Salmos 131

1 Un cántico de los peregrinos que van a Jerusalén. Un salmo de David. Señor, no soy orgulloso ni arrogante. No me preocupo de cosas que están más allá de mí, ni de problemas que están más allá de mi experiencia.

Yahweh, I am not proud and I have not thought highly about (myself/the things that I have done). And I do not concern myself about things [that you have done] that are very big or very wonderful.

2 Al contrario, he escogido ser calmado y quieto, como un niño recién amamantado en el regazo de su madre. ¡Soy como un niño recién amamantado!

Instead, I am calm and peaceful, like a [small] child who lies quietly in its mother’s arms [SIM]. In the same way, I am peaceful.

3 Israel, pon tu esperanza en el Señor, desde ahora y para siempre.

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will do good things for you], now and forever!
