Apocalipsis 21
1 Entonces vi un nuevo cielo y una nueva tierra. El primer cielo y la primera tierra habían desaparecido, y el mar ya no existía más.
And I saw a new Heaven and a new earth; for the first Heaven and the first earth were gone, and the sea no longer exists.
2 Y vi la santa ciudad, Nueva Jerusalén, descendiendo desde el cielo de Dios, preparada como una novia, embellecida para su esposo.
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God and made ready like a bride attired to meet her husband.
3 Escuché una voz fuerte que salía del trono y decía: “Ahora la casa de Dios está con los seres humanos y él vivirá con ellos. Ellos serán su pueblo. Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios.
And I heard a loud voice, which came from the throne, say, "God's dwelling place is among men and He will dwell among them and they shall be His peoples. Yes, God Himself will be among them.
4 El enjugará toda lágrima de sus ojos, y la muerte no volverá a ocurrir. Y nunca más habrá lamento, llanto, o dolor, porque el mundo anterior ya nunca más existirá”.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death shall be no more; nor sorrow, nor wail of woe, nor pain; for the first things have passed away."
5 El que está sentado en el trono dijo: “¡Todas las cosas las estoy haciendo nuevas!” Y me dijo: “Escribe esto, porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas”.
Then He who was seated on the throne said, "I am re-creating all things." And He added, "Write down these words, for they are trustworthy and true."
6 Entonces me dijo: “¡Todo está hecho! Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. A todo el que tenga sed le daré gratuitamente agua de la fuente de agua de vida.
He also said, "They have now been fulfilled. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To those who are thirsty I will give the privilege of drinking from the well of the Water of Life without payment.
7 Los que sean victoriosos heredarán todas estas cosas, y yo seré su Dios, y ellos serán mis hijos.
All this shall be the heritage of him who overcomes, and I will be his God and he shall be one of My sons.
8 Pero los cobardes, los que no confían en mí, los que hacen cosas aborrecibles, los asesinos, los que comenten inmoralidad sexual, los que practican hechicería, los que adoran ídolos, los mentirosos, tienen su lugar escogido en el lago que arde con fuego y azufre. Esta es la segunda muerte”. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
9 Uno de los siete ángeles que tenía las siete copas con las siete plagas, vino y me habló. Me dijo: “Ven conmigo. Te mostraré a la novia, a la esposa del Cordero”.
Then there came one of the seven angels who were carrying the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues. "Come with me," he said, "and I will show you the Bride, the Lamb's wife."
10 Y me llevó en el Espíritu a la cima de una montaña muy alta. Ahí me mostró la ciudad santa, Jerusalén, descendiendo del cielo de Dios,
So in the Spirit he carried me to the top of a vast, lofty mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God,
11 brillando con la gloria de la presencia de Dios. La luz resplandecía como una piedra preciosa, un jaspe, transparente y brillante.
and bringing with it the glory of God. It shone with a radiance like that of a very precious stone--such as a jasper, bright and transparent.
12 Y el muro de la ciudad era alto y grueso, con doce puertas, protegidas por doce ángeles. Sobre las puertas estaban escritos los nombres de las doce tribus de Israel.
It has a wall, massive and high, with twelve large gates, and in charge of the gates were twelve angels. And overhead, above the gates, names were inscribed which are those of the twelve tribes of the descendants of Israel.
13 Y había tres puertas en el Este, tres puertas en el Norte, tres puertas en el Sur, y tres puertas en el Oeste.
There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.
14 El muro de la ciudad tenía doce fundamentos, y sobre ellos estaban inscritos los nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.
The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and engraved upon them were twelve names--the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
15 El ángel que me habló tenía una vara de medir para medir la ciudad, sus puertas, y su muro.
Now he who was speaking to me had a measuring-rod of gold, with which to measure the city and its gates and its wall.
16 La ciudad era cuadrada. La longitud era la misma que la anchura. Midió la ciudad con una vara, y era de 12:000 estadios. La longitud, la anchura y la altura, eran iguales.
The plan of the city is a square, the length being the same as the breadth; and he measured the city furlong by furlong, with his measuring rod--it is twelve hundred miles long, and the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 Entonces midió el muro y era de codos de grosor en medida humana, que era la medida que usaba el ángel.
And he measured the wall of it--a wall of a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to human measure, which was also that of the angel.
18 El muro estaba hecho de jaspe. Y la ciudad estaba hecha de oro puro, que parecía de vidrio.
The solid fabric of the wall was jasper; and the city itself was made of gold, resembling transparent glass.
19 Los fundamentos del muro de la ciudad estaban decorados con todo tipo de piedras preciosas. El primero era de jaspe, el segundo de zafiro, el tercero de calcedonia, el cuarto de esmeralda,
As for the foundation-stones of the city wall, which were beautified with various kinds of precious stones, the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius,
20 el quinto de sardónice, el sexto de cornalina, el séptimo de crisólito, el octavo de berilo, el noveno de topacio, el décimo de crisópraso, el undécimo de jacinto, y el duodécimo de amatista.
the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21 Las doce puertas estaban hechas de perlas, cada una hecha de una sola perla. La calle principal estaba hecha de oro puro, transparente como el vidrio.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each of them consisting of a single pearl. And the main street of the city was made of pure gold, resembling transparent glass.
22 Y no vi Templo allí, porque el Señor Dios Todo poderoso, y el Cordero, son su Templo.
I saw no sanctuary in the city, for the Lord God, the Ruler of all, is its Sanctuary, and so is the Lamb.
23 La ciudad no necesita del sol o de la luna que brillen allí porque la gloria de Dios da la luz, pues el Cordero es su lámpara.
Nor has the city any need of the sun or of the moon, to give it light; for the glory of God has shone upon it and its lamp is the Lamb.
24 Las naciones caminarán por su luz y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria a la ciudad.
The nations will live their lives by its light; and the kings of the earth are to bring their glory into it.
25 Las puertas de la ciudad no serán cerradas durante el día (allí no habrá noche).
And in the daytime (for there will be no night there) the gates will never be closed;
26 Y la honra y la gloria de las naciones serán traídas a la ciudad.
and the glory and honor of the nations shall be brought into it.
27 Nada impuro entrará allí, ni ninguno que adore ídolos o diga mentiras, sino solo aquellos que están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero.
And no unclean thing shall ever enter it, nor any one who is guilty of base conduct or tells lies, but only they whose names stand recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
