Jeremías 30
1 Este es el mensaje que llegó a Jeremías de parte del Señor:
The word which came unto Jeremiah, from Yahweh, saying: —
2 Esto es lo que dice el Señor, el Dios de Israel: Escribe en un libro todo lo que te he dicho.
Thus, speaketh Yahweh, God of Israel, saying, —Write thee all the words which I have spoken unto thee in a scroll;
3 Mira, se acerca el tiempo, declara el Señor, en que haré volver a mi pueblo Israel y Judá del cautiverio, declara el Señor. Los haré volver al país que les di a sus antepasados, y volverán a ser dueños de él.
For lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, Saith Yahweh, —and will bring them back into the land which I gave to their fathers that they might possess it.
4 Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor sobre Israel y Judá.
Now, these, are the words which Yahweh hath spoken against Israel and against Judah:
5 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Oigan los gritos de pánico, gritos de miedo, no de paz.
Yea, thus, saith Yahweh, A voice of trembling, have we heard, Dread and not welfare!
6 ¡Piensa en ello! ¿Pueden los hombres dar a luz? No. Entonces, ¿por qué veo a todos los hombres sujetándose el vientre con las manos como una mujer de parto? ¿Por qué todos los rostros están blancos como una sábana?
Ask, I pray you, and see, whether a male travaileth with child! Why have I seen Every man with his hands upon his loins like a woman in travail, and Every face turned into ghastliness?
7 ¡Qué día tan terrible será, un día como nunca antes! Este es el tiempo de la angustia para los descendientes de Jacob, pero serán rescatados de ella.
Alas! for, great, is that day, so that none is like it, —Yea, a time of anguish it is for Jacob, But out of it, shall he be saved.
8 En ese día, declara el Señor Todopoderoso, romperé el yugo de sus cuellos y arrancaré sus cadenas. Los extranjeros ya no los harán esclavos.
And it shall come to pass in that day, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, That I will break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bonds, will I tear off, —And foreigners shall use him as a slave no more;
9 Servirán al Señor, su Dios, y a su rey, el descendiente de David que yo les daré.
But they shall serve Yahweh their God, —and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10 Por lo que a ti respecta, siervo mío Jacob, no temas, declara el Señor, Israel, no te desanimes. Prometo salvarte de tus lejanos lugares de exilio, a tus descendientes de los países donde están cautivos. Los descendientes de Jacob volverán a casa con una vida tranquila y cómoda, libres de cualquier amenaza.
Thou therefore do not fear O my Servant Jacob Urgeth Yahweh, Neither be thou dismayed, O Israel, For behold me! saving thee from afar And thy seed out of the land of their captivity, —Then shall Jacob return, and rest and be quiet, And there shall be none to make him afraid;
11 Yo estoy con ustedes y los salvaré, declara el Señor. Aunque voy a destruir por completo a todas las naciones donde te he dispersado, no te destruiré por completo. Sin embargo, te disciplinaré como te mereces, y puedes estar seguro de que no te dejaré sin castigo.
For with thee, am, I, Declareth Yahweh To save thee, —Though I make an end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, Yet will I not of thee, make an end, But will chastise thee in measure, not holding thee, guiltless!
12 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Tienes una herida que no se puede curar, tienes una lesión terrible.
For Thus, saith Yahweh—incurable is thine injury, —Grievous is thy wound:
13 No hay nadie que se ocupe de tu caso, no hay cura para tus llagas, no hay curación para ti.
There is none to plead thy cause for binding thee up, —Healing bandages, hast thou none:
14 Todos tus amantes se han olvidado de ti; ya no se molestan en buscarte, porque te he golpeado como si fuera tu enemigo, la disciplina de una persona cruel, por lo malvado que eres, por tus muchos pecados.
All thy lovers, have forgotten thee, Thyself, do they not seek, —For With the wounding of an enemy, have I wounded thee With the correction of one who is cruel, Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, Because numerous have been thy sins.
15 ¿Por qué lloras por tu herida? Tu dolor no se puede curar. Yo te hice esto por lo malvado que eres, por tus muchos pecados.
Why shouldst thou make outcry over thine injury, Incurable is thy pain? Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, [Because] numerous have been thy sins Have I done these things unto thee.
16 Aun así, todo el que te destruya será destruido. Todos tus enemigos, hasta el último, serán enviados al exilio. Los que te saquearon serán saqueados, y todos los que te robaron serán robados.
Therefore, all who devour thee, shall be devoured, And, all thine adversaries—all of them, into captivity, shall depart, —So shall they who plundered thee, be plundered, And all who preyed upon thee, will I deliver up as a prey.
17 Pero yo te devolveré la salud y sanaré tus heridas, declara el Señor, porque la gente dice que has sido abandonada y que nadie se preocupa por ti, Sión.
For I will put a bandage upon thee, And from thy wounds, will I heal thee Declareth Yahweh, —Because An outcast, they called thee, ‘Tis, Zion! who hath none to ask for her welfare,
18 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Haré que los descendientes de Jacob vuelvan a sus hogares y me apiadaré de sus familias. La ciudad será reconstruida sobre sus ruinas, y el palacio volverá a estar en pie donde debe estar.
Thus, saith Yahweh—Behold me! bringing back the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And on his habitations, will I have compassion, —So shall the city be built, upon her own mound, And the citadel, upon its own site, shall remain:
19 La gente cantará canciones de agradecimiento, sonidos de celebración. Aumentaré su número, no disminuirá. Los honraré: no serán tratados como insignificantes.
So shall there proceed from them thanksgiving, and The sound of them who make merry, —And I will multiply them, and they shall not become few, And will make them honourable, and they shall not be despised:
20 Sus hijos serán atendidos como antes. Haré que su nación vuelva a ser fuerte, y castigaré a cualquiera que los ataque.
And, his sons, shall come to be as aforetime, And, his assembly, before me, shall continue, —And I will bring punishment on all his oppressors;
21 Su líder será de su propio país, su gobernante será elegido de entre ellos. Lo invitaré a acercarse a mí, y lo hará, porque ¿se atreverá alguien a acercarse a mí sin que se lo pida? declara el Señor.
And, his illustrious one, shall spring, from himself, And his ruler, from his own midst, shall proceed, And I will bring him near and he shall approach unto me, —For who is there that hath pledged his own heart to approach unto me? Demandeth Yahweh:
22 Ustedes serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios.
So shall ye become my people; And, I, will become your God.
23 ¡Cuidado! El Señor ha enviado una tormenta furiosa, un tornado que gira en torno a las cabezas de los malvados.
Lo! the tempest of Yahweh! Indignation, hath come forth, A tempest rolling itself upward, —Upon the head of the lawless ones, shall it hurl itself down!
24 La ira del Señor no se desvanecerá hasta que termine de hacer todo lo que quiere. Sólo entonces comprenderá realmente.
The fierceness of the anger of Yahweh will not turn back, Until he hath executed nor Until he hath established The purposes of his heart, —In the afterpart of the days, shall ye understand it.
