Juan 10
1 “Les digo la verdad, cualquiera que no entra por la puerta del redil, sino que trepa de alguna otra manera, es un ladrón.
Verely, verely I say vnto you, Hee that entreth not in by the doore into the sheepefolde, but climeth vp another way, he is a theefe and a robber.
2 El que entra por la puerta es el pastor de las ovejas.
But he that goeth in by the doore, is the shepheard of the sheepe.
3 El portero le abre la puerta y las ovejas responden a su voz. Él llama a sus ovejas por nombre, y las saca del redil.
To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out.
4 Después, camina delante de ellas y las ovejas lo siguen porque reconocen su voz.
And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
5 Ellas no siguen a ningún extraño. De hecho, ellas huyen de cualquier extraño porque no reconocen su voz”.
And they will not follow a stranger, but they flee from him: for they know not the voyce of strangers.
6 Cuando Jesús hizo esta ilustración, los que le escuchaban no entendieron lo que él quiso decir.
This parable spake Iesus vnto them: but they vnderstoode not what things they were which he spake vnto them.
7 Entonces Jesús les explicó nuevamente. “Les digo la verdad: Yo soy la puerta del redil.
Then sayd Iesus vnto them againe, Verely, verely I say vnto you, I am that doore of the sheepe.
8 Todos los que vinieron antes de mi eran ladrones, pero las ovejas no los escucharon.
All, that euer came before me, are theeues and robbers: but the sheepe did not heare them.
9 Yo soy la puerta. Todo el que entra a través de mi, será sanado. Podrá ir y venir, y encontrará la comida que necesite.
I am that doore: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saued, and shall go in, and go out, and finde pasture.
10 El ladrón solo viene a robar, matar y destruir. Yo he venido para traerles vida, una vida abundante.
The theefe commeth not, but for to steale, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might haue life, and haue it in abundance.
11 Yo soy el buen pastor. El buen pastor entrega su vida por sus ovejas.
I am that good shepheard: that good shepheard giueth his life for his sheepe.
12 El hombre a quien se le paga para cuidar de las ovejas no es el pastor, y huye apenas ve que se acerca el lobo. Él abandona a las ovejas porque no son suyas, y entonces el lobo ataca y dispersa a las ovejas
But an hireling, and hee which is not the shepheard, neither the sheepe are his owne, seeth the wolfe comming, and hee leaueth the sheepe, and fleeth, and the wolfe catcheth them, and scattreth the sheepe.
13 pues este hombre solo trabaja para recibir su pago y no le importan las ovejas.
So the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheepe.
14 Yo soy el buen pastor. Yo sé cuáles son mías, y ellas me conocen
I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine.
15 así como el Padre me conoce y yo lo conozco a él. Yo entrego mi vida por las ovejas.
As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay downe my life for my sheepe.
16 Tengo otras ovejas que no están en este redil. Debo traerlas también. Ellas escucharán mi voz, y entonces habrá un solo rebaño con un solo pastor.
Other sheepe I haue also, which are not of this folde: them also must I bring, and they shall heare my voyce: and there shalbe one sheepefolde, and one shepheard.
17 “Es por esto que el Padre me ama, porque yo doy mi vida para tomarla de nuevo.
Therefore doeth my Father loue me, because I lay downe my life, that I might take it againe.
18 Ninguno puede quitarme la vida; Yo elijo entregarla. Tengo el derecho de entregar mi vida y tengo el derecho de volverla a tomar. Este es el mandato que me dio mi Padre”.
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it downe of my selfe: I haue power to lay it downe, and haue power to take it againe: this commandement haue I receiued of my Father.
19 Otra vez los judíos estaban dando opiniones sobre estas palabras que dijo Jesús.
Then there was a dissension againe among the Iewes for these sayings,
20 Muchos de ellos decían: “¡Está poseído por un demonio! ¡Está loco! ¿Por qué lo escuchan?”
And many of them sayd, He hath a deuill, and is mad: why heare ye him?
21 Otros decían: “Estas no son las palabras de alguien que está endemoniado. Además, un demonio no puede devolver la vista a un ciego”.
Other sayd, These are not the wordes of him that hath a deuill: can the deuill open the eyes of the blinde?
22 Era invierno y era la fecha de la Fiesta de la Dedicación en Jerusalén.
And it was at Hierusalem the feast of the Dedication, and it was winter.
23 Jesús estaba caminando en el Templo por el pórtico de Salomón. Los judíos lo rodearon y le preguntaron:
And Iesus walked in the Temple, in Salomons porche.
24 “¿Por cuánto tiempo nos tendrás en suspenso? ¡Si eres el Mesías, entonces dínoslo claramente!”
Then came the Iewes round about him, and sayd vnto him, Howe long doest thou make vs dout? If thou be that Christ, tell vs plainely.
25 Jesús respondió: “Ya les dije, pero ustedes se negaron a creerlo. Los milagros que yo hago en nombre de mi Padre son prueba de quien yo soy.
Iesus answered them, I tolde you, and ye beleeue not: the workes that I doe in my Fathers Name, they beare witnes of me.
26 Ustedes no creen en mí porque no son mis ovejas.
But ye beleeue not: for ye are not of my sheepe, as I sayd vnto you.
27 Mis ovejas reconocen mi voz; yo las conozco, y ellas me siguen.
My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me,
29 Mi Padre, quien me las entregó, es más grande que cualquier otra persona; y a Él nadie se las puede arrebatar.
My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand.
30 Yo y el Padre somos uno”.
I and my Father are one.
31 Una vez más los judíos tomaron piedras para lanzárselas.
Then ye Iewes againe tooke vp stones, to stone him.
32 Jesús les dijo: “Ustedes han visto muchas cosas buenas que he hecho, gracias al Padre. ¿Por cuál de todas ellas me van a apedrear?”
Iesus answered them, Many good workes haue I shewed you from my Father: for which of these workes doe ye stone me?
33 Loa judíos respondieron: “No vamos a apedrearte por hacer cosas buenas, sino por blasfemia, porque tú eres solamente un hombre y estás afirmando que eres Dios”.
The Iewes answered him, saying, For the good worke we stone thee not, but for blasphemie, and that thou being a man, makest thy selfe God.
34 Jesús les respondió: “¿Acaso no está escrito en la ley de ustedes: ‘Yo dije, ustedes son dioses’?
Iesus answered them, Is it not written in your Lawe, I sayd, Ye are gods?
35 Él llamó ‘dioses’ a estas personas, a aquellos a quienes entregó la palabra de Dios—y la Escritura no se puede modificar.
If hee called them gods, vnto whome the worde of God was giuen, and the Scripture cannot be broken,
36 Entonces, ¿por qué están diciendo ustedes que aquél a quien Dios apartó y envió al mundo está blasfemando, porque dije ‘yo soy el Hijo de Dios’?
Say ye of him, whome the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the worlde, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Sonne of God?
37 Si no estoy haciendo lo que hace mi Padre, entonces no me crean.
If I doe not the workes of my Father, beleeue me not.
38 Pero si lo hago, deberían creerme por la evidencia de lo que he hecho. Así podrán ustedes entender que el Padre está en mí, y que yo estoy en el Padre”.
But if I doe, then though ye beleeue not mee, yet beleeue the workes, that ye may knowe and beleeue, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
39 Nuevamente ellos trataron de arrestarlo, pero él escapó de ellos.
Againe they went about to take him: but he escaped out of their handes,
40 Se fue al otro lado del río Jordán, al lugar donde Juan había comenzado a bautizar, y se quedó allí.
And went againe beyonde Iordan, into the place where Iohn first baptized, and there abode.
41 Muchas personas llegaron donde él estaba, y decían: “Juan no hizo milagros, pero todo lo que él dijo acerca de este hombre se ha hecho realidad”.
And many resorted vnto him, and saide, Iohn did no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man, were true.
42 Muchos de los que estaban allí pusieron su confianza en Jesús.
And many beleeued in him there.
