Marcos 3
1 Una vez más Jesús fue a la sinagoga. Allí estaba un hombre que tenía una mano lisiada.
Again he went into a synagogue where there was a man with his hand withered.
2 Algunos de los que estaban allí estaban observando si Jesús lo sanaría en sábado, pues estaban buscando un motivo para acusarlo de quebrantar la ley.
And they kept watching Jesus to see whether he would cure him on the Sabbath; so as to have some charge to bring against him.
3 Jesús le dijo al hombre con la mano lisiada: “Ven y párate aquí frente a todos”.
"Stand up," Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, "and come forward."
4 “¿Es lícito hacer el bien en sábado, o hacer el mal? ¿Debemos salvar vidas o matar?” les preguntó. Pero ellos no dijeron ni una palabra.
Then he asked them. "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath Day, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?"
5 Jesús los miró con enojo, muy molesto por la dureza de sus corazones. Entonces le dijo al hombre: “Extiende tu mano”. Y el hombre extendió su mano, y le fue sanada.
They were silent. Then looking around upon them with anger, and deeply grieved by the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand!" He stretched it out, and the hand was at once completely restored.
6 Los fariseos salieron, e inmediatamente comenzaron a conspirar con los aliados de Herodes sobre cómo podían matar a Jesús.
As soon as they came out, the Pharisees plotted against him with the Herodians, in order to destroy him.
7 Mientras tanto, Jesús regresó al Mar, y una gran multitud lo seguía. Había gente de Galilea,
Then Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great crowd of people from Galilee followed.
8 de Judea, de Idumea, de Transjordania, y de las regiones de Tiro y Sidón. Muchas personas venían a verlo porque habían escuchado todo lo que él hacía.
From Judea, too, and Jerusalem, and Idumea, and from beyond Jordan, and from the district of Tyre and Sidon, they came to him a vast multitude, because they heard what he was doing.
9 Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos que tuvieran una embarcación pequeña en caso de que la multitud comenzara a aglomerarse sobre él,
So he directed his disciples to keep a little boat in readiness for him, because of the crowd, to prevent their crushing him.
10 porque había sanado a tantas personas que todos los enfermos seguían tratando de amontonarse y empujarse para poder tocarlo.
For he had healed so many that all the people who had ailments pressed upon him so as to touch him.
11 Cada vez que los espíritus malos lo veian, caían frente a él y comenzaban a gritar: “¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!”
And whenever the unclean spirits beheld him, they threw themselves down at his feet, screaming out, "You are the Son of God."
12 Pero Jesús les ordenaba que no revelasen quién era él.
But over and over, he strictly forbade them to make him known.
13 Entonces Jesús se fue al monte. Llamó a los que quería que lo acompañaran, y ellos fueron con él.
Then he went up the hillside and called to him those whom he chose, and they came to him.
14 Eligió a doce para que estuvieran con él, y los llamó apóstoles. Ellos estarían con él, y él los enviaría a anunciar la buena noticia,
Twelve of them whom he also called "Apostles," he appointed to be with him, and also that he might send them out to preach,
15 dándoles autoridad para expulsar demonios.
and to have authority to cast out demons.
16 Estos son los doce que él escogió: Simón (a quien llamó Pedro),
There was Simon, whom he surnamed Peter,
17 Santiago, hijo de Zebedeo y su hermano Juan (a quienes llamó Boanerges, que quiere decir “hijos del trueno”),
and James(them he surnamed Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder),
18 Andrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás, Santiago hijo de Alfeo, Tadeo, Simón el revolucionario,
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and Jamesthe son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot,
19 y Judas Iscariote (quien lo entregó).
and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.
20 Jesús se fue a casa, pero la gran multitud se volvió a reunir y él y sus discípulos ni siquiera tenían tiempo para comer.
Then he went into a house, but again such a multitude assembled that they could not get their food.
21 Cuando la familia de Jesús escuchó acerca de esto, fueron a buscarlo para llevárselo, porque decían: “¡se ha vuelto loco!”
When his relatives heard of it, they came to take possession of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
22 Pero los líderes religiosos de Jerusalén, decían: “¡Él está poseído por Belcebú! ¡Es en nombre del príncipe de los demonios que los expulsa!”
The Scribes also who had come down from Jerusalem, said, "He is Beelzebub," and, "He casts out demons by the power of the Prince of the demons."
23 Pero Jesús los llamó para que se acercaran a él. Y a través de ilustraciones les preguntó: “¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás?
So when he had called them to him he spoke to them in parables. "How," said he, "can Satan cast out Satan?
24 Un reino que pelea contra sí mismo no puede mantenerse.
If a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
25 Una casa dividida está destinada a la destrucción.
if a household be divided against itself, that household cannot stand;
26 Si Satanás está dividido y pelea contra sí mismo, no durará y pronto llegará a su fin.
and if Satan has revolted against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand. Nay, he meets his end!
27 Sin duda, si alguien entra a robar a la casa de un hombre fuerte y trata de llevarse sus pertenencias, no lo logrará a menos que ate al hombre fuerte primero”.
"Indeed, no one can enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property without first binding the strong man; then he can plunder his house.
28 “Les digo la verdad: los pecados y las blasfemias pueden ser perdonados,
In solemn truth I tell you that the sons of men shall be forgiven all their sins and all the blasphemies they may utter,
30 (Jesús dijo esto porque ellos decían: “Él tiene un espíritu maligno”).
Because they kept saying, "He has an unclean spirit."
31 Entonces la madre de Jesús y sus hermanos llegaron. Lo esperaron afuera y mandaron a alguien para que le pidiera que saliera.
Then his mother and his brothers came up, and standing outside, they sent a messenger to him to call him.
32 La multitud que estaba sentada afuera le dijo: “Tu madre y tus hermanos están allá afuera preguntando por ti”.
Now a crowd was sitting round him and they told him, "See! your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, wanting to see you."
33 “¿Quién es mi madre? ¿Quiénes son mis hermanos?” respondió él.
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he replied.
34 Y mirando alrededor a todos los que estaban sentados, les dijo: “¡Aquí está mi madre! ¡Aquí están mis hermanos!
Then, with a glance at those who were in the circle sitting around him, he added.
35 Todo aquél que hace la voluntad de Dios, ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre”.
"Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God, that one is my brother and sister and mother."
