Salmos 109
1 Para el director del coro. Un salmo de David. ¡Oh Dios! Eres el único al que rindo alabanza, por favor no permanezcas en silencio ahora,
To the Chief Musician. David’s. A Melody. O God of my praise, do not be silent;
2 porque la gente malvada y engañosa me está atacando, diciendo mentiras sobre mí
For, the mouth of the lawless one and the mouth of the deceiver, against me, are open, They have spoken to me with false tongue;
3 Me rodean con palabras de odio, pelean contra mí sin razón.
And, with words of hatred, have they surrounded me, and have made war upon me without cause:
4 Los amo, pero ellos me responden con hostilidad, ¡Incluso cuando estoy orando por ellos!
For my love, they have been accusing me, while, I, was at prayer:
5 Me devuelven el bien con el mal, el amor con el odio
Yea they have returned unto me—Evil for good; and, Hatred for my love.
6 “Pon a alguien malo sobre él. Ten a alguien de pie acusándolo.
Set in charge over him, one who is lawless, and let, an accuser, stand at his right hand;
7 Que cuando sea juzgado y sentenciado, sea hallado culpable. Que sus plegarias sean contadas como pecados.
When he is judged, let him go out condemned, and let, his own petition, become a sin;
8 Ojalá se acorten sus vidas; y que alguien más tome su lugar.
Let his days become few, his overseership, let another take;
9 Que sus hijos queden huérfanos, y su esposa viuda.
Let his children become fatherless, and his wife a widow;
10 Y que sus hijos queden desamparados, sin hogar, vagando de aquí para allá, expulsados de sus casas en ruinas.
Let his children, wander about, and beg, Let them be driven out of their ruins;
11 Que los acreedores les quiten todo lo que poseen; y que los ladrones se lleven todo por lo cual han trabajado.
Let the creditor take aim at all that he hath, and let strangers prey on the fruit of his toil;
12 Que nadie los trate bien; que nadie sienta lástima por sus hijos desamparados.
Let him have no one to continue lovingkindness, and there be none to favour his fatherless children;
13 Que todos sus descendientes mueran; que el nombre de su familia sea borrado en la siguiente generación.
Let his posterity be for cutting off, In another generation, let their name be wiped out;
14 Que el Señor recuerde los pecados de sus padres; que los pecados de sus madres no sean borrados.
Remembered be the iniquity of his fathers against Yahweh, and, the sin of his mother, let it not be wiped out;
15 Que sus errores permanezcan constantemente ante el Señor; y que su nombre sea olvidado completamente por el pueblo.
Let them be before Yahweh continually, and let the memory of them, be cut off out of the earth.
16 Porque no pensó en ser amable con otros, y en su lugar, acosó y mató a los pobres, a lo necesitados y a los de corazón roto.
Because that he remembered not to show lovingkindness, but pursued the man that was oppressed and needy, that, the downhearted, he might slay.
17 Le encantaba maldecir a otros, ¡Que caiga sobre él ahora la maldición! Más no tenía tiempo para bendecir, ¡Así que ojalá nunca reciba una sola bendición!
Because he loved cursing, May it have come upon him, Because he delighted not in blessing, May it have kept far from him;
18 Maldecía tan a menudo como cambiaba de ropa. Ojalá se trague sus maldiciones como bebe el agua, como el aceite que frota sobre su piel y llega hasta sus huesos.
Because he clothed himself in cursing as his outer garment, therefore may it have entered like water into his inward part, and like oil into his bones;
19 Que las maldiciones que ha lanzado se peguen a él como la ropa, que lo aprieten todo el tiempo como un cinto”.
Be it his, as a garment he shall wrap round him, and for a girdle he shall, at all times, gird on:
20 Que todo esto sea el castigo del Señor sobre mis enemigos, sobre aquellos que hablan mal de mí.
This, be the reward of mine accusers, from Yahweh, even of them who are speaking wrongfully against my life.
21 Pero a mí, Señor, trátame bien, por tu nombre. Sálvame porque eres leal y bueno.
But, thou, Yahweh, Adonay, deal effectually with me, for the sake of thy Name, Since good is thy lovingkindness, O rescue me;
22 Porque estoy pobre y necesitado, y mi corazón se rompe.
For, oppressed and needy, I am, and, my heart, is wounded within me.
23 Me estoy desvaneciendo como una sombra nocturna; soy como una langosta que se sacude.
As a shadow when it stretcheth out, I am gone, I am shaken off like the locust;
24 Estoy tan débil por la falta de comida que mis piernas ya no dan más; Mi cuerpo es solo piel y huesos.
My knees, tremble from fasting, and, my flesh, faileth of fatness:
25 ¡La gente me ridiculiza, me miran y menean la cabeza!
So, I, am become a reproach for them, They see me, they shake their head.
26 Ayúdame, Dios mío; sálvame por tu gran amor.
Help me! O Yahweh my God, Save me, according to thy lovingkindness:
27 Que los demás reconozcan que esto es lo que haces, que tú eres el único que me salva.
That they may know that, Thine own hand, this is, Thou, Yahweh, hast done it.
28 Cuando me maldigan, tú me bendecirás. Cuando me ataquen, tú los destruirás. Y yo, tu siervo, me alegraré.
They, may curse if, thou, wilt bless, —Mine assailants, shall be ashamed, but, thy servant, shall rejoice;
29 Que todos los que me acusan sean revestidos con desgracias; que se cubran a sí mismos con capas de vergüenza.
Mine accusers shall be clothed with confusion, and shall wrap about them, like a cloak, their own shame.
30 Pero yo seguiré agradeciendo al Señor, alabándolo frente a todos los que me rodean.
I will thank Yahweh loudly with my mouth, Yea, in the midst of multitudes, will I praise him;
31 Porque él defiende al necesitado, y lo salva de aquellos que lo condenan.
Because he standeth at the right hand of the needy, To save, from them who would pass sentence on his life.
