Salmos 118
1 ¡Agradezcan al Señor, porque él es bueno! Su gran amor perdura por la eternidad.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto eternity endureth his kindness.
2 Que todo Israel diga, “Su gran amor durará para siempre”.
Let Israel then say so; because to eternity endureth his kindness.
3 Que todos los descendientes de Aarón digan, “Su gran amor durará para siempre”.
Let the house of Aaron then say so; because to eternity endureth his kindness.
4 Que todos los que honran al Señor digan, “Su gran amor durará para siempre”
Let those who fear the Lord then say so; because to eternity endureth his kindness.
5 Yo estaba sufriendo, así que clamé al Señor por ayuda. Él me respondió y me liberó del dolor.
From the midst of distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me with enlargement.
6 El Señor está conmigo, así que no tengo nada que temer. Nadie podrá herirme.
The Lord is for me; I will not fear: what can a man do unto me?
7 El Señor está conmigo, Él me ayudará. Y veré a todos los que me odian derrotados.
The Lord is for me, among those that help me: therefore shall I indeed look on [the punishment of] those that hate me.
8 Es mejor refugiarse en el Señor que confiar en la gente.
It is better to seek shelter with the Lord than to trust in man.
9 Es mejor refugiarse en el Señor que confiar en el rico y poderoso.
It is better to seek shelter with the Lord than to trust in princes.
10 Aun cuando las naciones paganas me rodearon, las destruí con la ayuda del Señor.
All nations encompassed me about; but in the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
11 Me acorralaron totalmente, pero, de todas formas, los vencí con la ayuda del Señor.
They encompassed me about: yea, they compassed about, but in the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
12 Atacaron como un enjambre de abejas, pero su ataque se extinguió tan rápidamente como las zarzas en el fuego. Los vencí con la ayuda del Señor.
They encompassed me about like bees; they blazed up like the fire of thorns; but in the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.
13 Intentaron con todas sus fuerzas matarme, pero el Señor me ayudó.
Thou hast thrust violently at me that I might fall; but the Lord assisted me.
14 El Señor es mi fuerza, y el único por el que canto alabanzas. Él es el único que me salva.
My strength and song is the Lord, and he is become my salvation.
15 Cánticos de victoria se escuchan en las tiendas de los que le son fieles. ¡La poderosa mano del Señor ha hecho maravillas!
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doth valiantly.
16 ¡El Señor levanta su mano en victoria! ¡La poderosa mano del Señor ha hecho maravillas!
The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doth valiantly.
17 No he de morir. De hecho, he de vivir, para contarle a todos las grandes cosas que has hecho.
I shall not die, but I shall live, and relate the works of the Lord.
18 Aunque el Señor me castigue duramente, no me dejará.
Severely hath the Lord chastised me; but unto death hath he not given me up.
19 Ábranme las puertas de justicia para que pueda entrar y agradecerle al Señor.
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter into them. I will give thanks unto the Lord.
20 Estas son las puertas del Señor, donde solo los leales a Dios entran.
This is the gate which belongeth unto the Lord, the righteous shall enter thereby.
21 Quiero agradecerte por responderme y por ser el único que me puede salvar.
I will thank thee: for thou but answered me, and art become my salvation.
22 La piedra rechazada por los constructores ha llegado a ser la piedra angular.
The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone.
23 ¡El Señor ha hecho esto, y es hermoso a nuestros ojos!
From the Lord is this come to pass, it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 ¡El Señor hizo que este día existiera! ¡Nos alegraremos y adoraremos por eso!
This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will be glad and rejoice thereon.
25 ¡Oh, Señor! ¡Por favor sálvanos! ¡Haznos triunfar!
We beseech thee, O Lord, save [us] now: we beseech thee, O Lord, send [us] now prosperity.
26 ¡Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor! ¡Te adoramos desde la casa del Señor!
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we bless you out of the house of the Lord.
27 El Señor es Dios, y su bondad brilla sobre nosotros. Únanse a la procesión con ramas en mano, comiencen la procesión hacia el altar.
God is the Lord, and he giveth us light: bind the festive sacrifice with cords, [leading it] up to the horns of the altar.
28 ¡Tú eres mi Dios, y te agradeceré! ¡tú eres mi Dios, y te alabaré!
Thou art my God, and I will thank thee: my God, I will exalt thee.
29 ¡Agradezcan al Señor, porque Él es bueno! ¡Su gran amor durará por toda la eternidad!
