Judas 1
1 Esta carta viene de parte de Judas, siervo de Jesucristo, y hermano de Santiago. Escribo a los que son llamados y amados por Dios, el Padre, y que son guardados a salvo por Jesucristo:
Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James: To those who are in God the Father, enfolded in His love, and kept for Jesus Christ, and called.
2 ¡Que la misericordia, la paz y el amor de Dios aumente en su experiencia!
May mercy, peace and love be abundantly granted to you.
3 Amigos, desde antes ya anhelaba la oportunidad de escribirles acerca de la salvación de la cual somos partícipes. Pero ahora necesito escribirles urgentemente y animarlos a defender enérgicamente la verdad acerca de Dios, que fue dada una vez y para siempre al pueblo santo de Dios.
Dear friends, since I am eager to begin a letter to you on the subject of our common salvation, I find myself constrained to write and cheer you on to the vigorous defense of the faith delivered once for all to God's people.
4 Pues algunos se han infiltrado entre ustedes. Ya antes se escribió acerca de ellos y fueron condenados, porque son personas malvadas que pervierten la gracia de Dios, convirtiéndola en una licencia para la inmoralidad, mientras que también niegan a nuestro Señor y maestro Jesucristo.
For certain persons have crept in unnoticed--men spoken of in ancient writings as pre-destined to this condemnation--ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into an excuse for immorality, and disown Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord.
5 Aunque esto ya lo saben, quiero recordarles que aunque el Señor salvó a su pueblo de la tierra de Egipto, después destruyó a los que eran incrédulos.
I desire to remind you--although the whole matter is already familiar to you--that the Lord saved a people out of the land of Egypt, but afterwards destroyed those who had no faith.
6 Incluso a los ángeles que estaban inconformes con las posiciones que Dios les había dado y que abandonaron sus debidos sitios, él los ha puesto eternamente en cadenas de oscuridad hasta el gran Día del Juicio. (aïdios g126)
And angels--those who did not keep the position originally assigned to them, but deserted their own proper abode--He reserves in everlasting bonds, in darkness, in preparation for the judgement of the great day. (aïdios g126)
7 Del mismo modo, Sodoma y Gomorra, y las naciones cercanas que practicaban la inmoralidad y perversión sexual, son presentadas como ejemplo de aquellos que experimentan el castigo del fuego eterno. (aiōnios g166)
So also Sodom and Gomorrah--and the neighboring towns in the same manner--having been guilty of gross fornication and having gone astray in pursuit of unnatural vice, are now before us as a specimen of the fire of the Ages in the punishment which they are undergoing. (aiōnios g166)
8 Del mismo modo, estos soñadores contaminan sus cuerpos, desprecian la autoridad, e insultan a los seres celestiales.
Yet in just the same way these dreamers also pollute the body, while they set authority at naught and speak evil of dignities.
9 Incluso el arcángel Miguel, cuando discutía con el diablo sobre el cuerpo de Moisés, no se animó a condenarlo con insultos difamatorios, sino que dijo: “Que el Señor te reprenda”.
But Michael the Archangel, when contending with the Devil and arguing with him about the body of Moses, did not dare to pronounce judgement on him in abusive terms, but simply said, "The Lord rebuke you."
10 Pero estas personas ridiculizan lo que no comprenden; y lo que entienden, eso siguen, por instinto, como animales que no tienen razón. Esto es lo que los destruye.
Yet these men are abusive in matters of which they know nothing, and in things which, like the brutes, they understand instinctively--in all these they corrupt themselves.
11 ¡Cuán grande problema tienen! Pues han seguido el camino de Caín. Así como Balaam y su engaño, ellos se han dejado llevar por el afán de lucro. Como la rebelión de Coré, se han destruido a sí mismos.
Alas for them; for they have followed in the steps of Cain; for the sake of gain they have rushed on headlong in the evil ways of Balaam; and have perished in rebellion like that of Korah!
12 Estas personas participan con ustedes de las comidas de compañerismo y las echan a perder, porque son pastores egoístas que no tienen el mínimo sentido de vergüenza, pues solo se preocupan de ellos mismos. Son como nubes llevadas por el viento y que no producen lluvia. Son árboles sin hojas ni frutos, muertos doce veces y extraídos desde las raíces.
These men--sunken rocks! --are those who share the pleasure of your love-feasts, unrestrained by fear while caring only for themselves; clouds without water, driven away by the winds; trees that cast their fruit, barren, doubly dead, uprooted;
13 Son olas violentas del océano, que arrojan la espuma de su propia desgracia. Son estrellas falsas, condenadas para siempre a la más negra oscuridad. (aiōn g165)
wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved dense darkness of age-long duration. (aiōn g165)
14 Enoc, quien vivió siete generaciones después de Adán, profetizó sobre estas personas: “¡Miren! El Señor viene con miles y miles de sus santos
It was also about these that Enoch, who belonged to the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, "The Lord has come, attended by myriads of His people, to execute judgement upon all,
15 para juzgar a todos, para revelar las cosas malas que han hecho, y todas las cosas terribles que los pecadores hostiles han dicho contra él”.
and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly deeds which in their ungodliness they have committed, and of all the hard words which they, ungodly sinners as they are, have spoken against Him."
16 Tales personas son gruñonas, que siempre están quejándose. Siguen sus propios deseos malos, y hablan con jactancia de sí mismos, y halagan a otros para lograr sus propios fines.
These men are murmurers, ever bemoaning their lot. Their lives are guided by their evil passions, and their mouths are full of big, boastful words, while they treat individual men with admiring reverence for the sake of the advantage they can gain.
17 Pero ustedes, mis queridos amigos, recuerden, por favor, lo que les dijeron los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
But as for you, my dearly-loved friends, remember the words that before now were spoken by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ--
18 Porque ellos les explicaron que en los últimos tiempos vendrían mofadores, que seguirían sus propios deseos malvados.
how they declared to you, "In the last times there shall be scoffers, obeying only their own ungodly passions."
19 Ellos causan divisiones, son personas mundanas que no tienen el Espíritu.
These are those who cause divisions. They are men of the world, wholly unspiritual.
20 Pero ustedes, amigos míos, deben edificarse a sí mismos por la fe en Dios. Oren en el Espíritu Santo,
But you, my dearly-loved friends, building yourselves up on the basis of your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 manténganse a salvo en el amor de Dios, y esperen la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que otorga vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
must keep yourselves safe in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ which will result in the Life of the Ages. (aiōnios g166)
22 Muestren bondad con los que dudan.
Some, when they argue with you, you must endeavor to convince;
23 Salven a todos los que puedan, arrebatándolos del fuego. Muestren misericordia, pero con mucho cuidado, aborreciendo incluso las “vestiduras” contaminadas por la naturaleza pecaminosa de los humanos.
others you must try to save, as brands plucked from the flames; and on others look with pity mingled with fear, while you hate every trace of their sin.
24 Ahora, a Aquél que puede guardarlos sin caer, y que puede llevarlos a su gloriosa presencia sin falta, y con gran gozo,
But to Him who is able to keep you safe from stumbling, and cause you to stand in the presence of His glory free from blemish and full of exultant joy--
25 al único Dios, nuestro Salvador, por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor, sea la gloria, la majestad, el poder y la autoridad, desde siempre, ahora, y para siempre. Amén. (aiōn g165)
to the only God our Saviour--through Jesus Christ our Lord, be ascribed glory, majesty, might, and authority, as it was before all time, is now, and shall be to all the Ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
