Ezequiel 4

1 “Hijo de hombre, debes tomar un ladrillo, ponerlo frente a ti y dibujar en él la ciudad de Jerusalén.

'And thou, son of man, take to thee a brick, and thou hast put it before thee, and hast graven on it a city — Jerusalem,

2 Muestra que está sitiada: establece un perímetro de asedio a su alrededor, construye una rampa de asedio contra ella, coloca los campamentos enemigos junto a ella y pon arietes por todos los lados alrededor.

and hast placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set thou against it battering-rams round about.

3 Pon una placa de hierro entre tú y la ciudad para que sea como un muro de hierro. Enfréntate a la ciudad y demuestra que está sitiada y que eres tú quien la ataca. Esta es una advertencia simbólica para el pueblo de Israel.

And thou, take to thee an iron pan, and thou hast made it a wall of iron between thee and the city; and thou hast prepared thy face against it, and it hath been in a siege, yea, thou hast laid siege against it. A sign it [is] to the house of Israel.

4 “Luego acuéstate sobre tu lado izquierdo y carga con los pecados de los israelitas. Llevarás sus pecados durante el número de días que te acuestes sobre tu costado.

'And thou, lie on thy left side, and thou hast placed the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; the number of the days that thou liest on it, thou bearest their iniquity.

5 Te haré permanecer allí durante 390 días, que representan el número de años de sus pecados. Llevarás los pecados de los israelitas.

And I — I have laid on thee the years of their iniquity, the number of days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou hast borne the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 “Una vez que hayas terminado de hacer esto durante estos días, entonces te acostarás de nuevo, pero esta vez sobre tu lado derecho, y llevarás los pecados del pueblo de Judá. Te haré permanecer allí durante 40 días, un día por cada año.

And thou hast completed these, and hast lain on thy right side, a second time, and hast borne the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days — a day for a year — a day for a year I have appointed to thee.

7 Mantén tu rostro hacia el sitio de Jerusalén con el brazo desnudo, y profetiza contra él.

'And unto the siege of Jerusalem thou dost prepare thy face, and thine arm [is] uncovered, and thou hast prophesied concerning it.

8 “Prepárate, porque ahora te voy a atar con cuerdas para que no puedas moverte de un lado a otro hasta que terminen los días de tu asedio.

And lo, I have put on thee thick bands, and thou dost not turn from side to side till thy completing the days of thy siege.

9 “Consigue trigo, cebada, frijoles, lentejas, mijo y espelta, y mézclalos en una vasija. Utilízalos para hacer pan para ti. Esto es lo que debes comer durante los 390 días que permanezcas acostado.

'And thou, take to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and thou hast put them in one vessel, and made them to thee for bread; the number of the days that thou art lying on thy side — three hundred and ninety days — thou dost eat it.

10 Se te permite comer veinte siclos de peso de comida cada día, y debes comerla a horas regulares.

And thy food that thou dost eat [is] by weight, twenty shekels daily; from time to time thou dost eat it.

11 “Mide un sexto de hin de agua para beber, y la beberás a horas regulares.

'And water by measure thou dost drink, a sixth part of the hin; from time to time thou dost drink [it].

12 Comerán el pan como si fuera un pan de cebada. Lo hornearán sobre un fuego que queme excrementos humanos secos mientras todos los observan”.

A barley-cake thou dost eat it, and it with dung — the filth of man — thou dost bake before their eyes.

13 Entonces el Señor dijo: “Esta es la forma en que los israelitas comerán su pan impuro entre las naciones donde los exiliaré”.

And Jehovah saith, 'Thus do the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations whither I drive them.'

14 “¡Por favor, no, Señor Dios!” Respondí. “Nunca me he hecho impuro. No he comido nada encontrado muerto o matado por animales salvajes desde que era joven hasta ahora. Nunca me he metido en la boca carne impura”.

And I say, 'Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, my soul is not defiled, and carcase, and torn thing, I have not eaten from my youth, even till now; nor come into my mouth hath abominable flesh.'

15 “Está bien”, dijo. “Te dejaré usar estiércol de vaca en lugar de excremento humano Puedes hornear tu pan sobre el fuego usando eso”.

And He saith unto me, 'See, I have given to thee bullock's dung instead of man's dung, and thou hast made thy bread by it.'

16 Luego continuó: “¡Hijo de hombre, mira! Voy a acabar con el suministro de alimentos de Jerusalén. Preocupados por la enfermedad, comerán pan racionado por peso. Desesperados por lo que está sucediendo, beberán agua medida en pequeñas cantidades.

And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, lo, I am breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they have eaten bread by weight and with fear; and water by measure and with astonishment, they do drink;

17 Al quedarse sin comida y sin agua, se horrorizarán al ver cómo se consumen unos a otros por culpa de sus pecados”.

so that they lack bread and water, and have been astonished one with another, and been consumed in their iniquity.
