Zacarías 9

1 Carga. “Palabra de Yahvé que (recaerá) sobre Hadrac y se dirige contra Damasco, pues Yahvé mira a los hombres y a todas las tribus de Israel.

The burden of the word of the Lord, in the land of Sedrach, and his sacrifice [shall be] in Damascus; for the Lord looks upon men, and upon all the tribes of Israel.

2 (Se dirige) también contra Hamat, que allí tiene su territorio, como asimismo contra Tiro, y contra Sidón, cuya sabiduría es tan grande.

And in Emath, [even] in her coasts, [are] Tyre and Sidon, because they were very wise.

3 Aunque Tiro se construyó una fortaleza, y amontonó plata como si fuese polvo, y oro como lodo de las calles,

And Tyrus built strongholds for herself, and heaped up silver as dust, and gathered gold as the mire of the ways.

4 he aquí que el Señor la tomará en posesión, precipitará al mar sus muros, y ella misma será devorada por el fuego.

And therefore the Lord will take them for a possession, and will strike her power in the sea; and she shall be consumed with fire.

5 Lo verá Ascalón, y se llenará de espanto, Gaza también, y se estremecerá, lo mismo que Acarón, pues falló su esperanza. En Gaza no habrá ya rey, Ascalón quedará despoblada,

Ascalon shall see, and fear; Gaza also, and shall be greatly pained, and Accaron; for she is ashamed at her trespass; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ascalon shall not be inhabited.

6 y en Azoto habitarán bastardos. Así destruiré la soberbia de los filisteos.

And aliens shall dwell in Azotus, and I will bring down the pride of the Philistines.

7 Quitaré de su boca su sangre, y de entre sus dientes sus abominaciones, y serán también ellos un resto para nuestro Dios. Figurarán como una tribu en Judá, y Acarón será como el jebuseo.

And I will take their blood out of their mouth, and their abominations from between their teeth; and these also shall be left to our God, and they shall be as a captain of a thousand in Juda, and Accaron as a Jebusite.

8 Yo acamparé alrededor de mi casa, (para defenderla) contra los ejércitos, contra los que pasan y contra los que vienen; el exactor no vendrá más sobre ellos; porque ahora velo Yo con mis ojos.

And I will set up a defence for my house, that they may not pass through, nor turn back, neither shall there any more come upon them one to drive them away: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

9 ¡Alégrate con alegría grande, hija de Sión! ¡Salta de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén! He aquí que viene a ti tu rey; Él es justo y trae salvación, (viene) humilde, montado en un asno, en un borrico, hijo de asna.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Sion; proclaim [it] aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, the King is coming to you, just, and a Saviour; he is meek and riding on an ass, and a young foal.

10 Destruiré los carros de guerra de Efraím, y los caballos de Jerusalén, y será destrozado el arco de guerra; pues Él anunciará la paz a las naciones; su reino se extenderá desde un mar a otro, y desde el río hasta los términos de la tierra.

And he shall destroy the chariots out of Ephraim, and the horse out of Jerusalem, and the bow of war shall be utterly destroyed; and [there shall be] abundance and peace out of the nations; and he shall rule over the waters as far as the sea, and the rivers [to] the ends of the earth.

11 En cuanto a ti, en virtud de la sangre de tu alianza, sacaré a tus cautivos de la fosa sin agua,

And you by the blood of your covenant has sent forth your prisoners out of the pit that has no water.

12 ¡Volveos, oh cautivos, a la fortaleza, llenos de esperanza; hoy mismo prometo que te daré doblados bienes.

You shall dwell in strongholds, you prisoners of the congregation: and for one day of your captivity I will recompense you double.

13 Tomo a Judá como arco tendido, y a Efraím lo pongo como saeta en el arco, y despertaré a tus hijos, oh Sión, contra los hijos tuyos, oh Grecia; y te emplearé como espada de héroe.

For I have bent you, O Juda, for myself [as] a bow, I have filled Ephraim; and I will raise up your children, O Sion, against the children of the Greeks, and I will handle you as the sword of a warrior.

14 Aparecerá sobre ellos Yahvé, y saldrán como rayos sus saetas; Yahvé, el Señor, tocará la trompeta, y marchará entre los torbellinos del Austro.

And the Lord shall be over them, and [his] arrow shall go forth as lightning: and the Lord Almighty shall blow with the trumpet; and shall proceed with the tumult of his threatening.

15 Yahvé de los ejércitos los protegerá como escudo; y ellos devorarán, y hollarán con los pies las piedras de la honda; beberán con alboroto, como (embriagándose) de vino, y quedarán llenos como vaso de libación, como los ángulos del altar.

The Lord Almighty shall protect them, and they shall destroy them, and overwhelm them with sling-stones; and they shall swallow them down as wine, and fill the bowls as the altar.

16 En aquel día Yahvé, su Dios, los salvará, como ovejas del pueblo suyo; porque serán como piedras de una diadema, que brillarán sobre su tierra.

And the Lord their God shall save them in that day, [even] his people as a flock; for holy stones are rolled upon his land.

17 ¡Qué felicidad la de ellos! ¡Qué hermosura! El trigo hará florecer a los jóvenes, y el vino a las doncellas.

For if he has anything good, and if he has anything fair, the young [men shall have] corn, and [there shall be] fragrant wine to the virgins.
