Salmos 38

1 Un Salmo de David, pidiendo a Dios que se acuerde de él. ¡Señor, por favor no me condenes, por causa de tu enojo conmigo! ¡No me castigues con tu furia!

A Psalme of Dauid for remembrance. O Lord, rebuke mee not in thine anger, neither chastise me in thy wrath.

2 Tus flechas me han atravesado, tus manos han caído sobre mí.

For thine arrowes haue light vpon me, and thine hand lyeth vpon me.

3 Por tu enojo hacia mí, ni una sola parte de mi cuerpo está sana. Estoy completamente enfermo por mis pecados.

There is nothing sound in my flesh, because of thine anger: neither is there rest in my bones because of my sinne.

4 Me estoy ahogando en culpa. La carga es muy pesada de llevar.

For mine iniquities are gone ouer mine head, and as a weightie burden they are too heauie for me.

5 Mis heridas están infectadas, están comenzando a oler mal, y por culpa de mi terquedad.

My woundes are putrified, and corrupt because of my foolishnes.

6 Estoy encorvado, retorcido por el dolor. Camino el día entero llorando y lamentándome.

I am bowed, and crooked very sore: I goe mourning all the day.

7 Estoy ardiendo por dentro de fiebre. Ninguna parte de mi cuerpo está sana.

For my reines are full of burning, and there is nothing sound in my flesh.

8 Estoy muy cansado, totalmente deshecho. Siento mi corazón como ruge de angustia.

I am weakened and sore broken: I roare for the very griefe of mine heart.

9 Señor, sabes lo que quiero desesperadamente, escuchas cada respiración que tomo.

Lord, I powre my whole desire before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.

10 Mi corazón se está acelerando, dejándome sin fuerza. Mi vista está decayendo.

Mine heart panteth: my strength faileth me, and the light of mine eyes, euen they are not mine owne.

11 Mis amados y amigos no se me acercan porque tienen miedo de contagiarse. Incluso mi familia se ha distanciado.

My louers and my friends stand aside from my plague, and my kinsmen stand a farre off.

12 Aquellos que intentan matarme me ponen trampas. Los que intentan herirme me amenazan, trabajando en sus planes engañosos todo el día.

They also, that seeke after my life, laye snares, and they that go about to do me euil, talke wicked things and imagine deceite continually.

13 Yo actúo como si fuera sordo con sus palabras, e intento parecer tonto para no tener que hablar.

But I as a deafe man heard not, and am as a dumme man, which openeth not his mouth.

14 Como un hombre que no puede oír, y que no responde, ¡Ese soy yo!

Thus am I as a man, that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofes.

15 ¡Porque espero en ti, Señor! Tú me responderás, Dios mío.

For on thee, O Lord, do I waite: thou wilt heare me, my Lord, my God.

16 Señor, te pido que por favor mis enemigos no se jacten en frente mí, no dejes que se alegren cuando yo tropiece.

For I said, Heare me, least they reioyce ouer me: for when my foote slippeth, they extol themselues against me.

17 Porque estoy por colapsar, el dolor nunca se detiene.

Surely I am ready to halte, and my sorow is euer before me.

18 Confieso mis pecados. Lamento horriblemente todo lo que he hecho.

When I declare my paine, and am sory for my sinne,

19 Tengo enemigos muy poderosos, son bastante activos, y me odian sin razón.

Then mine enemies are aliue and are mightie, and they that hate me wrongfully are many.

20 Me pagan el bien con mal. Me acusan por el bien que he tratado de hacer.

They also, that rewarde euill for good, are mine aduersaries, because I follow goodnesse.

21 Señor, no me abandones, no te alejes de mí.

Forsake me not, O Lord: be not thou farre from me, my God.

22 Apresúrate, ven y ayúdame, ¡Oh, Señor, mi salvador!

Haste thee to helpe mee, O my Lord, my saluation.
