Apocalipsis 8
1 Y cuando abrió el séptimo sello, se hizo en el cielo un silencio como de media hora.
AND when he had opened the SEVENTH SEAL, silence was in heaven, as the dividing of an hour.
2 Y vi a los siete ángeles que están en pie ante Dios y les fueron dadas siete trompetas.
And I saw the seven angels who stood before Aloha, and there were given to them SEVEN TRUMPETS.
3 Y vino otro ángel que se puso junto al altar, teniendo un incensario de oro, y le fueron dados muchos perfumes, para ofrecerlos con las oraciones de todos los santos sobre el altar de oro que estaba delante del trono.
And another angel came, and stood at the altar, and he had a censer of gold, and many perfumes were given to him, which he should give with the prayers of all saints upon the altar of gold that is before the throne;
4 Y el humo de los perfumes subió con las oraciones de los santos de la mano del ángel a la presencia de Dios.
and the cloud of the perfumes of the prayers of the saints ascended from the hand of the angel before Aloha.
5 Entonces el ángel tomó el incensario, lo llenó del fuego del altar, y lo arrojó sobre la tierra. Y hubo truenos y voces y relámpagos y un terremoto.
And the angel took the censer, and filled it from the fire of the altar, and cast forth upon the earth. And there were thunders, and lightnings, and voices, and movement.
6 Y los siete ángeles que tenían las siete trompetas se aprestaron a tocarlas,
And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared them to sound. And the First sounded.
7 Y el primero tocó la trompeta, y hubo granizo y fuego mezclados con sangre, que fueron arrojados sobre la tierra, y fue incendiada la tercera parte de la tierra; y fue incendiada la tercera parte de los árboles, y fue incendiada toda hierba verde.
And there was hail, and fire mingled with the waters, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third of the earth burned, and the third of the trees burned, and every green herb burned.
8 Y tocó la trompeta el segundo ángel, y algo como una gran montaña en llamas fue precipitada en el mar, y la tercera parte del mar se convirtió en sangre.
And the Second angel sounded. And as a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third of the sea also became blood.
9 Y murió la tercera parte de las creaturas vivientes que estaban en el mar, y la tercera parte de las naves fue destruida.
And the third of all creatures which were in the sea, which had lives, died, and the third of the ships were destroyed.
10 Y tocó la trompeta el tercer ángel, y se precipitó del cielo una grande estrella, ardiendo como una antorcha: cayó en la tercera parte de los ríos y en los manantiales de las aguas.
And the Third angel sounded. And there fell from heaven a star burning as a lamp, and it fell upon the third of the rivers, and upon fountains of waters.
11 El nombre de la estrella es Ajenjo; y convirtiose la tercera parte de las aguas en ajenjo; y muchos hombres murieron a causa de esas aguas porque se habían vuelto amargas.
And the name of the star is called Aphsinthos; and the third of the waters became bitterness, and many men died from the waters because they were bitter.
12 Y tocó la trompeta el cuarto ángel, y fue herida la tercera parte del sol y la tercera parte de la luna y la tercera parte de las estrellas, de manera que se obscureció la tercera parte de ellos, y el día perdió la tercera parte de su luz y lo mismo la noche.
And the Fourth angel sounded. And the third of the sun was absorbed, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, as that the third of them should be darkened; and they were darkened, and the day shone not a third of it, and the night, in like manner.
13 Y vi y oí cómo volaba por medio del cielo un águila que decía con poderosa voz: “¡Ay, ay, ay de los moradores de la tierra, a causa de los toques de trompeta que faltan de los tres ángeles que todavía han de tocar!”
And I beheld, and heard an eagle, flying in the midst, having a tail of blood, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, to those who dwell upon earth, from the voice of the rest of the trumpets of the three angels which are about to sound!
