Isaías 35
1 El desierto y la tierra seca celebrarán; el desierto florecerá como el azafrán.
They rejoice from the wilderness and dry place, And the desert rejoices, And flourishes as the rose,
2 ¡Florezcan profusamente, celebren y canten! Se le dará la gloria del Líbano, el esplendor del Carmelo y de Sarón. Verán la gloria del Señor, el esplendor de nuestro Dios.
Flourishing it flourishes, and rejoices, Indeed, [with] joy and singing, The glory of Lebanon has been given to it, The beauty of Carmel and Sharon, They see the glory of YHWH, The majesty of our God.
3 ¡Haz que las manos débiles se fortalezcan, y haz que las rodillas temblorosas se mantengan firmes!
Strengthen the feeble hands, Indeed, strengthen the stumbling knees.
4 Diles a los que tienen miedo: ¡Sean fuertes! ¡No tengan miedo! Miren que su Dios viene a castigar a sus enemigos, y vendrá con la retribución divina para salvaros.
Say to the hurried of heart, “Be strong, Do not fear, behold, your God; vengeance comes, The repayment of God, He Himself comes and saves you.”
5 Cuando eso ocurra, los ciegos verán y los sordos oirán.
Then eyes of the blind are opened, And ears of the deaf are unstopped,
6 El cojo saltará como un ciervo y el mudo cantará de alegría. Los manantiales brotarán en el desierto; los arroyos fluirán en el desierto.
Then the lame leap as a deer, And the tongue of the mute sings, For waters have been broken up in a wilderness, And streams in a desert.
7 La tierra seca será como un estanque, la tierra árida como manantiales de agua. En el lugar donde los chacales que solía vivir, habrá hierba, cañas y juncos.
And the mirage has become a pond, And the thirsty land—fountains of waters, In the habitation of dragons, Its place of lying down, A court for reed and rush.
8 Allí habrá una carretera, un camino llamado “El camino de la santidad”. Ningún malvado viajará por ella, sólo los que siguen el Camino. Los necios no irán por allí.
And a highway has been there, and a way, And it is called the “Way of Holiness.” The unclean do not pass over it, And He Himself [is] by them, Whoever is going in the way—even fools do not err.
9 En el camino no se encontrarán leones ni otros animales peligrosos: sólo los redimidos caminarán por él.
No lion is there, Indeed, a destructive beast does not ascend it, It is not found there, And the redeemed have walked,
10 Los que el Señor ha liberado volverán cantando al entrar en Jerusalén, con coronas de alegría eterna. Les invade el agradecimiento y la alegría; la pena y la tristeza simplemente desaparecen.
And the ransomed of YHWH return, And have entered Zion with singing, And [with] continuous joy on their head, They attain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing have fled away!
