Josué 3
1 A la mañana siguiente, Josué y los israelitas salieron de Sitín y llegaron a la orilla del Jordán. Allí pasaron la noche antes de cruzar.
And he rose early Joshua in the morning and they set out from Shittim and they came to the Jordan he and all [the] people Israel and they stayed there before they passed over.
2 Tres días después, los líderes del pueblo pasaron por el campamento
And it was from [the] end of three days and they passed the officers in [the] midst of the camp.
3 diciéndoles: “Cuando vean el Arca del Pacto del Señor su Dios siendo llevada por los sacerdotes, los levitas, deben salir del lugar donde estén y seguirla.
And they commanded the people saying when see you [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and the priests the Levites carrying it and you you will set out from place your and you will go behind it.
4 Así sabrán qué camino tomar, ya que no han estado aquí antes. Mantengan una distancia de 3.000 pies entre ustedes y el Arca. ¡No se acerquen!”
Nevertheless - a distance it will be between you (and between it *Q(k)*) about two thousand cubit[s] by measurement may not you draw near to it so that that you may know the way which you will go in it for not you have passed in the way from yesterday three days ago.
5 Entonces Josué le dijo al pueblo: “Asegúrense de estar puros, porque mañana el Señor hará cosas asombrosas entre ustedes”.
And he said Joshua to the people consecrate yourselves for tomorrow he will do Yahweh in midst your wonders.
6 Josuéles habló a los sacerdotes: “Tomen el Arca del Pacto y vayan delante del pueblo”. Entonces ellos levantaron el Arca del Pacto y marcharon delante del pueblo.
And he said Joshua to the priests saying lift up [the] ark of the covenant and pass over before the people and they lifted up [the] ark of the covenant and they went before the people.
7 El Señor le dijo a Josué: “Lo que hago hoy te confirmará como gran líder a la vista de todos los israelitas, para que se den cuenta de que así como estuve con Moisés, estaré contigo.
And he said Yahweh to Joshua the day this I will begin to make great you in [the] eyes of all Israel that they will know! that just as I was with Moses I will be with you.
8 Dile a los sacerdotes que llevan el Arca del Pacto: ‘Cuando lleguen a cruce del Jordán, den unos pasos hacia el agua y luego deténganse allí’”.
And you you will command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant saying when come you to [the] edge of [the] waters of the Jordan in the Jordan you will stand still.
9 Entonces Josué les dijo a los israelitas: “Vengan aquí y escuchen lo que el Señor su Dios les quiere decir.
And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel draw near hither and hear [the] words of Yahweh God your.
10 Así sabrán que el Dios vivo está aquí con ustedes”, les dijo. “Tengan la seguridad de que Él expulsará delante de ustedes a los cananeos, a los hititas, a los heveos, a los ferezeos, a los guirgaseos, a los amorreos y a los jebuseos.
And he said Joshua by this you will know! that God living [is] in midst your and certainly he will dispossess from before you the Canaanite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
11 Sólo recuerden: el Arca del Pacto del Señor de toda la tierra cruzará el Jordán antes que ustedes.
Here! [the] ark of the covenant [the] lord of all the earth [is] about to pass on before you in the Jordan.
12 Elijan doce hombres de las tribus de Israel, uno por tribu.
And therefore take for yourselves two [plus] ten man from [the] tribes of Israel a man one a man one to the tribe.
13 En el momento en que los sacerdotes que llevan el Arca pisen el agua, el río dejará de fluir y el agua se amontonará”.
And it will be when rest [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of Yahweh [the] lord of all the earth in [the] waters of the Jordan [the] waters of the Jordan they will be cut off! the waters that are coming down from to above so they may stand a heap one.
14 Así que el pueblo recogió el campamento y se dispuso a cruzar el Jordán, y los sacerdotes que llevaban el Arca iban adelante.
And it was when set out the people from tents their to pass over the Jordan and the priests [the] bearers of the ark the covenant before the people.
15 Como era la temporada de la cosecha, el Jordán estaba lleno de agua, y sus orillas se desbordaban. Pero tan pronto como los sacerdotes que llevaban el Arca entraron en el agua, el río dejó de fluir.
And just as came [the] bearers of the ark to the Jordan and [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of the ark they were dipped in [the] edge of the waters and the Jordan it is full over all banks its all [the] days of harvest.
16 El agua se amontonó mucho más arriba, en la ciudad de Adán, cerca de Zaretán, mientras que río abajo ya no fluía más agua hacia el Mar Muerto. De este modo el pueblo pudo cruzar el río, frente a Jericó.
And they stood the waters which came down from to above they rose a heap one far away very (from Adam *Q(K)*) the city which [is] from [the] side of Zarethan and which went down to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt they were complete they were cut off and the people they passed over before Jericho.
17 Los sacerdotes que llevaban el Arca se mantuvieron firmes y en pie en el lecho seco del río Jordán mientras todo el pueblo pasaba. Y se quedaron allí hasta que todos hubieron cruzado y se encontraban en tierra seca.
And they stood the priests [the] bearers of the ark [the] covenant of Yahweh on the dry ground in [the] middle of the Jordan firmly and all Israel [were] passing over on the dry ground until that they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan.
