Génesis 46
1 Así que Israel se fue a Egipto con todo lo que tenía. Cuando llegó a Beerseba ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.
And Israel departed, he and all that he had, and came to the well of the oath; and he offered sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac.
2 Durante la noche Dios habló a Israel en una visión. “¡Jacob! ¡Jacob!” llamó. “Estoy aquí”, respondió.
And God spoke to Israel in a night vision, saying, Jacob, Jacob; and he said, What is it?
3 “¡Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre! No temas ir a Egipto, porque te convertiré a ti y a tus descendientes en una gran nación.
And he says to him, I am the God of your fathers; fear not to go down into Egypt, for I will make you there a great nation.
4 Iré a Egipto contigo, y prometo traerte de vuelta. Y José personalmente cerrará tus ojos cuando mueras”.
And I will go down with you into Egypt, and I will bring you up at the end; and Joseph shall put his hands on your eyes.
5 Entonces Jacob dejó Beerseba. Sus hijos lo llevaron a él, a sus hijos y a sus esposas a Egipto usando los carros que el Faraón había enviado.
And Jacob rose up from the well of the oath; and the sons of Israel took up their father, and the baggage, and their wives on the waggons, which Joseph sent to take them.
6 También se llevaron todo su ganado y todas las pertenencias personales que habían acumulado en el país de Canaán. Así pues, Jacob y todos los miembros de su extensa familia fueron a Egipto,
And they took up their goods, and all their property, which they had gotten in the land of Chanaan; they came into the land of Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him.
7 incluyendo todos sus hijos y nietos, hijas y nietas.
The sons, and the sons of his sons with him; [his] daughters, and the daughters of his daughters; and he brought all his seed into Egypt.
8 La siguiente es la genealogía de Israel y sus hijos que fueron a Egipto: Rubén, el primogénito de Jacob.
And these are the names of the sons of Israel that went into Egypt with their father Jacob—Jacob and his sons. The firstborn of Jacob, Ruben.
9 Los hijos de Rubén: Janoc, Falú, Jezrón y Carmi.
And the sons of Ruben; Enoch, and Phallus, Asron, and Charmi.
10 Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jachín, Zojar y Saúl, hijo de una mujer cananea.
and the sons of Symeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Aod, and Achin, and Saar, and Saul, the son of a Chananitish woman.
11 Los hijos de Leví: Gersón, Coat y Merari.
And the sons of Levi; Gerson, Cath, and Merari.
12 Los hijos de Judá: Onán, Selá, Fares y Zera. Sin embargo, Er y Onán murieron en Canaán. Los hijos de Fares: Hezrón y Hamul.
And the sons of Judas; Er, and Aunan, and Selom, and Phares, and Zara: and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.
13 Los hijos de Isacar: Tola, Fuvá, Job, y Simrón.
And the sons of Phares [were] Esron, and Jemuel. And the sons of Issachar; Thola, and Phua, and Asum, and Sambran.
14 Los hijos de Zabulón: Séred, Elón y Yalel.
And the sons of Zabulun, Sered, and Allon, and Achoel.
15 Estos son los hijos que Lea tuvo para Jacob en Padán Harán, así como su hija Dina. El número total de hijos e hijas y nietos fue de treinta y tres.
These [are] the sons of Lea, which she bore to Jacob in Mesopotamia of Syria, and Dina his daughter; all the souls, sons and daughters, thirty-three.
16 Los hijos de Gad: Zefón, Jaguí, Suni, Esbón, Erí, Arodí y Arelí.
And the sons of Gad; Saphon, and Angis, and Sannis, and Thasoban, and Aedis, and Aroedis, and Areelis.
17 Los hijos de Aser: Imná, Isvá, Isví, Beriá, y su hermana Sera. Los hijos de Beriá: Heber y Malquiel.
And the sons of Aser; Jemna, Jessua, and Jeul, and Baria, and Sara their sister. And the sons of Baria; Chobor, and Melchiil.
18 Estos son los hijos que Jacob tuvo con Zilpá, la sierva dada por Labán a su hija Lea. Fue en total dieciséis hijos y nietos.
These [are] the sons of Zelpha, which Laban gave to his daughter Lea, who bore these to Jacob, sixteen souls.
19 Los hijos de la esposa de Jacob, Raquel: José y Benjamín.
And the sons of Rachel, the wife of Jacob; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20 Los hijos que José tuvo en la tierra de Egipto con Asenat, hija de Potifera, sacerdote de On: Manasés y Efraín.
And there were sons born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Aseneth, the daughter of Petephres, priest of Heliopolis, bore to him, [even] Manasses and Ephraim. And there were sons born to Manasses, which the Syrian concubine bore to him, [even] Machir. And Machir begot Galaad. And the sons of Ephraim, the brother of Manasses; Sutalaam, and Taam. And the sons of Sutalaam; Edom.
21 Los hijos de Benjamín: Bela, Béquer, Asbel, Guerá, Naamán, Ehí, Ros, Mupín, Jupín y Ard.
and the sons of Benjamin; Bala, and Bochor, and Asbel. And the sons of Bala were Gera, and Noeman, and Anchis, and Ros, and Mamphim. And Gera begot Arad.
22 Estos son los hijos que Raquel tuvo con Jacob, y fueron en total catorce hijos y nietos.
These [are] the sons of Rachel, which she bore to Jacob; all the souls eighteen.
23 El hijo de Dan: Jusín.
And the sons of Dan; Asom.
24 Los hijos de Neftalí: Yasel, Guní, Jéser y Silén.
And the sons of Nephthalim; Asiel, and Goni, and Issaar, and Sollem.
25 Estos son los hijos que Jacob tuvo con Bilhá, la sierva dada por Labán para su hija Raquel. Fue un total de siete hijos y nietos.
These [are] the sons of Balla, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, who bore these to Jacob; all the souls, seven.
26 Todos los que formaban parte de la familia de Jacob que vinieron a Egipto (sus parientes de sangre, aparte de las esposas de los hijos de Jacob) sumaban un total de sesenta y seis.
And all the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, who came out of his loins, besides the wives of the sons of Jacob, [even] all the souls were sixty-six.
27 Incluyendo los dos hijos que José tuvo en Egipto, el número total de la familia de Jacob que se encontraba en Egipto era de setenta.
And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in the land of Egypt, were nine souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob who came with Joseph into Egypt, were seventy-five souls.
28 Jacob envió a Judá por delante para que se reuniera con José y averiguara el camino a Gosén. Cuando llegaron a Gosén,
And he sent Judas before him to Joseph, to meet him to the city of Heroes, into the land of Ramesses.
29 José ordenó que prepararan su carro y fue a encontrarse allí con su padre Israel. Tan pronto como llegó, abrazó a su padre y lloró por mucho tiempo.
And Joseph having made ready his chariots, went up to meet Israel his father, at the city of Heroes; and having appeared to him, fell on his neck, and wept with abundant weeping.
30 “Ahora puedo morir en paz porque he visto tu rostro de nuevo y sé que sigues vivo”, le dijo Israel a José.
And Israel said to Joseph, After this I will [gladly] die, since I have seen your face, for you are yet living.
31 José dijo a sus hermanos y a la familia de su padre: “Voy a ir a informar al Faraón y a decirle: ‘Mis hermanos y la familia de mi padre han llegado del país de Canaán para unirse a mí.
And Joseph said to his brethren, I will go up and tell Pharao, and will say to him, My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Chanaan, are come to me.
32 Son pastores y tienen ganado. Han traído con ellos sus rebaños y manadas y todas sus posesiones’.
And the men are shepherds; for they have been feeders of cattle, and they have brought with them their cattle, and their kine, and all their property.
33 “Cuando el Faraón los llame y les pregunte: ‘¿Qué trabajo hacen ustedes?’
If then Pharao call you, and say to you, What is you occupation?
34 díganle: ‘Tus siervos han cuidado ganado desde que éramos niños, tanto nosotros como nuestros padres antes que nosotros’. Así podrán vivir aquí en Gosén, porque los egipcios desprecian a los pastores”.
You shall say, We your servants are herdsmen from our youth until now, both we and our fathers: that you may dwell in the land of Gesem of Arabia, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.
