Ezequiel 38

1 Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2 “Hijo de hombre, mira hacia Gog del país de Magog, el jefe de Mesec y Tubal. Profetiza contra él

Son of man Set thy face against Gog of the land of the Magog, Prince of Rosh Meshech and Tubal, - And prophesy concerning him,

3 y declara que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Cuidado, te estoy condenando, Gog, jefe de Mesec y Tubal.

and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;

4 Te enviaré en otra dirección, pondré garfios en tus fauces y te arrastraré con todo tu ejército, incluidos tus caballos, tus jinetes uniformados y un ejército de hombres con escudos grandes y pequeños y rodelas, todos blandiendo sus espadas.

Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws, —and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords, all of them:

5 Se unirán a ellos soldados de Persia, Cus y Put, todos equipados con escudos y cascos,

Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;

6 junto con Gomer y todos sus ejércitos, así como Bet-togarma de los lugares distantes del norte con todos sus ejércitos, y muchas otras naciones que se unirán a ti.

Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.

7 “¡Prepárate! Asegúrate de que tú y todo tu ejército contigo estén preparados. Tú eres el que está a cargo de ellos.

Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee, — And become thou for me a guard.

8 Mucho tiempo después serás llamado a la batalla. En los últimos años invadirás un país que se ha recuperado de la guerra. Su pueblo habrá sido reunido de muchas naciones a las montañas de Israel, que habían sido abandonadas durante mucho tiempo. Habrán sido traídos de vuelta de las naciones, y estarán todos viviendo en seguridad.

After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the afterpart of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back from the sword Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually, — But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.

9 Tú y todo tu ejército, y los ejércitos de muchas naciones contigo, avanzarán como una tormenta que llega, como una nube que cubre la tierra.

Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be, — Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.

10 “Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: En ese día empezarás a pensar en cosas en tu mente, y se te ocurrirá un plan malvado.

Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, — So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come up on thy heart.- And thou wilt devise a wicked device;

11 Te dirás a ti mismo: ‘Voy a atacar un país de pueblos sin defensa, un pueblo pacífico que no sospecha de un ataque. Todos viven en pueblos sin muros defensivos ni puertas con barrotes.

and wilt say— I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely, — All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;

12 Podré saquearlos, les robaré sus posesiones. Atacaré los lugares que antes estaban arruinados, pero que ahora vuelven a estar habitados. Atacaré a un pueblo traído de las otras naciones, que ahora tiene ganado y posesiones, que vive en el centro del país’.

To capture spoil. And take prey, - To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.

13 “Saba y Dedán y los comerciantes de Tarsis con todos sus fuertes líderes preguntará: ‘¿Vas a saquear el lugar? ¿Has reunido a tus ejércitos para robarles, para llevarse la plata y el oro, para tomar el ganado y las posesiones, para apoderarte de un gran botín?’

Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?

14 “Así que profetiza, hijo de hombre, y dile a Gog que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: El día que ataques, ¿no te darás cuenta de que mi pueblo Israel está desprevenido?

Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely: , that thou wilt rouse thyself?

15 Avanzarás desde tu lugar en el lejano norte, tú y tus muchos aliados, todos montando a caballo, un gran número de hombres, un ejército masivo.

Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee, —Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;

16 Atacarás a mi pueblo Israel como una nube que cubre la tierra. Gog, en los últimos días te enviaré a atacar mi tierra, para que las naciones me reconozcan como santo cuando me revele ante ellas por lo que hago a través de ti.

Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land, — In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!

17 “Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: ¿No eres tú aquel del que hablé hace tiempo por medio de mis siervos, los profetas de Israel? ¿Acaso no profetizaron durante años que yo te haría venir y los atacaría?

Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years, —That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?

18 Ahora bien, en ese día, el día en que Gog venga a atacar el país de Israel, me enojaré mucho, declara el Señor Dios.

So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;

19 “En mi apasionado y furioso enojo anuncio que en ese momento se producirá un violento terremoto en el país de Israel.

Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken, - Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the soil of Israel:

20 Todo lo que vive en la tierra temblará ante mi presencia: los peces del mar, las aves del cielo, los animales salvajes, toda criatura que corre por la tierra y todo ser humano. Las montañas serán derribadas, los acantilados se derrumbarán y todos los muros serán derribados.

Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men who are on the face of the ground, — and The mountains, shall be torn asunder, and The steep places, shall sink down, and, Every wall, to the earth, shall be thrown.

21 “Llamaré a atacar a Gog desde todas mis montañas, declara el Señor Dios. Cada uno atacará a su hermano con la espada.

Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;

22 Lo castigaré con enfermedades y derramamiento de sangre. Enviaré tormentas de lluvia, granizo, fuego y azufre sobre él y su ejército, y sobre los ejércitos de sus numerosos aliados.

Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood, - And an overflowing downpour and hail-stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.

23 Demostraré mi verdadero poder y santidad, revelándome a muchas naciones. Entonces reconocerán que yo soy el Señor”.

So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eyes of many nations, —And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
