarán llenas de niños y niñas jugando felices.

And the streetes of the citie shalbe full of boyes and girles, playing in the streetes thereof.

6 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Ahora parece demasiado bueno para ser cierto para ustedes, mi pueblo remanente de estos días. ¿Pero acaso es imposible para mi? pregunta e Señor Todopoderoso.

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Though it be vnpossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these dayes, should it therefore be vnpossible in my sight, sayth the Lord of hostes?

7 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Yo salvaré a mi pueblo de las naciones del este y del oeste.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will deliuer my people from the East countrey, and from the West countrey.

8 Los traeré de regreso y vivirán en Jerusalén, y serán mi pueblo y yo seré y Dios fiel y verdadero.

And I wil bring them, and they shall dwel in the mids of Ierusalem, and they shalbe my people, and I wil be their God in trueth, and in righteousnes.

9 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Sean fuertes para que el Templo sea terminado. Todos los que hoy están aquí, están oyendo las mismas palabras de los profetas que estuvieron presentes en el día que se fundó y se estableció el Templo del Señor Todopoderoso.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Let your hands be strong, ye that heare in these dayes these words by the mouth of the Prophets, which were in the day, that the foundation of the House of the Lord of hostes was laide, that the Temple might be builded.

10 Antes de ese tiempo no había suficiente comida para la gente o los animales. Nadie podía vivir con normalidad porque no estaban seguros de sus enemigos, y yo puse a todos los unos contra otros.

For before these dayes there was no hire for man nor any hire for beast, neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men, euery one against his neighbour.

11 Pero ahora no trataré más a mi remanente como los traté antes, declara el Señor Todopoderoso.

But nowe, I wil not intreate the residue of this people as aforetime, saith the Lord of hostes.

12 Ellos segarán en paz. La vid producirá sus uvas; el suelo dará cosecha y los cielos enviarán el agua sobre ellos. Me aseguraré de que esto suceda con el remanente de este pueblo.

For the seede shall be prosperous: the vine shall giue her fruite, and the ground shall giue her increase, and the heauens shall giue their dewe, and I will cause the remnant of this people to possesse all these things.

13 Al pueblo de Judá e Israel: Así como fueron considerados como una maldición entre las naciones, yo los salvaré y se convertirán en una bendición. ¡No tengan miedo! ¡Sean fuertes!

And it shall come to passe, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Iudah, and house of Israel, so wil I deliuer you, and ye shalbe a blessing: feare not, but let your hands be strong.

14 Porque esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Yo decidí traer desastre sobre ustedes cuando sus antiguos padres provocaron mi ira y no cambié mi parecer.

For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, As I thought to punish you, when your fathers prouoked me vnto wrath, sayth the Lord of hostes, and repented not,

15 Pero ahora lo he decidido, y hare bien a Jerusalén y al pueblo de Judá. ¡No tengan miedo!

So againe haue I determined in these daies to doe well vnto Ierusalem, and to the house of Iudah: feare ye not.

16 Esto es lo que deben hacer: Díganse la verdad los unos a los otros. En sus cortes juzguen honestamente y con la verdad, para lograr la paz.

These are ye things that ye shall doe. Speake ye euery man the trueth vnto his neighbour: execute iudgement truely and vprightly in your gates,

17 No hagan planes sobre cómo hacer el mal contra otros. Dejen de amar el engaño. Yo lo aborrezco, declara el Señor.

And let none of you imagine euill in your hearts against his neighbour, and loue no false othe: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lord.

18 El Señor Todopoderoso me dio otro mensaje.

And the worde of the Lord of hostes came vnto me, saying,

19 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Los ayunos que hacen el cuarto, quinto, séptimo y décimo mes serán tiempos de alegría y regocijo para el pueblo de Judá. Y habrá fiestas de celebración. Pero amen la verdad y la paz.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, The fast of the fourth moneth, and the fast of the fift, and the fast of the seuenth, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Iudah ioy and gladnes, and prosperous hie feasts: therefore loue the trueth and peace.

20 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: Las gentes vendrán a Jerusalén de muchas naciones y cuidades,

Thus saith the Lord of hostes, That there shall yet come people, and the inhabitants of great cities.

21 e irán de una ciudad a otra diciendo: “Permítannos buscar al Señor y pedir la bendición del Señor Todopoderoso. ¡Yo mismo iré!”

And they that dwell in one citie, shall go to another, saying, Vp, let vs go and pray before the Lord, and seeke the Lord of hostes: I wil go also.

22 Y mucha gente y naciones poderosas vendrán a Jerusalén para pedir la bendición del Señor Todopoderoso y buscar al Señor.

Yea, great people and mightie nations shall come to seeke the Lord of hostes in Ierusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

23 Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso: En ese tiempo diez hombres de diferentes naciones e idiomas sujetarán el dobladillo de la capa de un hombre judío y rogarán: “Por favor, llévanos contigo, porque hemos escuchado que Dios está contigo”.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, In those dayes shall ten men take holde out of all languages of the nations, euen take holde of the skirt of him that is a Iewe, and say, We will go with you: for we haue heard that God is with you.
