Hechos 15
1 Entonces llegaron unos hombres de Judea que comenzaron a enseñarles a los creyentes, y les decían “A menos que estén circuncidados conforme a las normas establecidas por Moisés, no podrán salvarse”.
And, certain persons, coming down from Judea, began to teach the brethren—Except ye be circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 Y Pablo y Bernabé debatieron y discutieron mucho con ellos. Así que Pablo y Bernabé y otros más fueron nombrados para ir a Jerusalén y hablar con los apóstoles y los líderes de allí sobre este asunto.
And, when Paul and Barnabas had had no little dissension and discussion with them, it was arranged that Paul and Barnabas and certain others from among them should go up unto the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem concerning this question,
3 Entonces la iglesia los envió de viaje, y mientras viajaban por Fenicia y Samaria, explicaban cómo los extranjeros se estaban convirtiendo, y esto alegraba mucho a los creyentes.
They, therefore, being set forward by the Assembly, began passing through Phoenicia and Samaria, fully relating the conversion of them of the nations, and were causing great joy unto all the brethren.
4 Cuando llegaron a Jerusalén fueron recibidos por los miembros de la iglesia, los apóstoles y los ancianos. Explicaron todo lo que Dios había hecho a través de ellos.
And, having arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the Assembly and the Apostles and the Elders; and they recounted all things God had done with them.
5 Pero sufrieron oposición de parte de algunos de los creyentes que pertenecían a la división de los fariseos. Ellos decían: “Estos conversos tienen que circuncidarse e instruirse para que observen la ley de Moisés”.
But there [had] stood forth some of those who, from the sect of Pharisees, had believed, saying—It is needful to be circumcising them, also to charge them to be keeping the law of Moses.
6 Entonces los apóstoles y los ancianos se reunieron para debatir el asunto.
And the Apostles and Elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 Y después de tanto debatir, Pedro se levantó y les dijo: “Hermanos, ustedes saben que hace un tiempo Dios me escogió de entre ustedes para que los extranjeros pudieran oír el mensaje de la buena noticia y creyeran en Jesús.
And, when much discussion had arisen, Peter standing up, said unto them—Brethren! Ye yourselves, well know that, in days long past, amongst you, God chose that, through my mouth, the nations should hear the word of the glad tidings, and believe.
8 Dios, quien conoce nuestros corazones, ha demostrado que los acepta, dándoles el Espíritu Santo a ustedes así como lo hizo con nosotros.
And, the heart-observing God, bare witness, —unto them, giving the Holy Spirit, just as, even unto us;
9 Él no hace distinción entre nosotros y ellos, y limpió sus corazones cuando ellos creyeron en él.
and made no distinction at all betwixt us and them, by their faith, purifying their hearts.
10 “Entonces, ¿por qué ustedes quieren oponerse a Dios y colocar sobre los creyentes cargas que nuestros padres no fueron capaces de soportar, y que nosotros tampoco podemos?
Now, therefore, why are ye proving God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which, neither our fathers, nor we, have been able to bear.
11 Estamos convencidos de que somos salvos mediante la gracia del Señor Jesús, así como ellos”.
But, through the favour of the Lord Jesus, we believe we shall be saved, in like manner as, even they.
12 Y todos escuchaban con atención a Bernabé y a Pablo cuando ellos les hablaban de las señales milagrosas que Dios había realizado entre los extranjeros a través de ellos.
And all the throng held their peace, and began to hearken unto Barnabas and Paul relating how many signs and wonders God had done among the nations, through them.
13 Después que terminaron de hablar, Santiago tomó la palabra, diciendo: “Hermanos, escúchenme.
And, after they held their peace, James answered, saying—Brethren! hearken unto me.
14 Simón ha descrito cómo Dios primero reveló su interés por los extranjeros escogiendo entre ellos un pueblo comprometido con él.
Symeon, hath fully told how God, first visited, to take out of the nations, a people for his name.
15 Esto está en conformidad con las palabras de los profetas, tal como está escrito:
And, with this, agree the words of the prophets, according as it is written—
16 ‘En el futuro, volveré, y reconstruiré la casa caída de David; yo reconstruiré sus ruinas y las enderezaré.
After these things, will I return, and will rebuild the tent of David that hath fallen, and, the ruins thereof, will I rebuild, and will set it up again:
17 Haré esto para que los que han quedado por fuera vengan al Señor, incluyendo los extranjeros que invocan mi nombre.
That the residues of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations upon whom my name hath been called, saith the Lord that doeth these things,
Known from age-past times. (aiōn g165)
19 “Así que mi decisión es que no debemos ser estorbo para los extranjeros que se convierten a Dios.
Wherefore, I, judge, not to be troubling them who, from the nations, are turning unto God;
20 Debemos escribirles y decirles que eviten la comida sacrificada a los ídolos, la inmoralidad sexual, la carne de animales que hayan sido estrangulados, y de consumir sangre.
but to write unto them, to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 Porque la Ley de Moisés ya ha sido enseñada en cada ciudad por mucho tiempo, pues es leída en las sinagogas cada sábado”.
For, Moses, out of ancient generation, hath, in every city, them who proclaim him; seeing, that in the synagogues, every sabbath, he is read.
22 Entonces los apóstoles y los ancianos, en reunión con toda la iglesia, decidieron que sería bueno elegir a algunos representantes y enviarlos a Antioquía con Pablo y Bernabé. Y eligieron a Judas Barsabás y a Silas, líderes entre los hermanos,
Then, seemed it good unto the Apostles and the Elders with the whole Assembly to send chosen men from among them unto Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, —even Judas who is called Barsabbas, and Silas, men taking a lead among the brethren:
23 y los enviaron con esta carta: “Saludos de parte de nosotros, los apóstoles y ancianos, a los hermanos no judíos de Antioquía, Siria y Cilicia:
writing through their hand—The Apostles and the Elder Brethren, unto the brethren throughout Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, who are from among the nations, wish joy!
24 Hemos oído que algunos de nuestro grupo los han confundido con sus enseñanzas, causándoles problemas. Sin duda alguna nosotros no les dijimos que hicieran esto.
Inasmuch as we had heard that, certain from among us, had troubled you with words, dismantling your souls, —unto whom we had given no instructions,
25 Así que decidimos elegir algunos representantes y enviarlos hasta donde ustedes están, junto con nuestros hermanos muy amados, Bernabé y Pablo,
It seemed good unto us, coming to be of one accord, that we should choose men and send them unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, —
26 quienes han arriesgado sus vidas por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
men who have given up their lives in behalf of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 “Así que hemos enviado a Judas y Silas, quienes podrán confirmarles verbalmente lo que les estamos diciendo.
We have sent, therefore, Judas and Silas, who also, themselves, by word of mouth, can tell you the same things.
28 El Espíritu Santo y nosotros consideramos que es mejor no colocarles ninguna carga pesada aparte de estos requisitos.
For it hath seemed good unto the Holy Spirit and unto us, no greater burden, to be laying upon you, than these necessary things: —
29 Deben evitar: cualquier cosa sacrificada a ídolos, sangre, carne de animales estrangulados, e inmoralidad sexual. Harán bien al observar estos requisitos. Dios los bendiga”.
To be abstaining from idol sacrifices, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication, —From which, if ye keep yourselves, ye shall prosper. Fare ye well.
30 Los hombres fueron enviados a Antioquía. Y cuando llegaron, convocaron a todos a una reunión y entregaron la carta.
They, therefore, being let go, came down unto Antioch; and, having gathered together the throng, delivered the letter,
31 Después de leerla, estaban muy felices por el mensaje de ánimo.
and, when they read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 Entonces Judas y Silas, que también eran profetas, animaron a los hermanos, enseñándoles muchas cosas, y dándoles fortaleza.
And, both Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, with much discourse, consoled and confirmed the brethren.
33 Después de pasar un tiempo allí, fueron enviados de regreso por los hermanos, con su bendición, a los creyentes de Jerusalén.
And, when they had spent a time, they were let go, in peace, from the brethren, unto them who had sent them.
35 Pero Pablo y Bernabé permanecieron en Antioquía, enseñando y proclamando la palabra de Dios en compañía de muchos otros.
But, Paul and Barnabas, tarried in Antioch, teaching and telling the joyful tidings, —along with many others also, —of the word of the Lord.
36 Algún tiempo después, Pablo le dijo a Bernabé: “Regresemos y visitemos a los creyentes de cada ciudad donde hemos predicado la palabra de Dios, y veamos cómo están”.
And, after certain days, Paul, said unto Barnabas—Let us now return, and visit the brethren in every city in which we have declared the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 Entonces Bernabé hizo planes para llevarse también a Juan Marcos.
And, Barnabas, was minded to take with them John also, called Mark;
38 Pero Pablo no consideró que fuera buena idea llevarlo con ellos, pues él los había abandonado en Panfilia y no había seguido trabajando con ellos.
but Paul deemed it right, as to him who had withdrawn from them, back from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them unto the work, not to be taking with them, this, man.
39 Y tuvieron un descuerdo tan grande, que se separaron. Entonces Bernabé tomó a Juan Marcos y navegó hacia Chipre.
And there arose an angry feeling, so that they separated one from the other: and, Barnabas, taking Mark, sailed away unto Cyprus, —
40 Pablo eligió a Silas, y al marcharse, los creyentes los encomendaron a la gracia del Señor.
whereas, Paul, choosing Silas, went forth, committed unto the favour of the Lord by the brethren,
41 Y Pablo viajó por Siria y Cilicia, animando a las iglesias de esos lugares.
and proceeded to pass through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
