Josué 15
1 Esta fue la tierra asignada a la tribu de Judá, por familias: se extendía hacia el sur hasta la frontera de Edom, hasta el desierto de Zin en el extremo sur.
And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is unto the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;
2 Su frontera comenzaba en el extremo del Mar Salado – la bahía que mira hacia el sur —
and to them the south border is at the extremity of the salt sea, from the bay which is looking southward;
3 Hai luego iba hacia el sur del Paso de los escorpiones, a través del desierto de Zin, para luego dirigirse al sur de Cades-barnea hasta Hezrón. Desde allí subía hasta Adar y luego giraba hacia Carca,
and it hath gone out unto the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over [to] Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned round to Karkaa,
4 pasando por Azmon y saliendo al Wadi de Egipto, terminando en el mar. Esta era su frontera sur.
and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.
5 La frontera oriental de Judá era el Mar Salado, hasta donde termina el río Jordán. El límite septentrional iba desde la bahía septentrional del mar donde termina el Jordán,
And the east border [is] the salt sea, unto the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter [is] from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;
6 hasta el límite de Bet-Joglá, y luego al norte de Bet-arabá hasta la Piedra de Bohán (hijo de Rubén).
and the border hath gone up [to] Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border hath gone up [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:
7 Desde allí iba hasta el límite de Debir por el valle de Acor, y giraba al norte hacia Gilgal, frente a las alturas de Adumín, al sur del valle. Luego el límite continuaba hasta las aguas de En-semes y hasta En-rogel.
and the border hath gone up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and northward looking unto Gilgal, which [is] over-against the ascent of Adummim, which [is] on the south of the brook, and the border hath passed over unto the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been unto En-Rogel;
8 El límite pasaba entonces por el valle de Ben-Hinón, a lo largo de la ladera sur de los jebuseos, (es decir, Jerusalén), y luego subía a la cima de la montaña que domina el valle de Hinón hasta el extremo norte del valle de Refayín.
and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;
9 Desde allí, el límite iba desde la cima de la montaña hasta el manantial de agua de Neftoa y hasta las ciudades del monte Efrón. Luego se doblaba hacia Balá (Quiriath-Yearín).
and the border hath been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and hath gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border hath been marked out [to] Baalah, (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);
10 Luego el límite daba la vuelta al oeste de Baalá hasta el monte Seir y pasaba por la ladera norte del monte Yearín hasta la ciudad de Kesalón, bajaba a Bet Semes y seguía hasta Timná.
and the border hath gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;
11 El límite seguía hasta la ladera norte de Ecrón y se doblaba hacia Siquerón, pasando por el monte Balá, hasta Jabneel y terminaba en el mar.
and the border hath gone out unto the side of Ekron northward, and the border hath been marked out [to] Shicron, and hath passed over to mount Baalah, and gone out [to] Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.
12 El límite occidental era la costa del Gran Mar. Estos eran los límites alrededor de la tribu de Judá, por familias.
And the west border [is] to the great sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.
13 El Señor le había ordenado a Josué que asignara algunas tierras en el territorio de Judá a Caleb, hijo de Jefone, y así se le dio la ciudad de Quiriat-arba, o Hebrón. (Arba era el padre de Anac).
And to Caleb son of Jephunneh hath he given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of Jehovah to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba, father of Anak — it [is] Hebron.
14 Caleb expulsó a tres grupos familiares: Sesay, Ajimán y Talmai, descendientes de Anac.
And Caleb is dispossessing thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,
15 Desde allí fue a atacar a los habitantes de Debir (antes conocida como Quiriat-sefer).
and he goeth up thence unto the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir formerly is Kirjath-Sepher.
16 Caleb anunció: “Al que ataque a Quiriat-sefer y lo capture, le daré a mi hija Acsa para que se case con él”.
And Caleb saith, 'He who smiteth Kirjath-Sephar, and hath captured it — I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.'
17 Otniel, hijo de Quenaz, hermano de Caleb, capturó la ciudad, por lo que Caleb le dio a su hija Acsa para que se casara.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, doth capture it, and he giveth to him Achsah his daughter for a wife.
18 Cuando ella se acercó, él laconvenció para que le pidiera un campo a su padre. Y cuando ella se bajó del asno, Caleb le preguntó: “¿Qué quieres?”.
And it cometh to pass, in her coming in, that she persuadeth him to ask from her father a field, and she lighteth from off the ass, and Caleb saith to her, 'What — to thee?'
19 Ella respondió: “Por favor, dame una bendición. Ya que me has dado una tierra que es como el desierto, por favor, te pido que también me des manantiales de agua”. Entonces él le dio tanto el manantial superior como el inferior.
And she saith, 'Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south thou hast given me, then thou hast given to me springs of waters;' and he giveth to her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 Esta fue la tierra asignada a la tribu de Judá, por familias.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.
21 Las ciudades para la tribu de Judá en el extremo sur, en la frontera con Edom: Cabzeel, Edar, Jagur,
And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are unto the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 Quiná, Dimoná, Adadá,
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Cedes, Jazor, Itnán,
and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Zif, Telén, Bealot,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Jazor-jadatá, Queriot-Jezrón (o Jazor),
and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hezron, (it [is] Hazor, )
26 Amán, Semá, Moladá,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Jazar-Gadá, Hesmón, Bet-pelet,
and Hazar-Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Palet,
28 Jazar-súal, Beerseba, Biziotiá,
and Hazar-Shual, and Beer-Sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29 Balá, Iyín, Esen,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltolad, Quesil, Jormá,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Siclag, Madmana, Sansaná,
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaot, Sijín, Ayín, y Rimón, es decir, veintinueve ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities [are] twenty and nine, and their villages.
33 Las ciudades de las estribaciones occidentales: Estaol, Zora, Asena,
In the low country: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanoa, Enganín, Tapúaj, Enam,
and Zanoah, and En-Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Jarmut, Adulán, Soco, Azeca,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Sajarayin, Aditatin, Guederá, y Guederotayin, es decir, diez ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities and their villages.
37 También: Zenán, Jadasá, Migdal-gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,
38 Dileán, Mizpa, Joctel,
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 Laquis, Bocat, Eglón,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Cabón, Lajmás, Quitlís,
and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Guederot, Bet-dagón, Noamá, y Maceda, es deicr, diez ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities and their villages.
42 Además: Libná, Éter, Asán,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Jifta, Asena, Nezib,
and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Queilá, Aczib y Maresá. Es decir, nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages.
45 Ecrón, con sus ciudades y aldeas,
Ekron and its towns and its villages,
46 desde Ecrón hasta el mar las ciudades cercanas a Asdod y sus aldeas,
from Ekron and westward, all that [are] by the side of Ashdod, and their villages.
47 Asdod y sus ciudades con sus aldeas, y Gaza con sus ciudades y aldeas, hasta el Wadi de Egipto, y a lo largo de la costa del mar.
Ashdod, its towns and its villages, Gaza, its towns and its villages, unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and [its] border.
48 En la región de las colinas: Samir, Jatir, Soco,
And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 Daná, Quiriat Saná (o Debir),
and Dannah, and Kirjath-Sannah (it [is] Debir)
50 Anab, Estemoa, Anín,
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 Gosén, Holón y Guiló. Es decir, once ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages.
52 También: Arab, Dumá, Esán,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Yanún, Bet-tapúaj, Afecá,
and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humtá, Quiriat-arba (o Hebrón), y Sior. Es decir, nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba (it [is] Hebron), and Zior; nine cities and their villages.
55 Además: Maón, Carmelo, Zif, Yutá,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 Jezrel, Jocdeán, Zanoa,
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Caín, Guibeá y Timná. Es deicr, diez ciudades con sus aldeas.
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages.
58 También: Jaljul, Betsur, Guedor,
Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,
59 Marat, Beth Anot y Eltecón. Es decir, seis ciudades con sus aldeas.
and Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages.
60 Además: Quiriat Baal (o Quiriat-Yearín) y Rabá. Es decir, dos ciudades con sus aldeas.
Kirjath-Baal (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities and their villages.
61 En el desierto: Bet-arabá, Midín, Secacá,
In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibsán, la Ciudad de la Sal, y Engadi. Es decir, seis ciudades con sus aldea.
and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.
63 Sin embargo, la tribu de Judá no pudo expulsar a los jebuseos, los habitantes de Jerusalén, por lo que los jebuseos viven entre la tribu de Judá en Jerusalén hasta el día de hoy.
As to the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwelleth with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem unto this day.
