Salmos 37
1 Un salmo de David. No te angusties por la gente mala, ni sientas celos de aquellos que hacen el mal.
A Psalme of David. Fret not thy selfe because of the wicked men, neither be enuious for the euill doers.
2 Porque como el césped, se secarán rápidamente; como plantas, pronto se marchitarán.
For they shall soone bee cut downe like grasse, and shall wither as the greene herbe.
3 Confía en el Señor, y haz el bien. Vive en la tierra y alimenta tu fidelidad.
Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly.
4 Encuentra tu felicidad en el Señor, y él te dará lo que más deseas.
And delite thy selfe in the Lord, and hee shall giue thee thine hearts desire.
5 Encomienda todo lo que haces al Señor. Deposita tu confianza en él y él te ayudará.
Commit thy way vnto the Lord, and trust in him, and he shall bring it to passe.
6 Hará que tu defensa brille como una luz, y la justicia de tu causa como el sol del mediodía.
And he shall bring foorth thy righteousnes as the light, and thy iudgement as the noone day.
7 Mantente en la presencia de Dios y espera pacientemente en él. No te angusties por la gente que prospera mientras hacen lo malo.
Waite patiently vpon the Lord and hope in him: fret not thy selfe for him which prospereth in his way: nor for the man that bringeth his enterprises to passe.
8 ¡Deja tu ira! ¡Deja ir tu enojo! ¡No te molestes, eso solo resultará en mal para ellos!
Cease from anger, and leaue off wrath: fret not thy selfe also to doe euill.
9 Porque los malvados serán destruidos, y los que confían en el Señor tomarán posesión de la tierra prometida.
For euill doers shalbe cut off, and they that wait vpon the Lord, they shall inherite the land.
10 Dentro de poco los malos no existirán más, y aunque los busques no los encontrarás.
Therefore yet a litle while, and the wicked shall not appeare, and thou shalt looke after his place, and he shall not be found.
11 Los humildes heredarán la tierra; vivirán allí felizmente, en paz y prosperidad.
But meeke men shall possesse the earth, and shall haue their delite in the multitude of peace.
12 Los malos conspiran contra los que hacen el mal, rechinando sus dientes sobre ellos.
The wicked practiseth against the iust, and gnasheth his teeth against him.
13 Pero el Señor se ríe de ellos, porque ve cercano su día de juicio.
But the Lord shall laugh him to scorne: for he seeth, that his day is comming.
14 Los malos sacan sus espadas y tensan sus arcos para destruir a los pobres y necesitados, para matar a los que viven con rectitud.
The wicked haue drawen their sworde, and haue bent their bowe, to cast downe the poore and needie, and to slay such as be of vpright conuersation.
15 Pero las espadas de los malvados atravesarán sus propios corazones, y sus arcos se romperán.
But their sword shall enter into their owne heart, and their bowes shalbe broken.
16 Es mejor hacer lo correcto y tener solo un poco, que hacer el mal y ser rico.
A small thing vnto the iust man is better, then great riches to the wicked and mightie.
17 Porque el poder de los malos se romperá, pero el Señor ayuda a los que viven en rectitud.
For the armes of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord vpholdeth the iust men.
18 El Señor ve lo que le sucede a los inocentes y les garantiza una herencia eterna.
The Lord knoweth the dayes of vpright men, and their inheritance shall bee perpetuall.
19 No serán humillados en los malos tiempos; incluso en días de hambruna tendrán mucho que comer.
They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, and in the daies of famine they shall haue ynough.
20 Pero los malos morirán. Los enemigos del Señor son como las flores en el que campo que se desvanecen como el humo.
But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be consumed as the fatte of lambes: euen with the smoke shall they consume away.
21 Los malvados prestan, pero no pagan; mientras que aquellos que son rectos dan generosamente.
The wicked boroweth and payeth not againe. but the righteous is mercifull, and giueth.
22 Aquellos que son bendecidos por el Señor heredarán la tierra prometida, pero a los que maldice morirán.
For such as be blessed of God, shall inherite the lande, and they that be cursed of him, shalbe cut off.
23 El Señor les muestra el camino correcto a sus seguidores, y se alegra con su modo de vivir.
The pathes of man are directed by the Lord: for he loueth his way.
24 Aunque tropiecen, no caerán al suelo, porque el Señor sostiene su mano.
Though he fall, hee shall not be cast off: for the Lord putteth vnder his hand.
25 Fui joven, y ahora he envejecido, sin embargo nunca he visto a los rectos abandonados o a sus hijos rogando por pan.
I haue beene yong, and am olde: yet I sawe neuer the righteous forsaken, nor his seede begging bread.
26 Ellos siempre son amables, y generosos con sus préstamos; sus hijos son una bendición.
But hee is euer mercifull and lendeth, and his seede enioyeth the blessing.
27 Rechaza el mal, haz el bien, y vivirás para siempre en la tierra prometida.
Flee from euill and doe good, and dwell for euer.
28 Porque el Señor ama la justicia y nunca abandonará a los que son fieles a él. Él los protegerá por siempre. Pero los hijos de los malvados morirán.
For the Lord loueth iudgement, and forsaketh not his Saintes: they shall be preserued for euermore: but the seede of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 Aquellos que viven en rectitud heredarán la tierra y vivirán allí por siempre.
The righteous men shall inherit the lande, and dwell therein for euer.
30 Las personas que hacen lo correcto dan buenos consejos, explicando lo que es justo.
The mouth of the righteous will speake of wisedome, and his tongue will talke of iudgement.
31 La ley de Dios vive en sus corazones, de tal forma que nunca se apartarán de este camino.
For the Lawe of his God is in his heart, and his steppes shall not slide.
32 Los impíos acechan a los que hacen el bien, intentando matarlos.
The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 Pero el Señor no los dejará caer en sus manos, y no dejará que los justos sean condenados cuando vayan a juicio.
But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.
34 Confía en el Señor, y permanece en su camino. Él te levantará y te dará la tierra que te ha prometido. Verás con tus propios ojos cuando los malos sean destruidos.
Waite thou on the Lord, and keepe his way, and he shall exalt thee, that thou shalt inherite the lande: when the wicked men shall perish, thou shalt see.
35 He visto a los malos actuar de forma salvaje, extendiéndose como un gran árbol en su tierra.
I haue seene the wicked strong, and spreading himselfe like a greene bay tree.
36 Pero cuando pasé por ese camino la siguiente vez, se habían ido. Los busqué, pero no pude encontrarlos.
Yet he passed away, and loe, he was gone, and I sought him, but he could not be founde.
37 ¡Observa al inocente, mira a los que hacen el bien! ¡Aquellos que aman la paz tienen futuro!
Marke the vpright man, and beholde the iust: for the end of that man is peace.
38 Pero los rebeldes serán destruidos todos juntos. Los malvados no tienen futuro.
But the transgressours shall be destroyed together, and the ende of the wicked shall bee cut off.
39 El Señor salva a los que viven con rectitud; él es su protección en tiempos de aflicción.
But the saluation of the righteous men shalbe of the Lord: he shalbe their strength in the time of trouble.
40 El Señor los ayuda y los rescata de los malvados. Él los salva, porque ellos van a él por protección.
For the Lord shall helpe them, and deliuer them: he shall deliuer them from the wicked, and shall saue them, because they trust in him.
