Marcos 14
1 Faltaban dos días para la Pascua y para la fiesta de los panes sin levadura. Los jefes de los sacerdotes y los líderes religiosos estaban tratando de encontrar alguna manera oculta de arrestar a Jesús y mandarlo a matar.
And two daies after followed the feast of the Passeouer, and of vnleauened bread: and the hie Priests, and Scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
2 “Pero no será durante la Pascua”, pensaban ellos, “de lo contrario el pueblo podría amotinarse”.
But they sayde, Not in the feast day, least there be any tumult among the people.
3 Mientras tanto, Jesús estaba en Betania cenando en la casa de Simón, el leproso. Entonces una mujer entró con un frasco de alabastro que contenía un costoso perfume de nardo puro. Ella quebró el frasco y derramó el perfume sobre la cabeza de Jesús.
And when hee was in Bethania in the house of Simon the leper, as he sate at table, there came a woman hauing a boxe of oyntment of spikenarde, very costly, and shee brake the boxe, and powred it on his head.
4 Y algunos de los que estaban allí se molestaron y dijeron: “¿Por qué desperdiciar este perfume?
Therefore some disdained among themselues, and sayde, To what ende is this waste of oyntment?
5 Podría haberse vendido por el salario de un año y luego se le habría dado ese dinero a los pobres.” Y estaban muy molestos con ella.
For it might haue bene sold for more then three hundreth pence, and bene giuen vnto the poore, and they murmured against her.
6 Pero Jesús respondió: “¡Déjenla en paz! ¿Por qué la critican por hacer algo bueno por mí?
But Iesus saide, Let her alone: why trouble yee her? shee hath wrought a good worke on me.
7 Ustedes siempre tendrán a los pobres entre ustedes y podrán ayudarlos cuando quieran. Pero no siempre me tendrán a mí aquí con ustedes.
For yee haue the poore with you alwaies, and when yee will yee may doe them good, but me yee shall not haue alwaies.
8 Ella hizo lo que pudo: ungió mi cuerpo en anticipación para mi sepultura.
She hath done that she coulde: she came afore hand to anoynt my body to the burying.
9 Les digo la verdad: dondequiera que se predique la Buena Noticia, la gente recordará lo que ella hizo”.
Verely I say vnto you, wheresoeuer this Gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done, shalbe spoken of in remembrance of her.
10 Entonces Judas Iscariote, uno de los doce discípulos, fue donde los jefes de los sacerdotes y llegó con ellos a un acuerdo para entregarles a Jesús.
Then Iudas Iscariot, one of the twelue, went away vnto the hie Priestes, to betray him vnto them.
11 Cuando ellos oyeron esto, se alegraron, y prometieron pagarle. Así que Judas comenzó a buscar una oportunidad para entregar a Jesús.
And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised that they woulde giue him monie: therefore he sought howe he might conueniently betraie him.
12 El primer día de la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, el tiempo cuando se sacrifica el cordero de la Pascua, los discípulos de Jesús le preguntaron: “¿Dónde quieres que vayamos a preparar la cena de la Pascua para ti?”
Nowe the first day of vnleauened bread, when they sacrificed the Passeouer, his disciples sayde vnto him, Where wilt thou that we goe and prepare, that thou mayest eate the Passeouer?
13 Entonces él envió a dos de sus discípulos, diciéndoles: “Entren a la ciudad y allí conocerán a un hombre que llevará una olla de agua. Síganlo
Then hee sent foorth two of his disciples, and sayde vnto them, Goe yee into the citie, and there shall a man meete you bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14 y cuando él entre a una casa, pregúntenle al dueño dónde puedo yo celebrar con mis discípulos la Pascua.
And whithersoeuer he goeth in, say yee to the good man of the house, The Master sayeth, Where is the lodging where I shall eate the Passeouer with my disciples?
15 Él los llevará a un salón en el piso de arriba, que ya está arreglado y listo. Allí pueden hacer los preparativos para nosotros”.
And he wil shewe you an vpper chamber which is large, trimmed and prepared: there make it readie for vs.
16 Entonces los discípulos fueron a la ciudad, y encontraron las cosas tal como él las había descrito. Prepararon la cena de la Pascua,
So his disciples went foorth, and came to the citie, and found as he had said vnto them, and made readie the Passeouer.
17 y en la noche Jesús fue allí con los doce discípulos.
And at euen he came with the twelue.
18 Mientras estaban sentados y comiendo, Jesús dijo: “Les digo la verdad: uno de ustedes va a entregarme, uno que está comiendo ahora conmigo”.
And as they sate at table and did eate, Iesus said, Verely I say vnto you, that one of you shall betray me, which eateth with me.
19 Ellos estaban sorprendidos, y cada uno preguntaba: “No soy yo, ¿cierto?”
Then they began to be sorowful and to say to him one by one, Is it I? And another, Is it I?
20 “Es uno de los doce, uno de ustedes y que está compartiendo esta comida conmigo.
And he answered and sayde vnto them, It is one of the twelue that dippeth with mee in the platter.
21 El Hijo del hombre morirá, tal como lo dijeron las Escrituras. ¡Pero cuán terrible será para quien entregue al Hijo del hombre! Mejor sería que ese hombre no hubiera nacido”.
Truely the Sonne of man goeth his way, as it is written of him: but woe bee to that man, by whome the Sonne of man is betrayed: it had beene good for that man, if hee had neuer beene borne.
22 Mientras comían, Jesús tomó el pan con sus manos. Luego lo bendijo y lo dio a los discípulos. “Tomen. Este es mi cuerpo”, les dijo.
And as they did eate, Iesus tooke the bread, and when hee had giuen thankes, he brake it and gaue it to them, and sayde, Take, eate, this is my bodie.
23 Entonces tomó la copa en sus manos. La bendijo y la dio a los discípulos. Y todos bebieron de ella.
Also he tooke the cuppe, and when he had giuen thankes, gaue it to them: and they all dranke of it.
24 “Esta es mi sangre”, les dijo, “el pacto que es vertido por muchos.
And he saide vnto them, This is my blood of that newe Testament, which is shed for many.
25 Les digo la verdad: no beberé más del fruto de la vid hasta el día en que lo beba nuevamente en el reino de Dios”.
Verely I say vnto you, I wil drinke no more of the fruit of ye vine vntill that day, that I drinke it newe in the kingdome of God.
26 Después de haber cantado un salmo, se fueron hacia el Monte de los Olivos.
And when they had sung a Psalme, they went out to the mount of Oliues.
27 “Todos ustedes me abandonarán”, les dijo Jesús. “Porque como dicen las Escrituras, ‘Yo atacaré al pastor, y las ovejas estarán totalmente dispersas’.
Then Iesus said vnto them, Al ye shall be offended by mee this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepheard, and the sheepe shall be scattered.
28 Pero después que yo me haya levantado de entre los muertos, iré delante de ustedes a Galilea”.
But after that I am risen, I will goe into Galile before you.
29 “Yo no te abandonaré aunque todos los demás lo hagan”, respondió Pedro.
And Peter saide vnto him, Although all men should be offended at thee, yet would not I.
30 Jesús le respondió: “Te digo la verdad hoy: esta misma noche, antes de que el gallo cante dos veces, tres veces negarás que me conoces”.
Then Iesus saide vnto him, Verely I say vnto thee, this day, euen in this night, before the cocke crowe twise, thou shalt denie me thrise.
31 Pero Pedro, insistentemente dijo: “Aun si me toca morir contigo, nunca te negaré”. Y todos ellos dijeron lo mismo.
But he saide more earnestly. If I shoulde die with thee, I will not denie thee: likewise also saide they all.
32 Llegaron entonces a un lugar llamado Getsemaní, donde Jesús le dijo a sus discípulos: “Siéntense aquí mientras yo voy a orar”.
After, they came into a place named Gethsemane: then hee saide to his disciples, Sit yee here, till I haue praied.
33 Y llevó consigo a Pedro, Santiago y Juan. Entonces su espíritu se turbó y estaba muy afligido.
And hee tooke with him Peter, and Iames, and Iohn, and hee began to be troubled, and in great heauinesse,
34 Jesús les dijo: “Mi agonía es tan dolorosa que siento que muero. Por favor, quédense aquí y estén despiertos”.
And saide vnto them, My soule is very heauie, euen vnto the death: tarie here, and watch.
35 Se fue un poco más lejos y se postró en el suelo. Oraba, pidiendo que el momento que estaba por llegar pudiera evitarse, si fuera posible.
So he went forward a litle, and fell downe on the ground, and praied, that if it were possible, that houre might passe from him.
36 “¡Abba, Padre! Tú puedes hacerlo todo”, decía. “Por favor, quítame esta copa de sufrimiento. Pero que no sea como yo quiero, sino como tú quieres”.
And he saide, Abba, Father, all things are possible vnto thee: take away this cup from me: neuertheles not that I will, but that thou wilt, be done.
37 Entonces Jesús regresó y encontró a los discípulos dormidos. “Simón, ¿estás durmiendo?” le preguntó a Pedro. “¿No pudieron estar despiertos conmigo tan solo una hora?
Then hee came, and founde them sleeping, and said to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watche one houre?
38 Quédense despiertos y oren para que no caigan en tentación. El espíritu está dispuesto, pero el cuerpo es débil”.
Watch ye, and pray, that ye enter not into tentation: the spirite in deede is ready, but the flesh is weake.
39 Una vez más los dejó allí, y oraba, pidiendo lo mismo otra vez.
And againe hee went away, and praied, and spake the same wordes.
40 Entonces regresó y una vez más los encontró durmiendo porque no podía mantener sus ojos abiertos. Ellos no sabían qué responder.
And he returned, and founde them a sleepe againe: for their eyes were heauie: neither knewe they what they should answere him.
41 Entonces Jesús regresó por tercera vez, y les preguntó, “¿aún están dormidos? ¿Aún están descansando? ¡Pues ya es suficiente, porque ha llegado el momento! Miren, el Hijo del hombre está a punto de ser entregado en manos de pecadores.
And he came the third time, and said vnto them, Sleepe henceforth, and take your rest: it is ynough: the houre is come: beholde, the Sonne of man is deliuered into the hands of sinners.
42 ¡Levántense! ¡Vamos! Miren, aquí viene el que me entrega”.
Rise vp: let vs go: loe, he that betraieth me, is at hand.
43 Justo cuando decía esto, Judas—uno de los doce discípulos—llegó con una turba que traía espadas y palos, enviados por los jefes de los sacerdotes, líderes religiosos y ancianos.
And immediatly while hee yet spake, came Iudas that was one of the twelue, and with him a great multitude with swordes and staues from the hie Priests, and Scribes, and Elders.
44 Aconteció que el que entregaba a Jesús se había puesto de acuerdo con ellos en una señal: “El que yo bese, ese es. Arréstenlo, y llévenselo bajo custodia”.
And he that betraied him, had giuen them a token, saying, Whomsoeuer I shall kisse, he it is: take him and leade him away safely.
45 Judas llegó directamente donde estaba Jesús. “Maestro”, le dijo, y lo besó.
And assoone as hee was come, hee went straightway to him, and saide, Haile Master, and kissed him.
46 Entonces ellos lo agarraron y lo arrestaron.
Then they laide their handes on him, and tooke him.
47 Pero uno de los que estaba allí sacó su espada e hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote, cortándole la oreja.
And one of them that stoode by, drewe out a sword, and smote a seruant of the hie Priest, and cut off his eare.
48 “¿Acaso soy alguna clase de rebelde, que han venido a arrestarme con espadas y palos?” les preguntó Jesús.
And Iesus answered and saide to them, Ye be come out as against a thiefe with swordes, and with staues, to take me.
49 “Estuve allí en el Templo, enseñándoles cada día. ¿Por qué no me arrestaron en ese momento? Pero esto ha ocurrido para cumplir las Escrituras”.
I was daily with you teaching in the Temple, and yee tooke me not: but this is done that the Scriptures should be fulfilled.
50 Entonces todos los discípulos de Jesús lo abandonaron y huyeron.
Then they all forsooke him, and fled.
51 (Uno de sus seguidores era un joven que usaba solamente un vestido de lino.
And there followed him a certaine yong man, clothed in linnen vpon his bare bodie, and the yong men caught him.
52 Ellos lo sujetaron por la fuerza, pero él salió corriendo desnudo, dejando allí tirado su vestido).
But he left his linnen cloth, and fled from them naked.
53 Entonces llevaron a Jesús a la casa del sumo sacerdote, donde se habían reunido todos los jefes de los sacerdotes, ancianos y líderes religiosos.
So they led Iesus away to the hie Priest, and to him came together all the hie Priestes, and the Elders, and the Scribes.
54 Pedro lo seguía a la distancia, y entró al patio de la casa del sumo sacerdote. Se sentó allí con los guardias y se calentaba cerca de la fogata.
And Peter folowed him afarre off, euen into the hall of the hie Priest, and sate with the seruants, and warmed himselfe at the fire.
55 Dento de la casa, los jefes de los sacerdotes y todo el concilio de gobierno trataba de encontrar alguna evidencia para mandar a matar a Jesús, pero no podían encontrar nada.
And the hie Priests, and all the Councill sought for witnesse against Iesus, to put him to death, but found none.
56 Había muchos dando falso testimonio contra él, pero sus afirmaciones no concordaban.
For many bare false witnesse against him, but their witnesse agreed not together.
57 Algunos de ellos se levantaron a decir cosas falsas sobre Jesús.
Then there arose certaine, and bare false witnesse against him, saying,
58 “Lo oímos decir: ‘Destruiré este Templo que han construido manos humanas, y en tres días lo volveré a construir sin usar las manos’”.
We hearde him say, I will destroy this Temple made with hands, and within three daies I will builde another, made without hands.
59 Pero aun así sus testimonios no concordaban.
But their witnesse yet agreed not together.
60 Entonces el sumo sacerdote se puso en pie frente al concilio, y le preguntó a Jesús: “¿No tienes nada que decir en respuesta a las acusaciones que se han hecho en tu contra?”
Then the hie Priest stoode vp amongst them, and asked Iesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is the matter that these beare witnesse against thee?
61 Pero Jesús permanecía en silencio y no respondía. Así que el sumo sacerdote le preguntó de nuevo: “¿eres el Mesías, el Hijo del Dios bendito?”
But hee helde his peace, and answered nothing. Againe the hie Priest asked him, and sayde vnto him, Art thou that Christ the Sonne of the Blessed?
62 “Lo soy”, respondió Jesús, “y ustedes verán al Hijo del hombre sentado a la diestra del Todopoderoso, y viniendo en las nubes del cielo”.
And Iesus said, I am he, and yee shall see the Sonne of man sitte at the right hande of the power of God, and come in the clouds of heauen.
63 Entonces el sumo sacerdote rasgó sus vestidos y preguntó: “¿Por qué necesitamos más testigos?
Then the hie Priest rent his clothes, and sayd, What haue we any more neede of witnesses?
64 ¡Ustedes mismos han escuchado la blasfemia! ¿Qué tienen para decir?” Y todos lo hallaron culpable y lo condenaron a muerte.
Ye haue heard the blasphemie: what thinke yee? And they all condemned him to be worthie of death.
65 Entonces algunos de ellos comenzaron a escupirlo. Le vendaron los ojos, lo golpeaban en la cabeza y le decían: “¿Por qué no profetizas ‘profeta’?” Y los guardias se lo llevaron y lo golpearon.
And some began to spit at him, and to couer his face, and to beate him with fists, and to say vnto him, Prophesie. And the sergeants smote him with their roddes.
66 Mientras tanto Pedro estaba abajo en el patio. Y una de las criadas del sumo sacerdote pasaba por allí,
And as Peter was beneath in the hal, there came one of the maides of the hie Priest.
67 y al ver a Pedro que se calentaba junto a la fogata, lo miró fijamente y dijo: “¡Tú también estabas con Jesús de Nazaret!”
And when shee sawe Peter warming him selfe, shee looked on him, and sayde, Thou wast also with Iesus of Nazareth.
68 Pero él lo negó. “No sé de qué hablas, ni qué quieres decir”, respondió. Entonces salió al patio delantero, y en ese momento un gallo cantó.
But he denied it, saying, I knowe him not, neither wot I what thou saiest. Then he went out into the porche, and the cocke crewe.
69 Al verlo, la criada volvió a decir delante de los que estaban allí: “¡Este hombre es uno de ellos!”
Then a maid sawe him againe, and bega to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
70 Y una vez más Pedro lo negó. Al cabo de un rato, ellos volvieron a decirle a Pedro: “¡Definitivamente eres uno de ellos porque eres galileo también!”
But hee denied it againe: and anon after, they that stoode by, sayde againe to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art of Galile, and thy speach is like.
71 Pedro comenzó a decir maldiciones respecto de sí mismo y juró: “No conozco a este hombre del cual hablan ustedes”.
And he began to curse, and sweare, saying, I knowe not this man of whom ye speake.
72 E inmediatamente el gallo cantó la segunda vez. Entonces Pedro se acordó de lo que Jesús le había dicho: “Antes de que el gallo cante dos veces, me negarás tres veces”. Cuando se dio cuenta de lo que había hecho, rompió a llorar.
Then the seconde time the cocke crewe, and Peter remembred the woorde that Iesus had saide vnto him, Before the cocke crowe twise, thou shalt denie me thrise, and waying that with himselfe, he wept.
