Levítico 3
1 “Cuando quieras hacer una ofrenda de paz y ofrezcas un animal de una manada de ganado, ya sea macho o hembra, debes presentar uno sin ningún defecto ante el Señor.
[“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
2 Pon tu mano en la cabeza de la ofrenda y mátala a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión. Entonces los hijos de Aarón los sacerdotes rociarán la sangre por todos los lados del altar.
You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
3 De la ofrenda de paz debes traer una ofrenda de comida al Señor: toda la grasa que cubre las entrañas,
From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
4 ambos riñones con la grasa en ellos por los lomos, y la mejor parte del hígado, que debes quitar junto con los riñones.
the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
5 Los hijos de Aarón deben quemar esto en el altar sobre la ofrenda quemada que está sobre la madera ardiente, como una ofrenda de comida, agradable al Señor.
Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
6 “Cuando quieras hacer una ofrenda de paz y ofrezcas un animal de un rebaño de ovejas o cabras, ya sea macho o hembra, debes presentar uno sin ningún defecto ante el Señor.
If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
7 Si das un cordero como ofrenda, debes presentarlo ante el Señor.
If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].
8 Pon tu mano en la cabeza de la ofrenda y mátala delante del Tabernáculo de Reunión. Entonces los hijos de Aarón los sacerdotes rociarán la sangre a todos los lados del altar.
Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
9 De la ofrenda de paz debes traer una ofrenda de comida al Señor hecha de su grasa: la cola entera removida de la base de la rabadilla, toda la grasa que cubre el interior,
You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
10 ambos riñones con la grasa en ellos por los lomos, y la mejor parte del hígado, que debes quitar junto con los riñones.
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
11 Entonces el sacerdote debe quemar esto en el altar como una ofrenda de comida, una ofrenda de comida al Señor.
One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
12 “Si tu ofrenda es una cabra, debes presentarla ante el Señor.
‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
13 Pon tu mano en su cabeza y mátalo frente al Tabernáculo de Reunión. Entonces los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, rociarán la sangre a todos los lados del altar.
You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
14 De tu ofrenda debes presentar una ofrenda de comida al Señor hecha de toda la grasa que cubre las entrañas,
From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
15 ambos riñones con la grasa en ellos por los lomos, y la mejor parte del hígado, que debes quitar junto con los riñones.
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
16 Entonces el sacerdote debe quemar esto en el altar como una ofrenda de comida, una ofrenda al Señor usando fuego. Toda la grasa es para el Señor.
The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
17 No debes comer ninguna grasa o sangre. Esta regulación es para todos los tiempos y para todas las generaciones futuras dondequiera que vivan”.
‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
