Esdras 9
1 Algún tiempo después de todo esto, los líderes vino y me dijo: “El pueblo de Israel, incluidos los sacerdotes y los levitas, no se ha mantenido separado de los pueblos que nos rodean, cuyas repugnantes prácticas religiosas son similares a las de los cananeos, hititas, ferezeos, jebuseos, amonitas, moabitas, egipcios y amorreos.
And just as finished these [things] they drew near to me the leaders saying not they have separated themselves the people Israel and the priests and the Levites from [the] peoples of the lands according to abominations their to the Canaanite[s] the Hittite[s] the Perizzite[s] the Jebusite[s] the Ammonite[s] the Moabite[s] the Egyptian[s] and the Amorite[s].
2 Algunos israelitas incluso se han casado con mujeres de estos pueblos, tanto ellos como sus hijos, mezclando la raza santa con estos pueblos de la tierra. Nuestros líderes y funcionarios están al frente de este comportamiento pecaminoso”.
For they have taken some of daughters their for themselves and for sons their and they have mixed themselves [the] offspring of holiness with [the] peoples of the lands and [the] hand of the leaders and the officials it has been in the unfaithfulness this first.
3 Cuando me enteré de esto, me rasgué las vestiduras, me arranqué un poco de pelo de la cabeza y de la barba y me senté, absolutamente horrorizado.
And just as heard I the matter this I tore garment my and robe my and I pulled out! some of [the] hair of head my and beard my and I sat down! appalled.
4 Todos los que respetaban las instrucciones del Dios de Israel se reunieron a mi alrededor por este pecado de los exiliados. Me senté allí, conmocionado y horrorizado, hasta el sacrificio de la tarde.
And to me they gathered every [person] trembling at [the] words of [the] God of Israel on [the] unfaithfulness of the exile[s] and I [was] sitting appalled until [the] offering of the evening.
5 A la hora del sacrificio vespertino, me levanté de donde había estado sentado, apesadumbrado, con mis ropas rasgadas, y me arrodillé y extendí mis manos al Señor, mi Dios.
And at [the] offering of the evening I arose from humiliation my and in tearing of my garment my and robe my and I bowed down! on knees my and I spread out! palms my to Yahweh God my.
6 Oré: “Dios mío, me siento tan avergonzado y abochornado de venir a orar a ti, Dios mío, porque estamos sobrepasados por el pecado, y nuestra culpa ha subido a los cielos.
And I said! O God my I am ashamed and I am humiliated to lift up O God my face my to you for iniquities our they have increased upwards a head and guilt our it is great to the heavens.
7 Desde el tiempo de nuestros antepasados hasta ahora, hemos sido profundamente culpables. A causa de nuestros pecados, nosotros, nuestros reyes y nuestros sacerdotes hemos sido entregados a los reyes de la tierra, asesinados y hechos prisioneros, robados y humillados, como lo somos hoy.
From [the] days of ancestors our we [have been] in guilt great until the day this and in iniquities our we have been given we kings our priests our in [the] hand of - [the] kings of the lands by sword by captivity and by plunder and by shame of face as the day this.
8 “Ahora, por un corto tiempo, el Señor, nuestro Dios, nos ha dado gracia, preservando a algunos de nosotros como un remanente, y dándonos seguridaden su lugar santo. Nuestro Dios ha iluminado nuestras vidas dándonos un alivio de nuestra esclavitud.
And now like a little of a moment it has come favor from with - Yahweh God our to leave to us an escaped remnant and to give to us a tent peg in [the] place of holiness his to light up eyes our God our and to give to us reviving a little in servitude our.
9 Aunque somos esclavos, nuestro Dios no nos ha abandonado en nuestra esclavitud, sino que nos ha mostrado su amor confiable al hacer que los reyes de Persia sean bondadosos con nosotros, al revivirnos para que podamos reconstruir el Templo de nuestro Dios y reparar su estado ruinoso, y al darnos un muro de protección alrededor de Judá y Jerusalén.
For [are] slaves we and in servitude our not he has abandoned us God our and he has extended towards us covenant loyalty before [the] kings of Persia by giving to us reviving to raise up [the] house of God our and to set up ruins its and by giving to us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
10 “Pero ahora, Dios nuestro, ¿qué tenemos que decir en nuestro favor después de todo esto? Porque hemos renunciado a seguir tus mandatos
And therefore what? will we say O God our after this for we have forsaken commandments your.
11 que diste por medio de tus siervos los profetas, diciéndonos: ‘La tierra en la que vais a entrar para convertiros en sus dueños está contaminada por los pecados de sus pueblos, por las repugnantes prácticas religiosas de las que la han llenado, de un lado a otro.
Which you commanded by [the] hand of servants your the prophets saying the land which you [are] going to take possession of it [is] a land of impurity it by [the] impurity of [the] peoples of the lands by abominations their which they have filled it from mouth to mouth with uncleanness their.
12 Por tanto, no permitan que sus hijas se casen con sus hijos, ni que sus hijas se casen con vuestros hijos. No hagan nunca un tratado de paz o de amistad con ellos, para que puedan vivir bien y comer los buenos alimentos que produce la tierra, y dar la tierra como herencia a vuestros hijos para siempre’.
And therefore daughters your may not you give to sons their and daughters their may not you take for sons your and not you must seek peace their and good their until perpetuity so that you may be strong and you will eat [the] good thing[s] of the land and you will cause to inherit [it] sons your until perpetuity.
13 “Ahora que estamos recibiendo todo este castigo a causa de nuestras acciones pecaminosas y nuestra terrible culpa – aunquetú, nuestro Dios, no nos has castigado tanto como merecen nuestros pecados, y aún nos has dado este remanente—
And after every [thing which] has come on us by deeds our evil and by guilt our great for - you O God our you have withheld downwards from iniquity our and you have given to us an escaped remnant like this.
14 ¿acaso que brantaremos otra vez tus mandamientos para casarnos con los pueblos que cometen estas prácticas religiosas abominables? ¿Acaso no te enfadarías tanto con nosotros y hasta nos destrurías? No quedaría ningún remanente, ni un solo superviviente.
¿ Will we return to break commandments your and to intermarry with [the] peoples of the abominations these ¿ not will you be angry with us until make an end to there not [will be] a remnant and an escaped remnant.
15 Señor, Dios de Israel, tú procedes con justicia. Hoy somos todo lo que queda, un remanente. Estamos ante ti con nuestra culpa, y por su causa nadie puede permanecer ante ti”.
O Yahweh [the] God of Israel [are] righteous you for we are left an escaped remnant as the day this here we [are] before you in guilt our for not to stand before you on this.
