1 Crónicas 16
1 Trajeron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en la tienda que David había preparado para ella. Presentaron holocaustos y ofrendas de amistad a Dios.
And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
2 Cuando David terminó de presentar los holocaustos y las ofrendas de amistad, bendijo al pueblo en nombre del Señor.
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 Luego repartió a cada israelita, a cada hombre y a cada mujer, una hogaza de pan, una torta de dátiles y una torta de pasas.
And he dealt out to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4 David asignó a algunos de los levitas para que sirvieran de ministros ante el Arca del Señor, para recordar, agradecer y alabar al Señor, el Dios de Israel.
And he placed before the ark of the Lord several of the Levites as ministers, and to chaunt hymns, and to give praise and thanks unto the Lord the God of Israel:
5 Asaf era el encargado, Zacarías era el segundo, luego Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Benaía, Obed-edom y Jeiel. Tocaban arpas y liras, y Asaf tocaba los címbalos,
Assaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah; Je'iel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and Matthithyah, and Eliab, and Benayahu, and 'Obed-edom; and Je'iel with psalteries and with harps; but Assaph played aloud with the cymbals.
6 y los sacerdotes Benaía y Jahaziel tocaban continuamente las trompetas delante del Arca del Pacto de Dios.
And Benayahu and Jachaziel the priests were with the trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Este fue el día en que David instruyó por primera vez a Asaf y a sus parientes para que dieran gracias al Señor de esta manera:
On that day—then did David appoint for the first time to give thanks to the Lord through means of Assaph and his brethren.
8 Denle gracias al Señor, adoren su naturaleza maravillosa, ¡hagan saber lo que ha hecho!
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name; make known among the people his deeds.
9 Cántenle, canten sus alabanzas; cuéntenle a todos las grandes cosas que ha hecho.
Sing unto him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
10 Enorgullézcanse de su carácter santo; ¡alégrense todos los que se acercan al Señor!
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
11 Busquen al Señor y su fuerza; busquen siempre estar con él.
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
12 Recuerden todas las maravillas que ha hecho, los milagros que ha realizado y los juicios que ha pronunciado,
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done, his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
13 descendientes de Israel, hijos de Jacob, su pueblo elegido.
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
14 Él es el Señor, nuestro Dios, sus juicios cubren toda la tierra.
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
15 Él se acuerda de su acuerdo para siempre, la promesa que hizo dura mil generaciones
Remember ye for ever his covenant, the word which he hath commanded to the thousandth generation.
16 el acuerdo que hizo con Abraham, el voto que hizo a Isaac.
Which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
17 El Señor lo confirmó legalmente con Jacob, hizo este acuerdo eterno con Israel
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant;
18 diciendo: “Les daré la tierra de Canaán para que la posean”.
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance;
19 Dijo esto cuando sólo eran unos pocos, un pequeño grupo de extranjeros en la tierra.
When ye were but few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
20 Iban de un país a otro, de un reino a otro.
And when they wandered from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people:
21 No permitió que nadie los tratara mal; advirtió a los reyes que los dejaran en paz:
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake.
22 “¡No toquen a mi pueblo elegido, no hagan daño a mis profetas!”
Saying, “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”—
23 ¡Cántenle al Señor! ¡Que toda la tierra le cante al Señor! ¡Que cada día todos oigan de su salvación!
Sing unto the Lord all ye lands: announce from day to day his salvation.
24 Anuncien sus actos gloriosos entre las naciones, las maravillas que hace entre todos los pueblos.
Relate among the nations his glory: among all the people his wonderful deeds.
25 Porque el Señor es grande y merece la mejor alabanza. Él debe ser respetado con temor por encima de todos los dioses.
For great is the Lord, and greatly praised; and he is to be feared above all gods.
26 Porque todos los dioses de las demás naciones son ídolos, pero el Señor hizo los cielos.
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord hath made the heavens.
27 Suyos son el esplendor y la majestuosidad; en su santuario hay poder y gloria.
Majesty and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Reconozcan al Señor, naciones del mundo, dénle la gloria y el poder.
Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye families of people, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
29 Dénle al Señor la gloria que se merece; traigan una ofrenda y preséntense ante él. Adoren al Señor en su magnífica santidad.
Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; take up an offering, and come into his presence; bow down before the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
30 Que todo el mundo en la tierra tiemble ante su presencia. El mundo se mantiene unido con firmeza; no puede romperse.
Tremble before him, all ye lands! Also the world standeth firmly, that it be not moved.
31 Que los cielos canten de alegría, que la tierra se alegre. Digan a las naciones: “¡El Señor está al mando!”
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 ¡Que el mar y todo lo que hay en él griten de alabanza! Que los campos y todo lo que hay en ellos celebren;
Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 Que todos los árboles del bosque canten de alegría, porque él viene a juzgar la tierra.
Then shall the trees of the forest sing joyfully at the presence of the Lord; because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 Denle gracias al Señor, porque es bueno. Su amor es eterno.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness.
35 Griten: “¡Sálvanos, Señor, Dios nuestro! Reúnenos de entre las naciones, rescátanos, para que podamos darte gracias y alabar lo magnífico y santo que eres”.
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, to glorify ourselves in thy praise.
36 ¡Qué maravilloso es el Señor, el Dios de Israel, que vive por los siglos de los siglos! Entonces todo el pueblo dijo: “¡Amén!” y “¡Alaben al Señor!”.
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting even unto everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praise unto the Lord.
37 Entonces David se aseguró de que Asaf y sus hermanos ministraran continuamente ante el Arca del Pacto del Señor, realizando los servicios que fueran necesarios cada día,
And he left there in charge before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Assaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, at the work of every day on its day,
38 así como Obed-edom y sus sesenta y ocho parientes. Obed-edom, hijo de Jedutún, y Hosa, eran porteros.
And 'Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight, and 'Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Chossah to be gatekeepers;
39 David puso al sacerdote Sadoc y a sus compañeros sacerdotes a cargo del Arca del Señor en el lugar alto de Gabaón
And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord, in the high-place that was at Gib'on,
40 para que presentaran holocaustos al Señor en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo que estaba escrito en la ley del Señor que él había ordenado seguir a Israel.
To offer burnt-offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually at morning and at evening, and this in accordance with all that is written in the law of the Lord which he had commanded concerning Israel;
41 Los acompañaban Hemán, Jedutún y el resto de los elegidos e identificados por su nombre para dar gracias al Señor, porque “su amor confiable es eterno”.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were selected who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because unto everlasting endureth his kindness;
42 Hemán y Jedutún usaron sus trompetas y címbalos para hacer música que acompañara los cantos de Dios. Los hijos de Jedutún custodiaban la puerta.
And with them, with Heman and Jeduthun, the trumpets and cymbals to play aloud, and the musical instruments of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be for the service at the gate.
43 Luego todo el pueblo se fue a su casa, y David fue a bendecir a su familia.
And all the people went every man to his house; and David turned about to bless his house.
