Ezequiel 5
1 “Hijo de hombre, ve a afeitarte la cabeza y la barba con una espada afilada como una navaja de barbero. Luego reparte el cabello con una balanza.
Thou therefore son of man Take thee a sharp cutting instrument, a barber’s razor, shalt thou take thee, and shalt cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy chin, —and shalt take the balances for weighing, and shalt divide the hair.
2 Una vez terminados los días de asedio, quema un tercio del cabello dentro de la ciudad; acuchilla a otro tercio con una espada alrededor de la ciudad; y dispersa otro tercio en el viento. Soltaré una espada detrás de ellos para perseguirlos.
A third part in the fire, shalt thou burn in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled, —and thou shalt take a third part, thou shalt smite it with the cuting instrument round about it, and a third part, shalt thou scatter to the wind, and, a sword, will I, make bare after them;
3 “Toma unos cuantos cabellos y mételos en el dobladillo de tu ropa.
and thou shalt take from thence, a few in number, —and shalt bind them in thy skirts;
4 Toma algunos de ellos y arrójalos al fuego para quemarlos. Un fuego se extenderá desde allí para quemar a todos en Israel.
and of them, again take, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire, -therefrom, shall go forth a fire unto all the house of Israel.
5 “Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Esto representa a Jerusalén. La puse en medio de las naciones, rodeada de otros países.
Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, This, is Jerusalem, In the midst of the nations, I placed her, — and of the countries round about her;
6 Pero ella se rebeló contra mis reglas, actuando con más maldad que las naciones, y desafió mis reglamentos más que los países que la rodean. Su pueblo rechazó mis reglas y se negó a seguir mis normas.
But she hath changed my regulations into lawlessness, more than the nations, And my statutes more than the countries which are round bout her, For my regulations, have they rejected, And in my statutes, have they not walked.
7 “En consecuencia, esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Has causado más problemas que las naciones que te rodean. Te negaste a seguir mis reglas y a cumplir mis normas. De hecho, ni siquiera viviste a la altura de las naciones que te rodean.
Therefore, Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh. Because ye have become more rebellious than the nations who are round about you, In my statutes, have not walked. And my regulations, have not done, And according to the regulations of the nations which are round about you, have not done:
8 “Así que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: ¡Cuidado, porque soy yo quien te condena, Jerusalén! Voy a cumplir mi sentencia contra ti mientras las otras naciones observan.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Lo! I am against thee, even I, Therefore will I, execute in thy midst, judgments, in the eyes of the nations;
9 Por todas las cosas repugnantes que has hecho, voy a hacer contigo lo que nunca he hecho antes, y lo que nunca volveré a hacer.
Yea I will execute upon thee that which I have not executed, And like unto which I will not execute again, - Because of all thine abominations.
10 En tu ciudad los padres se comerán a sus propios hijos, y los hijos se comerán a sus padres. Voy a castigarte y a dispersar en todas direcciones a los que queden.
Therefore, fathers will eat sons in thy midst, And sons will eat fathers, — And I will execute upon thee judgments, And will scatter the whole remnant of thee, to every wind.
11 “En vida, declara el Señor Dios, por haber ensuciado mi santuario con todos tus ídolos ofensivos y tus prácticas repugnantes, dejaré de tratarte bien. No seré bondadoso contigo; no te mostraré ninguna piedad.
Therefore as I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, — Surely because my sanctuary, thou hast defiled, with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations Even I also, will cut off, and mine eye, shall not spare, Yea even I will not pity.
12 “Un tercio de tu pueblo morirá de enfermedad o de hambre dentro de la ciudad; un tercio morirá a espada fuera de los muros de la ciudad; y un tercio lo esparciré al viento en todas direcciones, y soltaré una espada detrás de ellos para perseguirlos.
The third part of thee by pestilence, shall die, and by famine, be consumed in thy midst And the third part by the sword, shall fall round about thee, - And the third part to every wind, will I scatter, and a sword, will I make bare after them.
13 “Cuando se acabe mi cólera y haya terminado de castigarlos, entonces estaré satisfecho. Cuando haya terminado de castigarlos, entonces sabrán que yo, el Señor, hablé en serio cuando hablé tan fuerte.
So shall mine anger have an end, And I will cause mine indignation, to find rest, upon them, and will console myself, - And they shall know that, I, Yahweh, have spoken in my jealousy, when mine indignation hath come to an end, upon them.
14 “Voy a arruinarlos y a humillarlos frente a las naciones que los rodean, a la vista de todos los transeúntes.
And I will deliver thee up to desolation and reproach, among the nations that are round about thee, —in the eyes of every passer-by.
15 Serás criticado y escarnecido, serás una advertencia y algo horripilante para las naciones circundantes cuando ejecute mi sentencia contra ti con mi furia y mi enojo. Yo, el Señor, he hablado.
So shall it become a reproach and an insult a warning and an astonishment, to the nations that are round about thee, —in that I have executed upon thee judgments in anger and in indignation and in rebukes of indignation, I, Yahweh have spoken:
16 “Cuando derrame sobre ti flechas mortales de hambre y destrucción, su intención será matarte. Haré que tu hambruna empeore al detener tu suministro de alimentos.
In that I have sent the malignant arrows of famine among them which were for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, —and famine, will I increase upon you, and will break for you the staff of bread.
17 Enviaré el hambre y los animales salvajes para que te ataquen. No te quedarán hijos. La enfermedad y la matanza se abatirán sobre ti, y traeré ejércitos para que te ataquen. Yo, el Señor, he hablado”.
So will I send upon you famine and mischievous beast and they shall bereave thee, —and pestilence and blood, shall pass through thee, —and a sword, will I bring in upon thee, I Yahweh, have spoken.
