Levítico 24
1 El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 “Ordena a los israelitas que te traigan aceite de oliva puro y prensado para las lámparas, para que siempre estén encendidas.
Command the sons of Israel, That they bring unto thee—pure oil olive, beaten, for giving light, —to cause the lamp to burn up continually.
3 Desde la tarde hasta la mañana Aarón debe cuidar las lámparas continuamente ante el Señor, fuera del velo del Testimonio en el Tabernáculo de Reunión. Esta regulación es para todos los tiempos y para todas las generaciones futuras.
Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron order it, from evening until morning, before Yahweh continually, —a statute age-abiding, to your generations.
4 Debe cuidar constantemente las lámparas puestas en el candelabro de oro puro ante el Señor.
Upon the pure lampstand, shall he order the lamps, —before Yahweh, continually.
5 “Usando la mejor harina hornea doce panes, con dos décimas de un efa de harina por cada pan.
And thou shalt take fine meal, and bake it, in twelve cakes, —of two-tenths, shall each cake be.
6 Colócalos en dos pilas, seis en cada pila, sobre la mesa de oro puro que está delante del Señor.
And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, —upon the pure table, before Yahweh.
7 Poner incienso puro al lado de cada pila para que vaya con el pan y sirva de recordatorio, una ofrenda al Señor.
And thou shalt put upon each row pure frankincense, —so shall it belong unto the bread as a memorial, an altar-flame unto Yahweh.
8 Cada sábado se pondrá el pan delante del Señor, dado por los israelitas como una señal continua del acuerdo eterno.
Sabbath day by sabbath day, shall he order it before Yahweh continually, —from the sons of Israel as an age-abiding covenant:
9 Es para Aarón y sus descendientes. Deben comerlo en un lugar santo, pues deben tratarlo como una parte santísima de las ofrendas de alimentos dadas al Señor. Es su parte de las ofrendas de comida para siempre”.
so shall it be for Aaron and for his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, —for most holy, shall it be unto him from among the altar-flames of Yahweh, a statute age-abiding.
10 Un día un hombre que tenía una madre israelita y un padre egipcio entró en el campamento israelita y tuvo una pelea con un israelita.
And forth went the son of a woman of Israel—he being the son of a man of Egypt—in the midst of the sons of Israel;
11 El hijo de la mujer israelita maldijo el nombre del Señor. Así que lo llevaron ante Moisés. (Su madre se llamaba Selomit, hija de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan).
and the son of the woman of Israel, and a man of Israel, reviled one another in the camp. And the son of the Israelitish woman uttered contemptuously the Name, and reviled. So they brought him in unto Moses, —now, the name of his mother, was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;
12 Lo detuvieron hasta que quedó claro lo que el Señor quería que hicieran al respecto.
and they put him in ward, —that a clear answer might be given to them at the mouth of Yahweh.
13 El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
14 “Lleva al hombre que me maldijo fuera del campamento. Que todos los que le oyeron maldecir pongan sus manos sobre su cabeza; y que todos le apedreen hasta la muerte.
Bring forth him that reviled unto the outside of the camp, then shall all that heard [him] lean their hands upon his head, —and all the assembly shall stone him.
15 Diles a los israelitas que cualquiera que maldiga a su Dios será castigado por su pecado.
And, unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak saying, —What man soever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
16 Cualquiera que maldiga el nombre del Señor debe ser ejecutado. Todos ustedeslo apedrearán hasta la muerte, tanto si es un extranjero que vive con ustedes como si es un israelita. Si maldicen mi nombre, deben ser ejecutados.
And, he that contemptuously uttereth the name of Yahweh, shall be, surely put to death, all the assembly shall, surely stone, him, —as the sojourner so the home-born, when he contemptuously uttereth the Name, he shall be put to death.
17 “Cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
And, when, any man, by smiting taketh the life of any human being, he shall be surely put to death,
18 Cualquiera que mate a un animal tiene que reemplazarlo. Una vida por otra.
And he that by smiting taketh away the life of a beast, shall make it good, —life for life.
19 Si alguien hiere a otra persona, lo que haya hecho debe serle hecho:
And, when, any man, inflicteth a blemish upon his neighbour, as he hath done, so, shall it be done to him:
20 un hueso roto por un hueso roto, ojo por ojo, diente por diente. Sea cual sea la forma en que hayan herido a la víctima, se les debe hacer lo mismo.
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as he inflicteth a blemish upon a human being, so, shall one be inflicted upon him.
21 Cualquiera que mate un animal tiene que reemplazarlo, pero cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
And he that killeth a beast, shall make it good, -and he that killeth a human being, shall be put to death.
22 A los extranjeros que viven con ustedes se les aplican las mismas leyes que a los israelitas, porque yo soy el Señor su Dios”.
One rule, shall ye have, as the sojourner, so the home-born, shall be, —For, I—Yahweh, am your God.
23 Moisés dijo esto a los israelitas, y ellos llevaron al hombre que maldijo al Señor fuera del campamento y lo apedrearon hasta la muerte. Los israelitas hicieron lo que el Señor le ordenó a Moisés que hiciera.
So then Moses spake unto the sons of Israel, and they took forth the reviler, unto the outside of the camp, and stoned him with stones. Thus, the sons of Israel did, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
