2 Samuel 4

1 Cuando Isboset, hijo de Saúl, supo que Abner había muerto en Hebrón, sintió gran desánimo, y todos en Israel estaban consternados.

And he heard [the] son of Saul that he had died Abner in Hebron and they dropped hands his and all Israel they were terrified.

2 Isboset tenía dos comandantes de sus bandas de asalto. Eran hermanos y sus nombres eran Baná y Recab. Eran hijos de Rimón, de la tribu de Benjamín, de la ciudad de Berot. Berot se considera parte del territorio de Benjamín,

And two men commanders of marauding bands they were [the] son of Saul [the] name of the one [was] Baanah and [the] name of the second [was] Rechab [the] sons of Rimmon the Beerothite from [the] descendants of Benjamin for also Beeroth it is reckoned to Benjamin.

3 porque el pueblo que había vivido en Berot antes huyó a Guitayin y han vivido allí como extranjeros hasta el presente.

And they fled the Beerothites Gittaim towards and they have been there sojourners until the day this.

4 Jonatán, hijo de Saúl, tenía un hijo que era cojo de ambos pies. Cuando el niño tenía cinco años, llegó de Jezreel la noticia de la muerte de Saúl y Jonatán. Su nodriza lo había recogido y había salido corriendo con él para huir. Pero mientras corría, el niño se cayó y quedó cojo. Su nombre era Mefi-boset.

And [belonged] to Jonathan [the] son of Saul a son stricken of feet a son of five years he was when came [the] report of Saul and Jonathan from Jezreel and she lifted him nurse his and she fled and it was when hurried she to flee and he fell and he became lame and name his [was] Mephibosheth.

5 Recab y Baná, hijos de Rimón de Berot, se dirigieron a la casa de Isboset, llegando con el calor del día, cuando el rey estaba tomando su descanso de mediodía.

And they went [the] sons of Rimmon the Beerothite Rechab and Baanah and they came when [the] heat of the day to [the] house of Ish-bosheth and he [was] lying [the] lying of noon.

6 La portera había estado limpiando el trigo, pero se había cansado y se había quedado dormida, así que Recab y Baná pudieron entrar sin que se dieran cuenta.

And they [fem] they came to [the] middle of the house taking wheat and they struck him to the belly and Rechab and Baanah brother his they escaped.

7 Entraron en la casa mientras Isboset dormía en su habitación. Después de apuñalarlo y matarlo, le cortaron la cabeza, la cual se llevaron, y viajaron toda la noche por el camino del valle del Jordán.

And they came the house and he [was] lying on bed his in [the] chamber of lying down his and they struck him and they killed him and they removed head his and they took head his and they went [the] way of the Arabah all the night.

8 Luego le llevaron la cabeza de Isboset a David en Hebrón. Le dijeron al rey: “Aquí está la cabeza de Isboset, hijo de Saúl, tu enemigo que intentó matarte. Hoy el Señor se ha vengado de Saúl y su familia por mi señor el rey”.

And they brought [the] head of Ish-bosheth to David Hebron and they said to the king here! [the] head of Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul enemy your who he sought life your and he has given Yahweh to lord my the king vengeance the day this from Saul and from offspring his.

9 Pero David respondió a Recab y a su hermano Baná, hijos de Rimón de Berot: “Vive el Señor, que me ha salvado de todas mis angustias,

And he answered David Rechab - and Baanah brother his [the] sons of Rimmon the Beerothite and he said to them [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he has ransomed life my from every trouble.

10 cuando alguien me dijo: ‘Mira, Saúl ha muerto’ y creyó que me traía buenas noticias, lo agarré y lo hice matar en Siclag. ¡Eso fue lo que recibió por traerme sus noticias!

If the [one who] told to me saying here! he has died Saul and he he was like a bearer of news in own eyes his and I took hold! on him and I killed him in Ziklag that to give I to him good news.

11 ¡Con más razón, cuando hombres malos matan a un hombre bueno en su propia casa y en su propia cama, ¿no debería exigirles que paguen por su vida con sus propias vidas, y exterminarlos?!”

Indeed? if men wicked they have killed a man righteous in own house his on own bed his and therefore ¿ not will I require blood his from hand your and I will remove you from the earth.

12 Entonces David dio la orden a sus hombres, y mataron a Recab y a Baná. Les cortaron las manos y los pies, y colgaron sus cuerpos junto al estanque de Hebrón. Luego tomaron la cabeza de Isboset y la enterraron en la tumba de Abner en Hebrón.

And he commanded David the young men and they killed them and they cut off hands their and feet their and they hanged [them] at the pool in Hebron and [the] head of Ish-bosheth they took and they buried [it] in [the] tomb of Abner at Hebron.
