Job 32
1 Los tres amigos de Job dejaron de responderle porque él seguía protestando su inocencia.
And these three men cease from answering Job, for he [is] righteous in his own eyes,
2 Entonces Eliú, hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, de la familia de Ram, se enojó. Se enojó con Job por afirmar que él tenía la razón y no Dios.
and the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite burns, of the family of Ram; his anger has burned against Job, because of his justifying himself more than God;
3 Eliú también se enfadó con los tres amigos de Job porque hacían ver que Dios estaba equivocado, ya que no habían sido capaces de responder a Job.
and his anger has burned against his three friends, because that they have not found an answer, and condemn Job.
4 Elihú había esperado a que los otros tres hablaran con Job, ya que eran mayores que él.
And Elihu has waited earnestly beside Job with words, for they are older than he in days.
5 Pero al ver que no podían responder a Job, se enojó mucho.
And Elihu sees that there is no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger burns.
6 Eliú, hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, dijo: “Yo soy joven y ustedes son viejos, por eso me resistí a decirles lo que sé.
And Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite answers and says: “I [am] young in days, and you [are] aged; Therefore I have feared, And am afraid of showing you my opinion.
7 Me dije a mí mismo: ‘Los que son mayores deben hablar, los que son mayores deben enseñar la sabiduría’.
I said, Days speak, And a multitude of years teach wisdom.
8 Sin embargo, hay un espíritu en los seres humanos, el aliento del Todopoderoso, que les da entendimiento.
Surely a spirit is in man, And the breath of the Mighty One Causes them to understand.
9 No son los viejos los que son sabios, ni los ancianos los que saben lo que es correcto.
The multitude are not wise, Nor do the aged understand judgment.
10 Por eso te digo que me escuches ahora: déjame decirte lo que sé.
Therefore I have said: Listen to me, I show my opinion—even I.
11 Pues bien, esperé a oír lo que tenías que decir, escuchando tus ideas mientras buscabas las palabras adecuadas para hablar.
Behold, I have waited for your words, I give ear to your reasons, Until you search out sayings.
12 Les he prestado mucha atención a todos, y ninguno ha demostrado que Job estuviera equivocado ni ha respondido a sus argumentos.
And to you I attend, And behold, there is no reasoner for Job, [Or] answerer of his sayings among you.
13 No digan dentro de ustedes mismo: ‘Somos muy sabios’, porque Dios, y no un ser humano, les demostrará que están equivocados.
Lest you say, We have found wisdom, God thrusts him away, not man.
14 Job no alineó sus argumentos contra mí, y yo no le responderé como ustedes lo hicieron.
And he has not set words in array for me, And I do not answer him with your sayings.
15 Se quedaron sin palabras, sin nada más que decir.
(They have broken down, They have not answered again, They removed words from themselves.
16 ¿Debo seguir esperando, siendo que no hablan y solo están ahí de pie sin decir nada?
And I have waited, but they do not speak, For they have stood still, They have not answered anymore.)
17 Pues ahora yo también daré mi respuesta. Les diré lo que sé.
I answer, even I—my share, I show my opinion—even I.
18 ¡Tengo tanto que decir que no puedo retener las palabras!
For I have been full of words, The spirit of my breast has distressed me,
19 Por dentro soy como un vino en fermentación, embotellado; como odres nuevos a punto de estallar.
Behold, my breast [is] as wine not opened, It is broken up like new bottles.
20 Tengo que hablar antes de estallar; abriré mis labios para responderle.
I speak, and there is refreshment to me, I open my lips and answer.
21 No tomaré partido, y no voy a adular a nadie.
Please do not let me accept the face of any, Nor give flattering titles to man,
22 No sé adular, y si lo hiciera mi Creador pronto me destruiría”.
For I have not known to give flattering titles, My Maker takes me away in a little.”
