Romanos 15

1 Los que de nosotros son espiritualmente fuertes deben apoyar a los que son espiritualmente débiles. No debemos simplemente complacernos a nosotros mismos.

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 Todos debemos animar a otros a hacer lo recto, edificándolos.

Let every one of us please [his] neighbor for [his] good to edification.

3 Así como Cristo no vivió para complacerse a sí mismo, sino que, como la Escritura dice de él: “Las ofensas de los que te insultaban han caído sobre mí”.

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

4 Estas Escrituras fueron escritas en el pasado para ayudarnos a entender, y para animarnos a fin de que pudiéramos esperar pacientemente en esperanza.

For whatever things were written formerly, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

5 ¡Que Dios, quien nos da paciencia y ánimo, los ayude a estar en armonía unos con otros como seguidores de Jesucristo,

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one towards another according to Christ Jesus:

6 a fin de que puedan, con una sola mente y una sola voz, glorificar juntos a Dios, el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo!

That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Así que acéptense unos a otros, así como Cristo los aceptó a ustedes, y denle la gloria a Dios.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

8 Siempre digo que Cristo vino como siervo a los judíos para mostrar que Dios dice la verdad, manteniendo las promesas hechas a sus antepasados.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] to the fathers:

9 También vino para que los extranjeros pudieran alabar a Dios por su misericordia, como dice la Escritura, “Por lo tanto te alabaré entre los extranjeros; cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre”.

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing to thy name.

10 Y también dice: “¡Extranjeros, celebren con este pueblo!”

And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

11 Y una vez más, dice: “Todos ustedes, extranjeros, alaben al Señor, que todos los pueblos le alaben”.

And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

12 Y otra vez, Isaías dice: “El descendiente de Isaí vendrá a gobernar las naciones, y los extranjeros pondrán su esperanza en él”.

And again Isaiah saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

13 ¡Que el Dios de esperanza los llene por completo de todo gozo y paz, como sus creyentes, a fin de que puedan rebosar de esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

14 Estoy convencido de que ustedes, mis hermanos y hermanas, están llenos de bondad, y que están llenos de todo tipo de conocimiento, de modo que están bien capacitados para enseñarse unos a otros.

And I myself also am persuaded concerning you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

15 He sido muy directo en la forma como les he escrito sobre algunas de estas cosas, pero es solo para recordarles. Porque Dios me dio la gracia

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly to you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me from God.

16 de ser un ministro de Jesucristo para los extranjeros, como un sacerdote que predica la buena noticia de Dios, a fin de que puedan convertirse en una ofrenda agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

17 Así que, aunque tenga algo de qué jactarme por mi servicio a Dios,

I have therefore cause for glorying through Jesus Christ, in those things which pertain to God.

18 (no me atrevería a hablar de ninguna de estas cosas, excepto cuando Cristo mismo lo ha hecho a través de mi), he conducido a los extranjeros a la obediencia a través de mi enseñanza y ejemplo,

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

19 a través del poder de señales y milagros realizados por el poder del Espíritu Santo. Desde Jerusalén hasta Ilírico, por todos lados he compartido enteramente la buena noticia de Cristo.

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and around to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

20 De hecho, con mucho agrado compartí el evangelio en lugares donde no habían escuchado el nombre de Cristo, para no construir sobre lo que otros habían hecho.

And so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

21 Como dice la Escritura: “Los que no han oído de la buena noticia la descubrirán, y los que no han oído entenderán”.

But as it is written, They shall see to whom he was not spoken of: and they that have not heard shall understand.

22 Por ello muchas veces me fue imposible venir a verlos.

For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

23 Pero ahora, como no hay más lugar aquí donde trabajar, y como he deseado visitarlos desde hace años,

But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you;

24 espero verlos cuando vaya de camino a España. Quizás puedan brindarme ayuda para el viaje, después de pasar juntos por algún tiempo.

Whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I shall be somewhat filled with your [company].

25 Ahora voy de camino a Jerusalén para ayudar a los creyentes que están allá,

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

26 porque los creyentes en Macedonia y Acaya pensaron que sería bueno enviar una ayuda a los pobres que están entre los creyentes de Jerusalén.

For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who are at Jerusalem.

27 Estuvieron felices de ayudarlos porque tienen esta deuda con ellos. Ahora que los extranjeros son partícipes de sus beneficios espirituales, están en deuda con los creyentes judíos para ayudarlos con cosas materiales.

It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in carnal things.

28 De modo que cuando haya terminado con esto, y les haya entregado de manera segura esta contribución, los visitaré a ustedes de camino a España.

When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go by you into Spain.

29 Sé que cuando venga, Cristo nos dará su plena bendición.

And I am sure that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30 Deseo animarlos, mis hermanos y hermanas, mediante nuestro Señor Jesucristo y mediante el amor del Espíritu, a que se unan y oren mucho por mí.

Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in [your] prayers to God for me;

31 Oren para que pueda estar a salvo de los no creyentes de Judea. Oren para que mi labor en Jerusalén sea bien recibida por los creyentes de allí.

That I may be delivered from them in Judea who do not believe; and that my service which [I have] for Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints;

32 Oren para que pueda regresar a ustedes con alegría, conforme a la voluntad de Dios, para que podamos disfrutar juntos, en compañía.

That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

33 Que el Dios de paz esté con todos ustedes. Amén.

Now the God of peace [be] with you all. Amen.
