Josué 5
1 Cuando todos los reyes amorreos al Oeste del Jordán y todos los reyes cananeos de la costa mediterránea oyeron cómo el Señor había secado las aguas del río Jordán para que los israelitas pudieran cruzarlo, su ánimo decayó y ya no tenían ningún espíritu de lucha para enfrentarse a los israelitas.
And it was when heard all [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan west-ward and all [the] kings of the Canaanite[s] who [were] at the sea [they heard] this: he had dried up Yahweh [the] waters of the Jordan from before [the] people of Israel until (passing over they *Q(K)*) and it melted heart their and not it was in them still spirit because of [the] people of Israel.
2 En ese momento, el Señor le dijo a Josué: “Haz cuchillos de piedra y circuncida a la nueva generación de israelitas”.
At the time that he said Yahweh to Joshua make for yourself knives of flint and return circumcise [the] people of Israel a second [time].
3 Josué mandó a hacer cuchillos de piedra y todos los israelitas varones fueron circuncidados en el lugar que más adelante se conoció como “la colina de los prepucios”.
And he made for himself Joshua knives of flint and he circumcised [the] people of Israel to [the] hill of foreskins.
4 Y esta es la razón por la que Josué los hizo circuncidar a todos: todos los que salieron de Egipto, los hombres en edad de luchar, habían muerto en el viaje, en medio del desierto, después del Éxodo.
And this [is] the reason why he circumcised Joshua all the people which had come out from Egypt the males all - [the] men of war they had died in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt.
5 Todos habían sido circuncidados cuando salieron de Egipto, pero los nacidos en el viaje desde entonces no lo habían hecho.
For circumcised they had been all the people which came out and all the people born in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt not people had circumcised.
6 Durante cuarenta años los israelitas viajaron por el desierto hasta que todos los hombres en edad de luchar cuando salieron de Egipto ya habían muerto, porque no habían hecho lo que el Señor les había dicho que hicieran. Así que el Señor había prometido que no les dejaría ver la tierra que había prometido a sus antepasados que nos daría, una tierra que fluye leche y miel.
For - forty year[s] they had walked [the] people of Israel in the wilderness until was finished all the nation [the] men of war who came out from Egypt who not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh whom he had sworn Yahweh to them to not to let to see them the land which he had sworn Yahweh to fathers their to give to us a land flowing of milk and honey.
7 El Señor los reemplazó con sus hijos, y estos fueron los que Josué circuncidó. No estaban circuncidados porque no habían sido circuncidados en el camino.
And children their he raised up in place of them them he circumcised Joshua for uncircumcised they were for not people had circumcised them on the way.
8 Una vez que todos fueron circuncidados, se quedaron en el campo hasta que se recuperaron.
And it was just when they had finished all the nation to be circumcised and they remained in place their in the camp until lived they.
9 Entonces el Señor le dijo a Josué: “Hoy he quitado de todos ustedes la desgracia de Egipto”. Así que ese lugar se ha llamado Gilgal hasta hoy.
And he said Yahweh to Joshua this day I have rolled away [the] reproach of Egypt from on you and he called [the] name of the place that Gilgal until the day this.
10 Los israelitas acamparon en Gilgal y celebraron allí la Pascua en la tarde del día 14 del primer mes.
And they encamped [the] people of Israel at Gilgal and they observed the passover on [the] four-teen day of the month in the evening on [the] plains of Jericho.
11 A partir del día siguiente, comenzaron a comer los productos de la tierra: pan sin levadura y grano asado.
And they ate some of [the] produce of the land from [the] next day of the passover unleavened bread and roasted [grain] on [the] substance of the day this.
12 El mismo día en que comenzaron a comer el producto de la tierra no hubo más maná. Desde ese momento, los israelitas no volvieron a comer maná, y en cambio comíanlo que la tierra de Canaán producía.
And it ceased the manna from [the] next day when ate they some of [the] produce of the land and not it belonged again to [the] people of Israel manna and they ate some of [the] produce of [the] land of Canaan in the year that.
13 Un día, cuando Josué estaba cerca de Jericó, levantó la vista y vio a un hombre parado frente a él con una espada desenvainada en su mano. Josué se acercó a él y le preguntó: “¿Estás a favor o en contra de nosotros?” “Ninguna de las dos cosas”, dijo el hombre. “Soy el comandante del ejército del Señor. ¡Ahora estoy aquí!”
And it was when was Joshua at Jericho and he lifted up eyes his and he saw and there! a man [was] standing to before him and sword his [was] drawn in hand his and he went Joshua to him and he said to him ¿ for us [are] you or? for foes our.
14 Josué cayó al suelo con el rostro en alto. Y entonces dijo: “¿Qué órdenes tiene mi señor para su siervo?”
And he said - In-deed I [am] [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh now I have come and he fell Joshua to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he said to him what? [is] lord my saying servant his.
15 El comandante del ejército del Señor le dijo a Josué: “Quítate las sandalias, porque el lugar donde estás es tierra santa”. Y Josué lo hizo.
And he said [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh to Joshua take off sandal your from on foot your for the place which you [are] standing on it [is] a holy place it and he did Joshua thus.
