Números 30
1 Moisés dijo a los jefes de las tribus de Israel: “Esto es lo que nos ordena el Señor:
Moses also spake vnto the heads of ye tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded,
2 Si un hombre hace una promesa solemne al Señor, o promete hacer algo jurando, no debe romper su promesa. Debe hacer todo lo que dijo que haría.
Whosoeuer voweth a vow vnto the Lord, or sweareth an othe to binde him selfe by a bonde, he shall not breake his promise, but shall do according to al that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 “Si una mujer joven que aún vive en la casa de su padre hace una promesa solemne al Señor o se compromete a hacer algo mediante un juramento
If a woman also vow a vow vnto the Lord, and binde her selfe by a bonde, being in her fathers house, in the time of her youth,
4 y su padre se entera de su promesa o juramento pero no le dice nada, todas las promesas o juramentos que ha hecho se mantendrán.
And her father heare her vowe and bonde, wherewith she hath bound her selfe, and her father hold his peace concerning her, then all her vowes shall stande, and euery bonde, wherewith she hath bound her selfe, shall stand.
5 Pero si su padre las rechaza tan pronto como se entere, entonces ninguna de sus promesas o juramentos serán válidos. El Señor la liberará de cumplirlas porque su padre las ha desautorizado.
But if her father disallow her the same day that he heareth all her vowes and bondes, wherewith she hath bound her selfe, they shall not bee of value, and the Lord will forgiue her, because her father disallowed her.
6 “Si una mujer se casa después de haber hecho una promesa solemne o un juramento sin pensarlo
And if she haue an husband when she voweth or pronounceth ought with her lips, wherewith she bindeth her selfe,
7 y su marido se entera de ello pero no le dice nada inmediatamente, todas las promesas o juramentos que haya hecho se mantendrán.
If her husband heard it, and holdeth his peace concerning her, the same day he heareth it, then her vowe shall stande, and her bondes wherewith she bindeth her selfe shall stand in effect.
8 Pero si su marido las rechaza cuando se entera de ello, entonces ninguna de sus promesas o juramentos permanecen válidos y el Señor la liberará de cumplirlos.
But if her husband disallow her the same day that hee heareth it, then shall hee make her vowe which shee hath made, and that that shee hath pronounced with her lips, wherewith shee bound her selfe, of none effect: and the Lord will forgiue her.
9 “Toda promesa solemne hecha por una viuda o una mujer divorciada debe cumplirse.
But euery vowe of a widowe, and of her that is diuorced (wherewith she hath bound her selfe) shall stand in effect with her.
10 “Si una mujer que vive con su marido hace una promesa solemne al Señor o se compromete a hacer algo mediante un juramento,
And if she vowed in her husbands house, or bound her selfe streightly with an othe,
11 y su marido se entera de su promesa o juramento pero no le dice nada y no lo desautoriza, entonces ninguna de sus promesas o juramentos permanecen válidos.
And her husband hath heard it, and helde his peace cocerning her, not disalowing her, then all her vowes shall stand, and euery bond, wherewith she bound her selfe, shall stand in effect.
12 Pero si su marido las rechaza tan pronto como se entera de ello, entonces ninguna de sus promesas o juramentos siguen siendo válidos. El Señor la liberará de mantenerlas porque su marido las ha rechazado.
But if her husband disanulled them, the same day that he heard them, nothing that proceeded out of her lippes concerning her vowes or concerning her bondes, shall stand in effect: for her husband hath disanulled them: and the Lord will forgiue her.
13 “Su marido también puede confirmar o rechazar cualquier promesa o juramento solemne que la mujer haga para negarse a sí misma.
So euery vowe, and euery othe or bonde, made to humble the soule, her husband may stablish it, or her husband may breake it.
14 Pero si su marido no le dice nunca una palabra al respecto, se supone que ha confirmado todas las promesas y juramentos solemnes que ella ha hecho.
But if her husband holde his peace concerning her from day to day, then he stablisheth al her vowes and all her bondes which shee hath made: hee hath confirmed them because he held his peace concerning her the same day that hee hearde them.
15 Sin embargo, si él las rechaza algún tiempo después de enterarse de ellas, entonces él tendrá la responsabilidad de que ella las rompa”.
But if he breake them after that he hath heard them, then shall he beare her iniquitie.
16 Estos son los preceptos que el Señor dio a Moisés sobre la relación entre un hombre y su esposa, y entre un padre y una hija que es joven y todavía vive en casa.
These are the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses, betweene a man and his wife, and betweene the father and his daughter, being young in her fathers house.
