Proverbios 18
1 Los egoístas solo se complacen a sí mismos. Atacan todo lo que procede de la inteligencia.
Desire he seeks [one who] separates himself on all sound wisdom he bursts out.
2 A los necios no les importa entender, sino solo expresar sus opiniones.
Not he delights a fool in understanding that except in revealing itself heart his.
3 Con la maldad viene el desprecio, y con la deshonra viene la desgracia.
When comes a wicked [person] it comes also contempt and with shame reproach.
4 Las palabras de las personas pueden ser profundas como las aguas; como una corriente que brota y es la fuente de la sabiduría.
[are] waters Deep [the] words of [the] mouth of a person a wadi flowing a fountain of wisdom.
5 No es correcto mostrar preferencia con el culpable y privar al inocente de la justicia.
To lift up [the] face of a wicked [person] not [is] good to turn aside a righteous [person] in judgment.
6 Las palabras de los necios los meten en problemas, como si pidieran a gritos una paliza.
[the] lips of A fool they go in strife and mouth his for blows it calls.
7 Los necios caen por sus propias palabras. Sus propias palabras los enredan en una trampa.
[the] mouth of A fool [is] ruin of him and lips his [are] [the] snare of life his.
8 Escuchar chismes es como comer bocados de tu comida favorita. Llegan hasta lo más profundo.
[the] words of A slanderer [are] like delicacies and they they go down [the] chambers of [the] belly.
9 La pereza y la destrucción son hermanos.
Also [one who] shows himself idle in work his [is] a brother he of a master of destruction.
10 El Señor es una torre protectora para los justos, bajo la cual pueden estar seguros.
[is] a tower of Strength [the] name of Yahweh in it he runs a righteous [person] and he is set on high.
11 Los ricos ven la riqueza como una ciudad fortificada. Es como un muro alto en su imaginación.
[the] wealth of A rich [person] [is] [the] town of strength his and like a wall high in own imagination his.
12 El orgullo conduce a la destrucción. La humildad precede a la honra.
Before destruction it is haughty [the] heart of a person and [is] before honor humility.
13 Responder antes de escuchar es estupidez y vergüenza.
[one who] brings back A word before he listens [is] folly it of him and ignominy.
14 Con un espíritu valiente podrás combatir la enfermedad, pero si tu espíritu está quebrantado, será imposible soportarla.
[the] spirit of A person it will endure sickness his and a spirit stricken who? will he bear it.
15 Una mente inteligente adquiere conocimiento; los sabios están prestos para escuchar el conocimiento.
A heart discerning it acquires knowledge and [the] ear of wise [people] it seeks knowledge.
16 Un don abrirá puertas para ti, y te llevará a la presencia de personas importantes.
[the] gift of A person it makes space for him and before great [people] it leads him.
17 La primera persona en alegar un caso estará en lo correcto hasta que alguien llegue a examinarlos.
[is] righteous The first in case his (and he will come *Q(K)*) neighbor his and he will examine him.
18 Entre los poderosos echar suertes puede acabar una disputa y mostrar la decisión correcta.
Contentions it puts an end to the lot and between mighty [people] it separates.
19 Un hermano a quien has ofendido será más difícil de reconquistar que una ciudad fortificada. Las peleas separan a las personas como barras en las puertas de un castillo.
A brother transgressed [is] more than a town of strength (and contentions *Q(K)*) [are] like [the] bar of a fortress.
20 Asegúrate de estar en paz con lo que dices, porque siempre tendrás que vivir con tus palabras.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person it is satisfied belly his [the] produce of lips his he is satisfied.
21 Tus palabras tienen el poder de traer vida o muerte; aquellos que disfrutan hablar mucho tendrán que vivir con las consecuencias.
Death and life [are] in [the] hand of [the] tongue and [those who] love it he will eat fruit its.
22 Si encuentras una esposa has hallado un bien, y serás bendecido por el Señor.
He finds a wife he finds a good thing and he obtained pleasure from Yahweh.
23 Los pobres ruegan por misericordia, pero los ricos responden con dureza.
Supplications he speaks a poor [person] and a rich [person] he answers strong [words].
24 Algunos amigos te abandonarán, pero hay un amigo que estará más cercano que un hermano.
A person of companions [is] to be broken and there [is one who] loves cleaving more than a brother.
