Salmos 31
1 Un Salmo de David. Para el director del coro. Señor, tú eres el único que me mantiene a salvo; por favor, no dejes que sea humillado. Sálvame, porque siempre haces lo correcto.
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. In thee, O Yahweh, have I sought refuge, Let me not be ashamed to times age-abiding, In thy righteousness, deliver me:
2 Por favor escúchame, y sé pronto en responder. Sé mi roca de protección, mi fuerza y fortaleza.
Incline unto me, thine ear, Speedily rescue me, —Become to me a Rock of refuge, a Place of security, For saving me.
3 Eres mi roca y mi escudo. En nombre de tu reputación, por favor condúceme y guíame.
Because, my mountain crag and my stronghold, thou art, Therefore, for the sake of thine own Name, wilt thou lead me and guide me?
4 Ayúdame a escapar de las redes escondidas que pusieron para atraparme, porque eres el único que me protege.
Wilt thou bring me forth, out of the net which they have hidden for me? For, thou, art my refuge.
5 Me pongo en tus manos. Sálvame, Señor, porque eres un Dios fiel.
Into thy hand, do I commit my spirit—Thou hast ransomed me, O Yahweh, GOD most faithful.
6 Yo aborrezco a los que se dedican a adorar ídolos sin sentido; Yo confío en el Señor.
I hate such as give heed to false vanities, I, then, in Yahweh, have set my hope.
7 Celebraré, feliz en tu amor que nunca falla, porque has visto los problemas que enfrento y has atendido mis luchas.
I will indeed exult and rejoice, in thy lovingkindness, —In that thou hast looked upon my humiliation, thou hast taken note that in distresses was my life;
8 No me has entregado a mis enemigos, y me has liberado.
And hast not shut me up in the hand of the foe, Thou hast given standing, in a roomy place, unto my feet.
9 Sé bondadoso conmigo Señor, porque estoy angustiado. Difícilmente puedo ver de tanto llorar. Me estoy consumiendo.
Show me favour, O Yahweh, for in distress am I, —Wasted with vexation, is mine eye—my soul and my body;
10 El dolor me está matando; mi vida es acortada por la tristeza; me desmayo a causa de mis problemas; estoy desgastado hasta los huesos.
For, consumed with sorrow, is my life, and my years with sighing, —My strength hath staggered with my humiliation, and, my bones, are without marrow.
11 Soy ridiculizado por mis enemigos, especialmente por mis vecinos. Mis amigos temen verme; la gente que me ve en las calles corre y huye lejos de mí.
By reason of all mine adversaries, have I become a reproach. Even to my neighbours, altogether, and a dread to mine acquaintance, —They who have seen me abroad, have fled from me:
12 He sido olvidado como si estuviera muerto, ignorado como una vasija rota.
I have been forgotten, like one dead—out of mind, I have been as a missing vessel.
13 Escucho a mucha gente susurrando cosas sobre mí. El terror me rodea. Ellos conspiran juntos contra mí, planeando matarme.
For I have heard the whispering of many—A terror round about! When they have sat in conclave together against me, to take away my life, have they intrigued.
14 Pero pongo mi confianza en ti, Señor, diciendo, “¡Tú eres mi Dios!”
I, therefore. in thee, have put my trust, O Yahweh, I have said, My God, thou art!
15 ¡Mi vida entera está en tus manos! ¡Sálvame de aquellos que me odian y me persiguen!
In thy hand, are my times, Rescue me from the hand of my foes and from my pursuers!
16 Mira amablemente en dirección a mí, tu siervo. Sálvame conforme a tu amor inefable.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant, Save me in thy lovingkindness.
17 Señor, no dejes que sea deshonrado, porque estoy clamando a ti. En vez de eso, permite que los malvados sean deshonrados, deja que sean silenciados en la tumba. (Sheol h7585)
O Yahweh! let me not be ashamed, For I have called upon thee, Let the lawless be ashamed, Go down in silence to hades! (Sheol h7585)
18 Calla las bocas de aquellos que mienten contra la gente buena, ¡Aquellos que hablan despectivamente en su orgullo y arrogancia!
Let false lips be made dumb, —which are speaking—against a righteous one—arrogantly, with pride and contempt.
19 ¡Cuán maravillosa es la bondad que has reservado para los que te honran! En frente de todos le diste esta bondad a aquellos que vinieron a ti por ayuda.
How great is thy goodness, which thou hast hidden away for them who revere thee, —Thou hast wrought for them who seek refuge in thee, in sight of the sons of men.
20 Los albergaste y los protegiste con tu presencia, manteniéndolos bien lejos de sus enemigos que planeaban contra ellos. Los mantuviste a salvo de ataques y acusaciones.
Thou wilt conceal them, in the secrecy of thine own presence, from the conspiracies of men, —Thou wilt hide them in a pavilion, from the strife of tongues.
21 Bendice al Señor, porque él me ha mostrado su maravilloso e inagotable amor mientras mi ciudad estaba siendo atacada.
Blessed be Yahweh, for he hath made wonderful his lovingkindness for me, in a fortified city.
22 Aterrorizado grité, “¡Estoy siendo destruido justo frente a ti!” Y tú escuchaste mi llanto cuando llamé a ti pidiendo ayuda.
But, I, had said in mine alarm, I am cut off from before thine eyes, —But, indeed, thou didst hear the voice of my supplication, when I cried for help unto thee.
23 ¡Amen al Señor, todos ustedes que confían en Él! Porque el Señor cuida de los que confían en él, pero también devuelve el mal a los que son arrogantes.
Love Yahweh, all ye his men of lovingkindness, —Faithfulness, doth Yahweh observe, but repayeth abundantly him that worketh proudly.
24 Sean fuertes y confíen, ustedes que han puesto su confianza en el Señor.
Be strong, and let your heart be bold, all ye who are waiting for Yahweh.
