Isaías 52

1 ¡Despierta, despierta, Sión! ¡Sé fuerte! Ponte tus mejores galas, Jerusalén, la ciudad santa. Los extranjeros paganos no volverán a entrar en ti.

Awake, awake, Put on thy strength, O Zion, —Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem—thou holy city, For there shall not again come into thee any more the uncircumcised and unclean.

2 Sacúdete del polvo y levántate. Siéntate en tu trono, Jerusalén. Lanza las cadenas de tu cuello, hija cautiva de Sión.

Shake thyself from the dust arise—sit down O Jerusalem, —Loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive! daughter of Zion!

3 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Fuiste vendida por nada, y serás comprada de nuevo sin dinero.

For, thus, saith Yahweh, For nought, ye sold yourselves, —And not with silver, shall ye be redeemed,

4 Esto es lo que dice el Señor: En primer lugar, mi pueblo fue a vivir a Egipto, luego Asiria lo conquistó sin razón.

For, thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, To Egypt, went down my people at first to sojourn there, —But, Assyria, without cause, hath oppressed him.

5 ¿Qué tengo que hacer ahora? pregunta el Señor. Mi pueblo ha sido llevado al cautiverio sin razón alguna. Los que los gobiernan se burlan de ellos, y a mí me tratan con desprecio todo ese tiempo, dice el Señor.

Now, therefore, what do I here? Demandeth Yahweh. That my people have been taken away for nought? They who rule them, do howl, Declareth Yahweh, And, continually—all the day, is my Name brought into contempt.

6 Así que voy a hacer que mi pueblo me conozca; en ese momento sabrán que soy yo quien habla en serio. ¡Sí, soy yo!

Therefore, shall my people acknowledge my Name: Therefore, in that day, shall they acknowledge that, I, am the same, even I who am speaking, —Here, I am,

7 ¡Qué espectáculo tan maravilloso en las montañas es el que corre a traer buenas noticias, anunciando la paz y la buena nueva, anunciando la salvación, diciendo a Sión: “Tu Dios reina!”

How beautiful, upon the mountains are the feet—Of him That bringeth good tidings, That publisheth peace, That bringeth good tidings of blessing, That publisheth salvation, —That saith unto Zion, Thy God, hath become king.

8 Los vigilantes de la ciudad gritan con fuerza y cantan juntos de alegría; todos ven que el Señor vuelve a Jerusalén.

The voice of thy watchmen! They have uplifted a voice Together, do they renew the shout of triumph, —For eye to eye, shall they see, When Yahweh returneth to Zion.

9 Que las ruinas de Jerusalén canten todas de alegría porque el Señor ha venido a cuidar a su pueblo; ha liberado a Jerusalén.

Break forth, shout in triumph together, ye waste places of Jerusalem, —For Yahweh Hath comforted his people, Hath redeemed Jerusalem:

10 El Señor ha demostrado su santo poder a todas las naciones; el mundo entero verá la salvación de nuestro Dios.

Yahweh hath bared his holy arm, in the eyes of all the nations, So shall all the ends of the earth see the salvation of our God.

11 ¡Salgan, salgan, salgan de ahí! No traigan nada pagano; salgan y dejen todo atrás. Los que llevan los objetos sagrados del Señor deben purificarse.

Away! away! come, forth from thence!—Nought unclean, may ye touch, —Come forth out of her midst, Purify yourselves, ye who are to carry the vessels of Yahweh;

12 Pero no salgan con prisa, no se apresuren como si huyeran, porque el Señor irá delante de ustedes, y también protegerá a los de atrás.

For, not in haste, shall ye come forth, Nor, by flight, shall ye journey, —For, your van-guard, is Yahweh, And, your rear-guard, the God of Israel.

13 Mira: mi siervo actuará con sabiduría; será muy alabado, será elevado en su posición y visto como alguien a quien la gente admira.

Lo! my Servant, prospereth, —He riseth, and is lifted up, and becometh very high:

14 Pero muchos se horrorizaron de él, tan desfigurado en apariencia, que ya no parece un hombre, tan distinto a cualquier ser humano.

The more that Many, were amazed at thee, So marred, beyond any man’s, was his appearance, —And his form, beyond the sons of men,

15 Sorprenderá a muchas naciones, y los reyes callarán a causa de él, porque verán lo que no se les ha dicho, y entenderán lo que no habían oído.

The more doth he startle Many nations, Before him, have kings closed their mouth, —For, that which had not been related to them, have they seen, And that which they had not heard, haw they diligently considered.
