Éxodo 13
1 Entonces el Señor le dijo a Moisés:
Also the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
2 “Todo varón primogénito será dedicado a mí. El primogénito de cada familia israelita me pertenece, y también cada animal primogénito”.
Halewe thou to me ech firste gendrid thing that openeth the wombe among the sones of Israel, as wel of men as of beestis, for whi alle ben myn.
3 Así que Moisés le dijo al pueblo: “Recuerden que este es el día en que dejaron Egipto, la tierra de su esclavitud, porque el Señor los sacó de allí con su asombroso poder. (Nada con levadura en él será comido).
And Moises seide to the puple, Haue ye mynde of this dai, in which ye yeden out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage, for in strong hond the Lord ledde you out of this place, that ye ete not breed diyt with sour dow.
4 Hoyustedes están en camino, este día en el mes de Abib.
To dai ye gon out, in the monethe of new fruytis;
5 El Señor los llevará a la tierra de los cananeos, hititas, amorreos, heveos y jebuseos, la tierra que le prometió a sus antepasados, una tierra que fluye leche y miel. Así que deben observar esta ceremonia en este mes.
and whanne the Lord hath led thee in to the lond of Cananey, and of Ethei, and of Amorrei, and of Euei, and of Jebusei, which lond he swoor to thi fadris, that he schulde yyue to thee, a lond flowynge with mylk and hony, thou schalt halowe this custom of holy thingis in this monethe.
6 Durante siete días sólo comerán pan sin levadura, y el séptimo día celebrarán una fiesta religiosa para honrar al Señor.
In seuene daies thou schalt ete therf looues, and the solempnete of the Lord schal be in the seuenthe dai;
7 Durante esos siete días solo podrán comer pan sin levadura. No deben tener levadura; de hecho, no debe haber levadura en ningún lugar donde vivan.
ye schulen ete therf looues seuene daies, no thing diyt with sour dow schal appere at thee, nether in alle thi coostis.
8 “Ese día digan a sus hijos: ‘Esto es por causa de lo que el Señor hizo por mí cuando salí de Egipto’.
And thou schalt telle to thi sone in that dai, and schalt seie, This it is that the Lord dide to me, whanne Y yede out of Egipt.
9 Cuando celebren esta ceremonia será como una señal en su mano y un recordatorio en la frente de que esta enseñanza del Señor debe ser contada con regularidad. Porque el Señor los sacó de Egipto con su gran poder.
And it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a memorial before thin iyen, and that the lawe of the Lord be euere in thi mouth; for in a strong hond the Lord ledde thee out of Egipt, and of the hows of seruage.
10 Es por eso que deben observar esta ceremonia año tras año, en esta fecha.
Thou schalt kepe siche a worschipyng in tyme ordeined, `fro daies in to daies.
11 Una vez que el Señor los lleve a la tierra de los cananeos y se las entregue, como se los prometió a ustedes y a sus antepasados,
And whanne the Lord hath brouyt thee in to the lond of Cananey, as he swoor to thee, and to thi fadris, and hath youe it to thee,
12 deben presentar al Señor todos los primogénitos varones, humanos o animales. Todos los primogénitos de su ganado le pertenecen al Señor.
thou schalt departe to the Lord al the thing that openeth the wombe, and that that is the firste in thi beestis; what euer thing thou hast of male kynde, thou schalt halewe to the Lord.
13 Deben rescatara cada asno primogénito a cambio de un cordero, y si no lo hacen, deberán romperle el cuello. Deberán rescatar a cada primogénito de sus hijos.
Thou schalt chaunge the firste gendrid of an asse for a scheep, that if thou ayen biest not, thou schalt sle; forsothe thou schalt ayen bie with prijs al the firste gendrid of man of thi sones.
14 “Cuando en el futuro sus hijos vengan a ustedes y les pregunten: ‘¿Por qué es importante esta ceremonia’ deberán decirles: ‘El Señor nos sacó de Egipto, la tierra de nuestra esclavitud, mediante su asombroso poder.
And whanne thi sone schal axe thee to morewe, and seie, What is this? thou schalt answere to hym, In a strong hond the Lord ladde vs out of the lond of Egipt, of the hows of seruage; for whanne Farao was maad hard,
15 El Faraón se negó obstinadamente a dejarnos ir, así que el Señor mató a todos los primogénitos de la tierra de Egipto, tanto humanos como animales. Por eso sacrificamos al Señor el primogénito de cada animal, y compramos todos los primogénitos de nuestros hijos’.
and nolde delyuere vs, the Lord killide alle the firste gendrid thing in the lond of Egipt, fro the firste gendrid of man til to the firste gendrid of beestis; therfor Y offre to the Lord al thing of male kynde that openeth the wombe, and Y ayen bie alle the firste gendrid thingis of my sones.
16 De esta manera, será como una señal en la mano y un recordatorio en la frente, porque el Señor nos sacó de Egipto por su asombroso poder”.
Therfor it schal be as a signe in thin hond, and as a thing hangid for mynde bifore thin iyen, for in a strong hond the Lord ledde vs out of Egipt.
17 Cuando el Faraón dejó salir a los israelitas, Dios no los llevó por la tierra de los filisteos, aunque era un camino más corto. Porque Dios dijo, “Si se ven obligados a luchar, podrían cambiar de opinión y volver a Egipto”.
Therfor whanne Farao hadde sent out the puple, God ledde not hem out bi the weie of `the lond of Filisteis, which is niy; and arettid lest perauenture it wolde repente the puple, if he had seyn batelis rise ayens hym, and `the puple wolde turn ayen in to Egipt;
18 Así que Dios los llevó por el camino más largo a través del desierto hacia el Mar Rojo. Cuando los israelitas dejaron la tierra de Egipto eran como un ejército listo para la batalla.
but God ledde aboute by the weie of deseert, which weie is bisidis the reed see. And the sones of Israel weren armed, and stieden fro the lond of Egipte.
19 Moisés llevó los huesos de José con él porque José leshabía hecho a los hijos de Israel una promesa solemne, diciendo: “Dios definitivamente cuidará de ustedes, y entonces deben llevarse mis huesos cuando salgan de aquí”.
And Moises took the boonus of Joseph with hym, for he hadde chargid the sones of Israel, and hadde seid, God schal visite you, and bere ye out `fro hennus my boonus with you.
20 Viajaron desde Sucot y acamparon en Etam, a la entrada del desierto.
And thei yeden forth fro Socoth, and settiden tentis in Etham, in the laste endis of wildirnesse.
21 El Señor iba delante de ellos como una columna de nubes para mostrarles el camino durante el día, y como una columna de fuego para proporcionarles luz por la noche. Así podían viajar de día o de noche.
Forsothe the Lord yede bifore hem to schewe the weie, bi dai in a piler of clowde, and bi nyyt in a piler of fier, that he schulde be ledere of the weie in euer either time;
22 La columna de nubes durante el día y la columna de fuego por la noche iban siempre delante del pueblo.
the piler of clowde failide neuere bi dai, nether the piler of fier bi niyt, bifor the puple.
