Salmos 139
1 Para el director del coro. Un salmo de David. Señor, me has examinado por dentro y por fuera, conoces cada parte de mí.
For the end, a Psalm of David. O Lord, you have proved me, and known me.
2 Sabes cuándo me siento, y cuándo me levanto. Conoces mis pensamientos, aún cuando me encuentro a la distancia.
You know my down-sitting and mine up-rising: you understand my thoughts long before.
3 Observas a dónde voy y dónde descanso. Estás familiarizado con cada cosa que hago.
You have traced my path and my bed, and have foreseen all my ways.
4 Señor, incluso sabes lo que voy a decir, antes de que lo diga.
For there is no unrighteous word in my tongue: behold, O Lord, you have known all things,
5 Siempre estás ahí, detrás de mí, frente a mí, y alrededor mío. Colocaste tu mano protectora sobre mí.
the last and the first: you have fashioned me, and laid your hand upon me.
6 Tu conocimiento maravilloso rebasa mi comprensión, ¡Llega mucho más lejos que mi entendimiento!
The knowledge of you is too wonderful for me; it is very difficult, I can’t [attain] to it.
7 ¿A dónde puedo ir donde ya no estés? ¿A dónde puedo correr para escapar de tu presencia?
Whither shall I go from your Spirit? and whither shall I flee from my presence?
If I should go up to heaven, you are there: if I should go down to hell, you are present. (Sheol h7585)
9 Si tuviera que volar en las alas del alba hacia el este; si tuviera que vivir en la lejana orilla occidental del mar,
If I should spread my wings [to fly] straight forward, and sojourn at the extremity of the sea, [it would be vain],
10 incluso allí tu mano me guiaría, tu diestra me ayudaría.
for even there your hand would guide me, and your right hand would hold me.
11 Si le pidiera a las tinieblas que me escondieran, y que la luz se convirtiera en noche a mi alrededor,
When I said, Surely the darkness will cover me; even the night [was] light in my luxury.
12 las tinieblas no fueran tinieblas para ti, y la noche sería tan brillante como el día, porque las tinieblas son como luz ante tu presencia.
For darkness will not be darkness with you; but night will be light as day: as its darkness, so shall its light [be to you].
13 Tú me creaste por dentro y por fuera, me formaste en el vientre de mi madre.
For you, O Lord, have possessed my reins; you have helped me from my mother's womb.
14 ¡Te alabo porque me hiciste admirable! Maravillosas son tus obras, ¡Me doy cuenta de esto completamente!
I will give you thanks; for you are fearfully wondrous; wondrous are your works; and my soul knows [it] well.
15 Cuando mi cuerpo crecía no estuvo oculto de ti, mientras me formé en secreto, cuando en “lo más profundo de la tierra”, era yo entretejido.
My bones, which you made in secret were not hidden from you, nor my substance, in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Me viste como un embrión, y ante tus ojos ya todos mis días estaban escritos; todos mis días ya estaban diseñados, antes de que ninguno de ellos comenzara.
Your eyes saw my unwrought [substance], and all [men] shall be written in your book; they shall be formed by day, though [there should for a time] be no one among them.
17 Dios, ¡Tus pensamientos son tan valiosos! para mí! ¡Juntándolos, no pueden ser contados!
But your friends, O God, have been greatly honored by me; their rule has been greatly strengthened.
18 Si intentara contarlos, serían más que los granos de al arena en la playa. Sin embargo, cuando me levanto sigo contigo.
I will number them, and they shall be multiplied beyond the sand; I awake, and am still with you.
19 Dios, ¡Si tan solo mataras a los impíos! ¡Asesinos, aléjense de mí!
Oh that you would kill the wicked, O God; depart from me, you men of blood.
20 Cuando hablan de ti son muy malos. Desde que son tus enemigos, utilizan tu nombre en vano.
For you will say concerning [their] thought, [that] they shall take your cities in vain.
21 Señor, ¿Acaso no odio yo a los que te odian? ¡Desprecio a aquellos que se rebelan en tu contra!
Have I not hated them, O Lord, that hate you? and wasted away because of your enemies?
22 Los odio con tanta amargura, ¡Se han vuelto mis enemigos!
I have hated them with perfect hatred; they were counted my enemies.
23 Examíname cuidadosamente, ¡Oh, Dios! Para que puedas estar seguro de lo que verdaderamente siento. Revísame, para que puedas saber lo que realmente pienso.
Prove me, O God, and know my heart; examine me, and know my paths;
24 Por favor, muéstrame si estoy siguiendo alguna clase de ídolo, y guíame en el camino de la vida eterna.
and see if [there is any] way of iniquity in me, and lead me in an everlasting way.
