Job 31

1 “Me prometí a mí mismo no mirar nunca con deseo a las jóvenes.

A covenant I made to eyes my and what? will I look carefully on a virgin.

2 ¿Qué debe esperar la gente de Dios? ¿Qué recompensa debe darles el Todopoderoso en lo alto?

And what? - [is] [the] portion of God above and [the] inheritance of [the] Almighty from high places.

3 ¿No es el desastre para los malvados y la destrucción para los que hacen el mal?

¿ Not [does] calamity [belong] to an evil-doer and misfortune to [those who] do wickedness.

4 ¿No ve Dios todo lo que hago, incluso cuenta cada paso que doy?

¿ Not he does he see ways my and all steps my does he count?

5 ¿He vivido una vida engañosa? ¿He estado ansioso por decir mentiras?

If I have walked with falsehood and it has made haste to deceit foot my.

6 ¡No! Que Dios me pese en la balanza de su justicia y que descubra mi integridad.

Let him weigh me in balances of righteousness and let him acknowledge God integrity my.

7 “Si me he desviado del camino de Dios, si he dejado que lo que veo se convierta en mis deseos, si hay alguna mancha de pecado en mis manos,

If it turned aside step my from the way and after eyes my it has gone heart my and to hands my it has stuck a blemish.

8 entonces que otro coma lo que he sembrado, y que todo lo que he cultivado sea desarraigado.

Let me sow and another let him eat and produce my let them be rooted up.

9 Si una mujer me ha seducido, o si he buscado la oportunidad de acostarme con la mujer de mi prójimo,

10 que mi esposa sirva a otro, que otros hombres se acuesten con ella.

Let her grind for another wife my and over her let them bow down! others.

11 Porque eso sería una maldad, un pecado que merece castigo,

For (that *Q(K)*) [is] wickedness (and that *Q(k)*) [is] iniquity judges.

12 porque este pecado es como un fuego que lleva a la destrucción, destruyendo todo lo que tengo.

For [is] a fire that [which] to Abaddon it will devour and all produce my it will root up.

13 “Si me negara a escuchar a mis siervos o siervas cuando me trajeran sus quejas,

If I rejected [the] cause of male servant my and female servant my in complaint their with me.

14 ¿qué haría cuando Dios viniera a juzgarme? ¿Cómo respondería si me investigara?

And what? will I do if he will arise God and if he will visit what? will I respond to him.

15 ¿Acaso el mismo Dios no nos hizo a todos?

¿ Not in the belly [the one who] made me did he make him and did prepare us? he in the womb one.

16 ¿Me he negado a dar a los pobres lo que necesitaban, o he hecho desesperar a las viudas?

If I withheld any of [the] desire of poor [people] and [the] eyes of a widow I caused to fail.

17 ¿Acaso he comido yo solo un trozo de pan? ¿No he compartido siempre mi comida con los huérfanos?

And I may eat morsel of bread my to alone me and not he ate a fatherless one some of it.

18 Desde que era joven fui padre de los huérfanos y cuidé de las viudas.

For since youth my he grew up with me like a father and from [the] womb of mother my I guided her.

19 Si alguna vez veía a alguien necesitado de ropa, a los pobres sin nada que ponerse,

If I saw [one who] was perishing because not clothing and not covering [belonged] to the needy [person].

20 siempre me agradecían la ropa de lana que los mantenía calientes.

If not they blessed me (loins his *Q(K)*) and from [the] fleece of lambs my he warmed himself.

21 “Si levantaba la mano para golpear a un huérfano, seguro de que si llegaba a los tribunales los jueces estarían de mi parte,

If I brandished on a fatherless one hand my for I saw in the gate help my.

22 entonces que mi hombro sea arrancado de su articulación, que mi brazo sea arrancado de su cavidad.

Shoulder my from its shoulder let it fall and arm my from arm its let it be broken.

23 Como me aterra el castigo que Dios me tiene reservado, y debido a su majestad, nunca podría hacer esto.

For [was] a fear to me calamity of God and from majesty his not I am able.

24 “¿He puesto mi confianza en el oro, llamando al oro fino ‘mi seguridad’?

If I have made gold confidence my and to pure gold I have said security my.

25 ¿Me he deleitado en ser rico, feliz por todas mis riquezas que había ganado?

If I rejoiced for [was] great wealth my and for much it had found hand my.

26 ¿He mirado el sol brillando tan intensamente o la luna moviéndose con majestuosidad por el cielo

If I saw a light that it shone and [the] moon splendid [was] going.

27 y he tenido la tentación de adorarlos secretamente besando mi mano ante ellos como señal de devoción?

And it was gullible in secrecy heart my and it kissed hand my mouth my.

28 Esto también sería un pecado que merece castigo porque significaría que he negado a Dios en lo alto.

Also that [is] iniquity calling for judgment for I denied God above.

29 “¿Alguna vez me he alegrado cuando el desastre destruyó a los que me odiaban, o he celebrado cuando el mal los derribó?

If I rejoiced in [the] disaster of [one who] hated me and I excited myself if it had found him calamity.

30 Nunca he permitido que mi boca pecara echando una maldición sobre la vida de alguien.

And not I have permitted to sin palate my by asking for by a curse life his.

31 ¿No ha preguntado mi familia: ‘¿Hay alguien que no haya comido todo lo que quería de su comida?’

If not they have said [the] men of tent my who? will he give from meat his not [one who] is satisfied.

32 Nunca he dejado dormir a extraños en la calle; he abierto mis puertas a los viajeros.

In the street not he passed [the] night a sojourner doors my to the path I opened.

33 ¿He ocultado mis pecados a los demás, escondiendo mi maldad en lo más profundo de mí?

If I have concealed like Adam transgressions my by hiding in bosom my iniquity my.

34 ¿Tenía miedo de lo que pensaran los demás, del desprecio que me hicieran las familias, y por eso me callaba y no salía?

For I feared - a multitude great and [the] contempt of clans it caused to be dismayed me and I was silent not I went outside [the] door.

35 “¿Por qué nadie escucha lo que digo? Firmo con mi nombre para avalar todo lo que he dicho. Que el Todopoderoso me responda. Que mi acusador escriba de qué me acusa.

Who? will he give [will belong] to me - [one who] listens to me here! mark my [the] Almighty let him answer me and a document [which] he had written [the] person of case my.

36 Yo los pondría en alto; Los llevaría en mi cabeza como una corona.

If not on shoulder my I will carry it I will tie on it a crown to myself.

37 Le explicaría todo lo que había hecho; mantendría la cabeza alta ante él.

[the] number of Steps my I will tell to him like a chief I will approach him.

38 “Si mi tierra ha gritado contra mí; si sus surcos han llorado por mí;

If on me land my it cried out and together furrows its they wept!

39 si he tomado sus cosechas sin pago o si he causado daño a los agricultores;

If produce its I have eaten not money and [the] life of owners its I have caused to breathe out.

40 entonces que crezcan espinas en lugar de trigo, y cizaña en lugar de cebada”. Las palabras de Job se terminan.

In place of wheat - let it come forth thorn[s] and in place of barley foul weed[s] they are finished [the] words of Job.
