Isaías 54

1 ¡Canta de alegría, mujer sin hijos, tú que has tenido un bebé! ¡Grita en voz alta y canta de alegría, Jerusalén, tú que nunca has dado a luz! Porque la mujer abandonada tiene ahora más hijos que la casada, dice el Señor.

Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.

2 Haz más grande la tienda donde vives; estira la tela para agrandar tu casa. No trates de ahorrar espacio: alarga las cuerdas de tu tienda y haz más fuertes las estacas.

Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not — lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.

3 Te vas a extender a diestro y siniestro; tus descendientes se apoderarán de la tierra de otras naciones y vivirán en ciudades que antes estaban abandonadas.

For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,

4 No tengas miedo, porque no serás humillado; no te alteres, porque no serás deshonrado. Te olvidarás de la vergüenza de tu juventud, y ya no recordarás la vergüenza de tu viudez.

And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.

5 Porque tu Hacedor es tu esposo, el Señor Todopoderoso es su nombre el Santo de Israel es tu Redentor, se llama el Dios de toda la tierra.

For thy Maker [is] thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, And thy Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, 'God of all the earth,' He is called.

6 El Señor te ha llamado para que vuelvas, como una esposa abandonada y profundamente herida, una esposa que se casó cuando era joven, sólo para ser rechazada, dice tu Dios.

For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.

7 Te abandoné por poco tiempo, pero te haré volver, mostrándote una gran bondad.

In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,

8 En un momento de cólera, aparté mi rostro de ti, pero ahora, con un amor digno de confianza, seré siempre bondadoso contigo, dice el Señor, tu Redentor.

In overflowing wrath I hid my face [for] a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer — Jehovah!

9 Para mí, esto es igual que el tiempo de Noé, cuando prometí bajo juramento que un diluvio no volvería a cubrir la tierra. Del mismo modo, prometo bajo juramento que no me enfadaré contigo ni te regañaré.

For, the waters of Noah [is] this to Me, In that I have sworn — the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth — So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.

10 Aunque los montes dejen de existir y las colinas desaparezcan, no por ello dejará de existir mi amor confiable por ti ni desaparecerá mi acuerdo de paz, dice el Señor, que te muestra su bondad.

For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one — Jehovah.

11 ¡Mi pobre ciudad dañada por la tormenta que no puede ser consolada! Mira, voy a reponer tus piedras con cemento de antimonio, Utilizaré zafiros para poner tus cimientos.

O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,

12 Haré tus fortificaciones de rubíes; haré tus puertas de berilo resplandeciente. Todos tus muros serán de piedras preciosas,

And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,

13 y todos tus hijos serán alumnos del Señor, y vivirán en completa paz.

And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant [is] the peace of thy sons.

14 Tu sociedad funcionará a partir de principios de bondad y de derecho; no habrá nadie que te oprima. No tendrás miedo; no tendrás que enfrentar ningún tipo de terror.

In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.

15 Si algún invasor viene a atacarte, yo no lo envié; tú derrotarás a cualquiera que te ataque.

Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!

16 Mira: he creado al herrero que sopla las brasas en una llama caliente y forja un arma adecuada; y he creado al destructor que trae la destrucción.

Lo, I — I have prepared an artisan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.

17 Ninguna de las armas forjadas contra ti tendrá éxito, y condenarás a cualquiera que te acuse. Así son bendecidos los siervos del Señor, y yo soy el que los reivindica, declara el Señor.

No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!
