Salmos 97
1 ¡El Señor reina! ¡Qué la tierra se alegre, y que las costas distantes se llenen de alegría!
Yahweh, hath become king, Let the earth exult, Let the multitude of coastlands rejoice.
2 Él está rodeado de nubes y densas tinieblas; su trono está fundado en la justicia y la verdad.
Clouds and thick darkness, are round about him, Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of his throne.
3 Las llamas le proceden, quemando a sus enemigos de cada lado.
Fire, before him, proceedeth, That it may consume, round about, his adversaries.
4 Sus rayos de luz iluminan el mundo; la tierra observa y tiembla.
His lightnings, have illumined, the world, The earth, hath seen, and hath trembled;
5 Las montañas se derriten como cera en la presencia del Señor, ante el Señor de toda la tierra.
The mountains, like wax, have melted, At the presence of Yahweh, At the presence, of the Lord of all the earth.
6 Los cielos proclaman su bondad; todos ven su gloria.
The heavens, have declared, his righteousness, —And all the peoples, have seen, his glory.
7 Todos aquellos que adoran ídolos son humillados, todos los que están orgullosos de sus ídolos, porque todos los “dioses” se postran ante él.
Let all who serve an image, be ashamed, They who boast themselves in things of nought, Bow down unto him, all ye gods.
8 Jerusalén oye esto y celebra; todos los pueblos de Judá están felices por tus juicios, Señor.
Zion, hath heard and rejoiced, And the daughters of Judah, have exulted, Because of thy righteous decisions, O Yahweh:
9 Porque tú, eres el más grande de todos, que gobierna sobre toda la tierra; tu posición está muy por encima de cualquier otro dios.
For, thou, Yahweh, art Most High over all the earth, Greatly hast thou exalted thyself above all gods.
10 Tú, que amas al Señor, ¡Odia el mal! Porque él protege las vidas de todos los que le son leales, y los salva del poder de la gente mala.
Ye lovers of Yahweh! be haters of wrong, —He preserveth the lives of his men of lovingkindness, From the hand of the lawless, will he rescue them.
11 La luz brilla sobre aquellos que hicieron el bien, llevando alegría a aquellos que vivieron con rectitud.
Light, is sown for the righteous one, And, for the upright in heart, rejoicing:
12 ¡Alégrate en el Señor, tú, que haces el bien, y agradécele por su naturaleza santa!
Rejoice, ye righteous, in Yahweh, And give ye thanks, at the mention of his holiness.
