2 Samuel 14

1 Joab, hijo de Sarvia, sabía que el rey seguía pensando en Absalón.

2 Entonces Joab envió un mensajero a Tecoa para que trajera a una mujer sabia que vivía allí. Y le dijo: “Finge estar de luto. Ponte ropa de luto y no uses aceites perfumados. Ponte como una mujer que lleva mucho tiempo de luto por los muertos.

And he sent Joab Tekoa towards and he took from there a woman wise and he said to her play [the] mourner please and put on please garments of mourning and may not you anoint yourself oil and you will be like a woman this days many [who has been] mourning on a dead [person].

3 Luego ve al rey y dile esto”. Entonces Joab le indicó lo que debía decir.

And you will go to the king and you will speak to him according to the word this and he put Joab the words in mouth her.

4 Cuando la mujer de Tecoa fue a ver al rey, se inclinó hacia el suelo en señal de respeto y dijo: “¡Por favor, ayúdeme, Su Majestad!”

And she said the woman Tekoite to the king and she fell on face her [the] ground towards and she bowed down and she said save! O king.

5 “¿Qué pasa?”, le preguntó el rey. “Lamentablemente soy viuda. Mi marido ha muerto”, respondió ella.

And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said indeed [am] a woman a widow I and he has died husband my.

6 “Su Majestad, yo tenía dos hijos. Se pelearon fuera, y no había nadie para detenerlos. Uno de ellos golpeó al otro y lo mató.

And [belonged] to maidservant your two sons and they struggled together [the] two of them in the field and there not [was] a deliverer between them and he struck him the one the one and he killed him.

7 Ahora toda la familia está en mi contra, y me dicen: ‘Entrega a tu hijo, que ha matado a su hermano, para que lo condenemos a muerte por haber asesinado a su hermano. Así tampoco heredará nada’. Con esto apagarían el último tizón de esperanza que tengo para continuar con el nombre de mi marido y su familia en el mundo”.

And there! it has risen up all the clan on maidservant your and they have said deliver up - [the] [one who] struck down brother his so we may put to death him for [the] life of brother his whom he killed and let us destroy also the heir and they will extinguish coal my which it is left to not (to establish *Q(K)*) for husband my a name and a remnant on [the] surface of the ground.

8 “Vete a casa”, le dijo el rey a la mujer, “y yo mismo me encargaré de que se resuelva tu caso”.

And he said the king to the woman go to house your and I I will command on you.

9 “Gracias, Su Majestad”, dijo la mujer. “Yo y mi familia asumiremos la culpa, y que Su Majestad y su familia sean considerados inocentes”.

And she said the woman Tekoite to the king [be] on me O lord my the king the iniquity and on [the] house of father my and the king and throne his [be] innocent.

10 “Si alguien se queja de ello, tráemelo aquí y no volverá a molestarte”, le dijo el rey.

And he said the king the [one who] speaks to you and you will bring him to me and not he will repeat again to touch you.

11 “Por favor, Majestad”, continuó la mujer, “¡jura por el Señor, tu Dios, que impedirás que la persona que quiere vengar el asesinato lo empeore matando a mi hijo!” “Vive el Señor”, prometió, “ni un solo pelo de la cabeza de tu hijo caerá al suelo”.

And she said let him remember please the king Yahweh God your (from increasing *Q(k)*) [the] avenger of blood to destroy and not they will destroy son my and he said [by] [the] life of Yahweh if it will fall one of [the] hair[s] of son your [the] ground towards.

12 “¿Podría pedir otra cosa, Su Majestad?”, preguntó la mujer. “Adelante”, respondió él.

And she said the woman let her speak please maidservant your to lord my the king a word and he said speak.

13 “¿Por qué has tramado algo similar contra el pueblo de Dios?”, preguntó la mujer. “Ya que Su Majestad acaba de decidir mi caso por lo que dijo, ¿no se ha condenado a sí mismo porque se niega a traer de vuelta al hijo que desterró?

And she said the woman and why? have you planned like this on [the] people of God and because has spoken the king the word this like a guilty [person] to not to bring back the king banished [son] his.

14 Sí, todos tenemos que morir. Somos como el agua derramada en el suelo que no se puede volver a recoger. Pero eso no es lo que hace Dios. Por el contrario, él obra para que todo aquel que es desterrado pueda volver a casa con él.

For certainly we will die and [we are] like waters which are spilled [the] ground towards which not they will be gathered and not he takes away God life and he plans plans to not he will be cast out from him a banished [one].

15 Por eso he venido a explicarle esto a Su Majestad, porque alguien me ha asustado. Así que he pensado que es mejor hablar con el rey, y que tal vez me conceda mi petición.

And now when I have come to speak to the king lord my the word this that they have made afraid me the people and she said maidservant your let me speak please to the king perhaps he will do the king [the] word of maidservant his.

16 Tal vez el rey me escuche y me salve del hombre que quiere separarnos a mí y a mi hijo del pueblo elegido por Dios.

For he will hear the king to deliver maidservant his from [the] hand of the man to destroy me and son my together from [the] inheritance of God.

17 Y pensé: ‘Que lo que diga Su Majestad me traiga la paz, pues Su Majestad es capaz de distinguir entre el bien y el mal, como un ángel de Dios. Que el Señor, tu Dios, esté contigo’”.

And she said maidservant your may it become please [the] word of lord my the king rest for - like [the] angel of God [is] so lord my the king to hear good and bad and Yahweh God your may he be with you.

18 “Por favor, no te niegues a responder a la pregunta que voy a hacer”, le dijo el rey a la mujer. “Por favor, haga su pregunta, Su Majestad”, respondió ella.

And he answered the king and he said to the woman may not please you hide from me anything which I [am] asking you and she said the woman let him speak please lord my the king.

19 “¿Todo esto es obra de Joab?”, preguntó el rey. La mujer respondió: “Como usted vive, Su Majestad, nadie puede ocultarle nada. Sí, fue Joab, tu oficial, quien me ordenó hacer esto; me dijo exactamente lo que tenía que decir.

And he said the king ¿ [is] [the] hand of Joab with you in all this and she answered the woman and she said [by] [the] life of self your O lord my the king if there is - to go to [the] right and to go to [the] left from all that he has spoken lord my the king for servant your Joab he he commanded me and he he put in [the] mouth of maidservant your all the words these.

20 Lo hizo para mostrar el otro lado de la situación, pero Su Majestad es tan sabio como un ángel de Dios, y usted sabe todo lo que sucede en este país”.

In order to change [the] face of the matter he did servant your Joab the thing this and lord my [is] wise like [the] wisdom of [the] angel of God to know all that [is] in the land.

21 El rey le dijo a Joab: “Bien, lo haré. Ve y trae de vuelta al joven Absalón”.

And he said the king to Joab here! please I do the thing this and go bring back the young man Absalom.

22 Joab se inclinó con el rostro hacia el suelo en señal de respeto y bendijo al rey. “Hoy”, dijo Joab, “yo, tu siervo, sé que me apruebas, Su Majestad, porque has concedido mi petición”.

And he fell Joab to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he blessed the king and he said Joab this day he knows servant your that I have found favor in view your O lord my the king that he has done the king [the] word of (servant your. *Q(K)*)

23 Joab fue a Gesur y trajo a Absalón de vuelta a Jerusalén.

And he arose Joab and he went Geshur towards and he brought Absalom Jerusalem.

24 Pero el rey dio esta orden: “Puede volver a su casa, pero no debe venir a verme”. Así que Absalón volvió a su casa, pero no fue a ver al rey.

And he said the king he will turn to house his and face my not he will see and he turned Absalom to house his and [the] face of the king not he saw.

25 Absalón era admirado como el hombre más apuesto de todo Israel. No tenía ni un solo defecto de la cabeza a los pies.

And like Absalom not he was a man handsome in all Israel to praise exceedingly from [the] sole of foot his and to scalp his not it was in him a blemish.

26 Se cortaba el pelo todos los años porque se le ponía muy pesado: pesaba doscientos siclos reales.

And when shaved he head his and it was from [the] end of days - to the days when he shaved for [it was] heavy on him and he shaved it and he weighed [the] hair of head his two hundred shekels by [the] weight of the king.

27 Tenía tres hijos y una hija llamada Tamar, una mujer muy hermosa.

And they were born to Absalom three sons and a daughter one and name her [was] Tamar she she was a woman beautiful of appearance.

28 Absalón vivió en Jerusalén durante dos años, pero no se le permitió ver al rey.

And he dwelt Absalom in Jerusalem two years days and [the] face of the king not he saw.

29 Absalón llamó a Joab para que le permitiera ver al rey, para que Joab lo enviara al rey, pero Joab se negó a ir. Absalón volvió a llamar a Joab, pero éste siguió sin venir.

And he sent Absalom to Joab to send him to the king and not he was willing to come to him and he sent again a second [time] and not he was willing to come.

30 Entonces Absalón les dijo a sus siervos: “Miren, el campo de Joab está al lado del mío, y tiene cebada creciendo allí. Vayan y préndanle fuego”. Los siervos de Absalón fueron y prendieron fuego al campo.

And he said to servants his see [the] portion of land of Joab [is] to hand my and [belongs] to him there barley go (and set on fire it *Q(K)*) with fire and they set on fire [the] servants of Absalom the portion of land with fire.

31 Joab fue a la casa de Absalón y preguntó: “¿Por qué tus siervos incendiaron mi campo?”.

And he arose Joab and he went to Absalom the house towards and he said to him why? have they set on fire servants your the portion of land which [belongs] to me with fire.

32 “Mira” – dijo Absalón, – “te he mandado llamar diciendo: ‘Ven aquí. Quiero que vayas a ver al rey y le preguntes: ¿Por qué me he molestado en volver de Gesur? Hubiera sido mejor que me quedara allí’. Así que ve y haz que me vea el rey, y si soy culpable de algo, que me mate”.

And he said Absalom to Joab here! I sent to you - saying come here so let me send you to the king saying why? have I come from Geshur [was] good for me still I [was] there and therefore let me see [the] face of the king and if there in me [is] iniquity and he will kill me.

33 Así que Joab fue y le contó al rey lo que Absalón había dicho. Entonces David llamó a Absalón, quien vino y se inclinó con el rostro en el suelo ante él en señal de respeto. Entonces el rey besó a Absalón.

And he went Joab to the king and he told to him and he summoned Absalom and he came to the king and he bowed down to him on face his [the] ground towards before the king and he kissed the king Absalom.
