Salmos 114

1 A través del éxodo de Israel desde Egipto, cuando los descendientes de Jacob salieron de aquella nación extranjera,

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:

2 la tierra de Judá se convirtió en el santuario del Señor, Israel su reino.

Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

3 El mar rojo los vio y huyó; el río Jordán también se retiró.

The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.

4 Las montañas brincaron como carneros, los cerros saltaron como ovejas.

The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.

5 Oh, Mar Rojo, ¿Por qué huiste? Río Jordán, ¿Por qué volviste a atrás?

What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?

6 Montañas, ¿Por qué saltaron alarmadas? Montes, ¿Por qué se asustaron como ovejas?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?

7 Tierra, tiembla ante la presencia del Señor, ¡Tiembla ante la presencia del Dios de Jacob!

At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 Él es el único que puede convertir una roca en manantial de aguas; y hacer brotar el agua de piedras solidas.

Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
