Salmos 45
1 Para el director del coro. Al son de “los lirios”. Un salmo (masquil) de los hijos de Coré. Un canto de amor. Fui movido a escribir sobre esto. Déjame compartir lo que he escrito para el rey. Lo que diré viene de la pluma de un hábil escritor.
To the Chief Musician. On Shoshannim. For the Sons of Korah. A Psalm of Instruction. A Song of Love. Overflowed hath my heart, with an excellent theme, I will recite my poem concerning the king, Be, my tongue, [like] the pen of a scribe who is skilled.
2 Eres más guapo que cualquier otro. Siempre hablas con tanta gracia, porque Dios te ha bendecido.
Most beautiful thou art, beyond the sons of men, Graciousness hath been poured forth by thy lips, For this cause, hath God blessed thee, to times age-abiding.
3 ¡Agita tu espada, gran guerrero! ¡Cabalga poderoso en gloria y majestad!
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, [’Tis] thine honour and thy majesty;
4 en tu camino majestuoso a la victoria, en defensa de la verdad, la humildad, y lo correcto, porque eres fuerte y puedes actuar de forma poderosa.
And, [in] thy majesty, be successful! ride forth! on behalf of faithfulness, and humility—righteousness, And let thine own right hand show thee wonderful things.
5 Tus flechas perforan los corazones de tus enemigos; las naciones caen a tus pies.
Thine arrows, are sharp—Peoples, under thee, fall! In the heart of the foes of the king.
6 Tu trono viene de Dios, y permanecerá para siempre. El cetro con el que gobiernas es un cero de justicia.
Thy throne, O God, is to times age-abiding and beyond, A sceptre of equity, is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
7 Tú amas lo que está bien y aborreces o malo. Por eso es que Dios, tu Dios, te ha puesto por encima de todos al ungirte con el aceite de la victoria.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness, —For this cause, hath God, thine own God, anointed thee, With the oil of gladness, beyond thy partners.
8 Tus mantos son perfumados con aloe, mirra y casia; te hace feliz la música que es tocada en instrumentos de cuerda en hermosos palacios decorados con marfil.
Myrrh and aloes, cassias, all thy garments, —Out of the palaces of ivory, the tones of strings, have rejoiced thee.
9 Entre las mujeres nobles están las hijas del rey; la reina permanece detrás de ti en tu lado derecho, llevando joyería echa con oro refinado de Ofir.
Daughters of kings, are among thine honourable women, Stationed is the bride at thy right hand, in gold of Ophir.
10 Escucha lo que tengo que decirte, hija; presta atención, por favor. Olvídate de tu pueblo y tu familia.
Hearken, O daughter, and observe, Incline also thine ear, Forget, then, thine own people, And the house of thy father;
11 Que el rey te desea por tu hermosura; respétalo, porque él es tu Señor.
When the king shall desire thy beauty, Surely, he, is thy lord, then bow down to him.
12 El pueblo de Tiro vendrá con regalos; la gente rica buscará tu favor.
Also, the daughter of Tyre, [cometh in] with a present! Thy face, shall the rich of the people appease.
13 Dentro de su preparación, la princesa luce hermosa con su vestido de oro.
All glorious—the daughter of a king [sitteth] within, Brocades, wrought with gold, [are] her clothing!
14 Vistiendo sus hermosas ropas ella es traída al rey, seguida por sus damas de honor.
In embroidered raiment, shall she be brought unto the king—The virgins that follow her, her companions, are to be conducted unto thee:
15 ¡Qué procesión tan feliz y alegre entra al palacio del rey!
They shall be brought, with rejoicings and exultation, —They shall enter into the palace of the king!
16 Tus hijos tomarán el lugar de tu padre; como princesa los harás gobernadores sobre la tierra.
Instead of thy fathers, be thy sons, Thou shalt make them rulers in all the earth.
17 Por mis palabras serás famosa a través de las generaciones, y las naciones te adorarán para siempre.
I will keep in remembrance thy Name, through each succeeding generation, For this cause, peoples, shall praise thee, to times age-abiding and beyond.
