Salmos 34
1 Un salmo de David sobre la vez que aparentó estar loco frente a Abimelec, quien lo echó de su presencia. Siempre alabaré al Señor; mi boca continuamente lo alabará.
David’s. When he disguised his sanity before Abimelech, —who dismissed him, and he departed. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Let me bless Yahweh at all times, Continually be his praise in my mouth.
2 Estoy orgulloso del Señor desde lo profundo de mi corazón; aquellos que son humildes oirán y serán felices.
In Yahweh, boasteth my soul, The patient oppressed-ones shall hear and be glad.
3 Glorifiquen al Señor conmigo; honremos juntos su nombre.
Ascribe ye greatness unto Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his Name together.
4 Clamé al Señor por ayuda, y él me respondió. Me liberó de todos mis miedos.
I enquired of Yahweh, and he hath answered me, And, out of all my terrors, hath he rescued me.
5 Las caras de aquellos que lo miran brillaran de alegría. Nunca serán abatidos con vergüenza.
They looked unto him and were radiant, And, as for their faces, let them not be abashed.
6 Este pobre hombre lloró, y el Señor me oyó, y me salvó de todos mis problemas.
This, oppressed one cried, and, Yahweh, heard—and, out of all his distresses, saved him.
7 El ángel del Señor permanece vigilante sobre los que le honran, manteniéndolos a salvo.
The messenger of Yahweh encampeth around them who revere him, Thus hath he delivered them.
8 ¡Prueba, y verás que el Señor es bueno! ¡Cuán felices son los que creen su protección!
Oh taste and see, that good is Yahweh, —How happy the man who seeketh refuge in him!
9 Muestra tu reverencia al Señor, tú que eres su pueblo santo, porque a los que lo respetan no les faltará nada.
Revere Yahweh, ye his holy ones, For there is no want to them who revere him.
10 Los leones pueden crecer débiles y hambrientos, pero los que confían en el Señor tienen todo lo que es bueno.
Young lions, have come short, and suffered hunger, but, they who seek Yahweh, shall not lack any good thing.
11 ¡Niños, escúchenme! Les enseñaré como respetar al Señor.
Come, ye children! hearken unto me, The reverence of Yahweh, will I teach you.
12 ¿Quién de ustedes quiere vivir una vida larga y feliz?
Who is the man that desireth life, Loving days, that he may see good?
13 Entonces no dejen que sus lenguas hablen maldad, o que sus labios digan mentiras.
Keep thy tongue from wickedness, And thy lips from speaking deceit:
14 Rechacen lo malo, hagan lo bueno. Busquen la paz, y trabajen para hacerla realidad.
Depart from wickedness and do good, Aim at well-being, and pursue it.
15 El Señor cuida a los que hacen lo correcto, y escucha cuando claman por ayuda.
The eyes of Yahweh, are towards the righteous, And, his ears, towards their cry for help:
16 El Señor es enemigo de los que hacen el mal. Él borrará hasta la memoria de ellos de la tierra.
the face of Yahweh, is against such as do wickedness, To cut off, from the earth, their memory.
17 Pero cuando su pueblo llama pidiendo ayuda, él los escucha y los rescata de sus problemas.
They made outcry, and Yahweh heard, And, out of all their straits, hath he rescued them.
18 El Señor está cerca de los que tienen el corazón roto. Él salva a aquellos cuyo espíritu está quebrantado.
Near is Yahweh, to the broken in heart, And, the crushed in spirit, will he save.
19 Aquellos que hacen lo correcto tienen muchos problemas, pero el Señor los resuelve todos.
Many are the misfortunes of the righteous, But, out of them all, doth Yahweh rescue him.
20 Él los mantiene a salvo, ni uno de sus huesos se romperá.
Keeping all his bones, Not, one from among them, is broken.
21 La maldad mata a los malvados. Aquellos que odian a la gente buena sufrirán por sus malos actos.
Misfortune shall be the death of the lawless one, And, the haters of the righteous man, shall be held guilty.
22 El Señor protege la vida de sus siervos. Aquellos que confían en su protección no sufrirán por sus acciones equivocadas.
Yahweh ransometh the soul of his servants, And none shall be held guilty, who seek refuge in him.
