Filipenses 4
1 Así que permanezcan firmes en el Señor, mis queridos amigos, pues ustedes son muy importantes para mí, y me hacen muy feliz. ¡Ustedes son mi corona! ¡En verdad los amo y anhelo verlos!
So then, my dear Brothers, whom I am longing to see — you who are my joy and my crown, stand fast in union with the Lord, dear friends.
2 A Evodia y Síntique, les ruego que resuelvan sus diferencias la una con la otra y lleguen a un acuerdo en el Señor.
I entreat Euodia, and I entreat Syntyche, to live in harmony, in union with the Lord;
3 De hecho, le pido a mi compañero de trabajo, que ayude a estas mujeres, pues ellas trabajaron conmigo en la predicación de la buena noticia, así como Clemente y mis demás compañeros, cuyos nombres están escritos en el libro de la vida.
yes, and I ask you, my true comrade, to help them, remembering that they toiled by my side in spreading the Good News; and so, too, did Clement and my other fellow-workers, whose names are ‘in the Book of Life.’
4 Estén siempre felices en el Señor. Les repito: ¡estén felices!
All joy be yours at all times in your union with the Lord. Again I repeat — All joy be yours.
5 Todos deberían saber de su bondad. El Señor estará pronto aquí.
Let your forbearing spirit be plain to every one. The Lord is near.
6 No se preocupen por nada, sino oren a Dios por todas las cosas, y explíquenle lo que necesitan, y agradézcanle por todo lo que él hace.
Do not be anxious about anything; but under all circumstances, by prayer and entreaty joined with thanksgiving, make your needs known to God.
7 Entonces la paz que viene de Dios, que es mejor que lo que podríamos imaginar, guardará sus corazones y mentes en Cristo Jesús.
Then the Peace of God, which is beyond all human understanding, will stand guard over your hearts and thoughts, through your union with Christ Jesus.
8 Por último, piensen en todo lo que es verdadero, todo lo honorable, todo lo recto, todo lo puro, todo lo que es bello, todo lo que es elogiable, todo lo que en verdad es digno de alabanza.
In conclusion, Brothers, wherever you find anything true or honourable, righteous or pure, loveable or praiseworthy, or if ‘virtue’ and ‘honour’ have any meaning, there let your thoughts dwell.
9 Practiquen lo que han aprendido y lo que han recibido de mí, así como lo que me vieron hacer y decir. Entonces el Dios de paz estará con ustedes.
All that you learned and received and heard and saw in me put into practice continually; and then God, the giver of peace, will be with you.
10 Estoy muy feliz en el Señor porque ustedes han pensado otra vez en mí, al darme cuenta de que ustedes estaban preocupados por mí pero no podían hacer nada al respecto.
It was a matter of great joy to me, as one in union with the Lord, that at length your interest in me had revived. The interest indeed you had, but not the opportunity.
11 No les hablo de mis necesidades, porque ya he aprendido a estar satisfecho en cualquier situación que me encuentre.
Do not think that I am saying this under the pressure of want. For I, however I am placed, have learned to be independent of circumstances.
12 Estoy acostumbrado a no tener nada, y he tenido la experiencia de tener abundancia también. En cada situación que me sea posible, he aprendido el secreto de enfrentarme a la abundancia y luego no tener para comer, de ser rico y vivir en la pobreza:
I know how to face humble circumstances, and I know how to face prosperity. Into all and every human experience I have been initiated — into plenty and hunger, into prosperity and want.
13 ¡Todo lo puedo en Cristo, porque él me fortalece!
I can do everything in the strength of him who makes me strong!
14 Aún así, hicieron bien en compartir conmigo durante mis tribulaciones.
Yet you have acted nobly in sharing my troubles.
15 Ustedes los filipenses recuerdan que al principio, cuando comenzamos a predicar la buena noticia, cuando partí de Macedonia, la iglesia de ustedes era la única que me brindaba ayuda económica.
And you at Philippi know, as well as I, that in the early days of the Good News — at the time when I had just left Macedonia — no Church, with the one exception of yourselves, had anything to do with me as far as giving and receiving are concerned.
16 Incluso cuando estuve en Tesalónica me ayudaron, no una sola vez sino dos.
Indeed, even while I was still in Thessalonica, you sent more than once to relieve my wants.
17 No es que esté pidiendo una donación. Sino que procuro que su “saldo a favor” aumente en su “cuenta”.
It is not that I am anxious for your gifts, but I am anxious to see the abundant return that will be placed to your account. I have enough of everything, and to spare.
18 ¡Porque yo tengo de todo, incluso más de lo que necesito! Estoy agradecido por haber recibido de parte de Epafrodito las cosas que me enviaron. Son como un sacrificio con dulce aroma que agrada a Dios y él aprueba.
My wants are fully satisfied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts which you sent me — the sweet fragrance of a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
19 ¡Mi Dios suplirá todas las cosas que ustedes necesiten, conforme a sus riquezas gloriosas en Cristo Jesús!
And my God, out of the greatness of his wealth, will, in glory, fully satisfy your every need, through your union with Christ Jesus.
To him, our God and Father, be ascribed all glory for every and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
21 Saluden a todos los creyentes en Cristo Jesús. Los hermanos y hermanas cristianos que están conmigo les envían su saludo.
Give my greeting to every one of the People of Christ Jesus. The Brothers who are with me send your their greetings.
22 Todos los creyentes les envían saludo, especialmente los del palacio del César.
All Christ’s People here, and especially those who belong to the Emperor’s household, send theirs.
23 Que la gracia del Señor Jesucristo esté con el espíritu de cada uno de ustedes.
May the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ rest on your souls.
