Isaías 37
1 Cuando Ezequías lo oyó, se rasgó las vestiduras, se vistió de cilicio y entró en el Templo del Señor.
And it was when heard the king Hezekiah and he tore clothes his and he covered himself with sackcloth and he went [the] house of Yahweh.
2 Envió a Eliaquim, el administrador del palacio, a Sebna, el escriba, y a los principales sacerdotes, todos vestidos de saco, a ver al profeta Isaías, hijo de Amoz.
And he sent Eliakim who [was] over the house and - Shebna the scribe and [the] elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet.
3 Ellos le dijeron: “Esto es lo que dice Ezequías: Hoy es un día de angustia y de castigo. Es como cuando los bebés llegan a la entrada del canal de parto, pero no hay fuerzas para darlos a luz.
And they said to him thus he says Hezekiah [is] a day of distress and rebuke and insult the day this for they have come children to birth and [is] strength there not for giving birth.
4 Tal vez el Señor, tu Dios, al oír el mensaje que el comandante del ejército entregó en nombre de su amo, el rey de Asiria -un mensaje enviado para insultar al Dios vivo- lo castigará por sus palabras. Por favor, reza una oración por el remanente de nosotros que aún sobrevive”.
Perhaps he will hear Yahweh God your - [the] words of [the] chief commander whom he has sent him [the] king of Assyria - master his to taunt [the] God living and he will rebuke the words which he has heard Yahweh God your and you will lift up prayer for the remnant which is found.
5 Después de que los funcionarios de Ezequías entregaron su mensaje a Isaías,
And they came [the] servants of the king Hezekiah to Isaiah.
6 éste les respondió: “Díganle a su amo: Esto es lo que dice el Señor: No te asustes por las palabras que has oído, las que usan los servidores del rey de Asiria para blasfemar contra mí.
And he said to them Isaiah thus you will say! to master your thus - he says Yahweh may not you be afraid of the words which you have heard which they have blasphemed [the] servants of [the] king of Assyria me.
7 Mira, voy a asustarlo: oirá un rumor y tendrá que volver a su país. Cuando esté allí lo haré matar a espada”.
Here I [am] about to put in him a spirit and he will hear a report and he will return to own land his and I will make fall him by the sword in own land his.
8 El comandante del ejército asirio se marchó y regresó para reunirse con el rey de Asiria, tras oír que el rey había salido de Laquis y estaba atacando Libna.
And he returned [the] chief commander and he found [the] king of Assyria fighting on Libnah if he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.
9 Senaquerib había recibido un mensaje sobre Tirhakah, rey de Etiopía, que decía: “¡Cuidado! Viene a atacarte”. Así que Senaquerib volvió a enviar mensajeros a Ezequías, diciendo:
And he heard on Tirhakah [the] king of Cush saying he has come out to do battle with you and he heard and he sent messengers to Hezekiah saying.
10 “Dile a Ezequías, rey de Judá: ‘No dejes que tu Dios, en el que confías, te engañe diciendo que Jerusalén no caerá en manos del rey de Asiria.
Thus you will say! to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah saying may not he deceive you God your whom you [are] trusting in him saying not it will be given Jerusalem in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
11 ¡Mira! Has oído lo que los reyes de Asiria han hecho a todos los países que han invadido— ¡los destruyeron por completo! ¿Realmente creen que se salvarán?
Here! - you you have heard [that] which they have done [the] kings of Assyria to all the lands by totally destroying them and you will you be delivered?
12 ¿Acaso los salvaron los dioses de las naciones que mis antepasados destruyeron: los dioses de Gozán, Harán, Rezef y el pueblo de Edén que vivía en Telasar?
¿ Did they deliver them [the] gods of the nations which they destroyed ancestors my Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and [the] people of Eden who [were] in Telassar.
13 ¿Dónde está hoy el rey de Hamat, el rey de Arpad, el rey de la ciudad de Sefarvaim, el rey de Hena o el rey de Ivva?’”
Where? [is] [the] king of Hamath and [the] king of Arpad and [the] king of Lair Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah.
14 Ezequías recibió la carta de los mensajeros y la leyó. Luego subió al Templo del Señor y la abrió ante el Señor.
And he took Hezekiah the letters from [the] hand of the messengers and he read it and he went up [the] house of Yahweh and he spread out it Hezekiah before Yahweh.
15 Ezequías oró al Señor, diciendo:
And he prayed Hezekiah to Yahweh saying.
16 “Señor Todopoderoso, Dios de Israel, tú que vives sobre los querubines, sólo tú eres Dios sobre todos los reinos de la tierra, tú eres el Creador del cielo y de la tierra.
O Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel [who] sits the cherubim you he [are] God to alone you of all [the] kingdoms of the earth you you have made the heavens and the earth.
17 Escucha con tus oídos, Señor, y oye; abre tus ojos, Señor, y mira. Escucha el mensaje que Senaquerib ha enviado para insultar al Dios vivo.
Incline O Yahweh - ear your and hear open O Yahweh eyes your and see and hear all [the] words of Sennacherib which he has sent to taunt [the] God living.
18 “Sí, es cierto, Señor, que los reyes asirios han destruido estas naciones y sus tierras.
Truly O Yahweh they have made desolate [the] kings of Assyria all the lands and land their.
19 Han arrojado sus dioses al fuego porque no son realmente dioses; son sólo obra de manos humanas, hechos de madera y piedra para poder destruirlos.
And they have put gods their in the fire for not [were] gods they that except [the] work of [the] hands of a person wood and stone and they destroyed them.
20 Ahora, Señor, Dios nuestro, sálvanos de él, para que todos los reinos de la tierra sepan que sólo tú, Señor, eres Dios”.
And now O Yahweh God our save us from hand his so they may know all [the] kingdoms of the earth that you [are] Yahweh to alone you.
21 Entonces Isaías, hijo de Amoz, envió un mensaje a Ezequías, diciendo: “Esto es lo que dice el Señor, el Dios de Israel: Como me has orado acerca de Senaquerib, rey de Asiria,
And he sent Isaiah [the] son of Amoz to Hezekiah saying thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel that you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria.
22 ésta es la palabra del Señor que lo condena: La virgen hija de Sión te desprecia y se burla de ti; la hija de Jerusalén sacude la cabeza cuando huyes.
This [is] the word which he has spoken Yahweh on him she has despised you she has mocked you [the] virgin of [the] daughter of Zion behind you a head she has shaken [the] daughter of Jerusalem.
23 ¿A quién has insultado y ridiculizado? ¿Contra quién has levantado la voz? ¿A quién miraste con ojos tan orgullosos? ¡Fue contra el Santo de Israel!
Whom? have you taunted and have you blasphemed? and on whom? have you raised a voice and have you lifted up? height eyes your against [the] holy [one] of Israel.
24 Por medio de tus siervos te has burlado del Señor. Dijiste: ‘Con mis numerosos carros he subido a las altas montañas, a las más lejanas cumbres del Líbano. He cortado sus cedros más altos, los mejores cipreses. He llegado a sus alturas más lejanas, a sus bosques más profundos.
By [the] hand of servants your you have taunted - [the] Lord and you have said with [the] abundance of chariotry my I I have gone up [the] height[s] of mountains [the] remotest parts of Lebanon so I may cut down [the] height of cedars its [the] choicest of pines its so I may come [to the] height of end its [the] forest of orchard its.
25 He cavado pozos y bebido agua en tierras extranjeras. Con las plantas de mis pies he secado todos los ríos de Egipto’”.
I I have dug and I have drunk water so I may dry up with [the] sole of feet my all [the] canals of Egypt.
26 El Señor responde: “¿No te has enterado? Lo decidí hace mucho tiempo; lo planeé en los viejos tiempos. Ahora me estoy asegurando de que ocurra, de que derribes las ciudades fortificadas hasta convertirlas en montones de escombros.
¿ Not have you heard from distant [time] it I appointed from days of antiquity and I planned it now I have brought it and you are [about] to make desolate heaps ruined cities fortified.
27 Su pueblo, impotente, está aterrorizado y humillado. Son como plantas en un campo, como brotes verdes y blandos, como hierba que brota en el tejado: están quemados antes de poder crecer.
And inhabitants their [were] short of hand they were dismayed and they were ashamed they were [the] vegetation of [the] field and [the] greenery of vegetation grass of roofs and a field before standing grain.
28 “Pero yo te conozco muy bien: dónde vives, cuándo entras, cuándo sales, y tu furia contra mí.
And sitting down your and going out you and coming in you I know and raging you against me.
29 A causa de tu furia contra mí, y porque sé cómo me faltas al respeto, voy a poner mi garfio en tu nariz y mi mordisco en tu boca, y te obligaré a volver por donde has venido”.
Because raging you against me and arrogance your it has come up in ears my and I will put hook my in nose your and bridle my on lips your and I will turn back you by the way which you came by it.
30 “Ezequías, esta será una señal para demostrar que esto es cierto: Este año comerás lo que crezca solo. El segundo año comerás lo que crezca por sí mismo. Pero el tercer año sembrarás y cosecharás, plantarás viñas y comerás su fruto.
And this for you [will be] the sign you will eat this year self-sown grain and in the year second self-seeded plant[s] and in the year third sow and reap and plant vineyards (and eat *Q(K)*) fruit their.
31 El remanente que quede de Judá revivirá, echando raíces abajo y dando frutos arriba.
And it will add [the] escaped remnant of [the] house of Judah which remains a root downwards and it will produce fruit upwards.
32 Porque de Jerusalén saldrá un remanente, y del monte Sión vendrán supervivientes. La intensa determinación del Señor se encargará de que esto ocurra.
For from Jerusalem it will go out a remnant and an escaped remnant from [the] mountain of Zion [the] zeal of Yahweh of hosts it will accomplish this.
33 Esto es lo que dice el Señor sobre el rey de Asiria: No entrará en esta ciudad ni lanzará una flecha contra ella. No avanzará hacia ella con un escudo, ni construirá una rampa de asedio contra ella.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh concerning [the] king of Assyria not he will come into the city this and not he will shoot there an arrow and not he will confront it a shield and not he will pour out on it a mound.
34 Volverá por donde vino y no entrará en esta ciudad, dice el Señor.
By the way which he came by it he will return and into the city this not he will come [the] utterance of Yahweh.
35 Yo defenderé esta ciudad y la salvaré, por mí y por mi siervo David”.
And I will defend the city this to deliver it for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.
36 Entonces el ángel del Señor fue al campamento asirio y mató a 185.000 de ellos. Cuando los supervivientes se despertaron por la mañana, estaban rodeados de cadáveres.
And he went out - [the] angel of Yahweh and he struck down in [the] camp of Assyria one hundred and eighty and five thousand and they rose early in the morning and there! all of them [were] corpses dead.
37 Senaquerib, rey de Asiria, se rindió y se fue. Regresó a su casa en Nínive y se quedó allí.
And he set out and he went and he returned Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he remained in Nineveh.
38 Mientras adoraba en el templo de su dios Nisroc, sus hijos Adramelec y Sarezer lo mataron con la espada y luego huyeron a la tierra de Ararat. Su hijo Esar-hadón le sucedió como rey.
And it was he [was] bowing down [the] house of - Nisroch god his and Adrammelech and Sharezer sons his they struck down him with the sword and they they escaped [the] land of Ararat and he reigned Esar-haddon son his in place his.
