Salmos 9
1 Al maestro de coro. Sobre el tono de Muthlabbén. Salmo de David. Quiero alabarte, Yahvé, con todo mi corazón, voy a cantar todas tus maravillas.
For the Chief Musician. Set to “The Death of the Son.” A Psalm by David. I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.
2 En Ti me alegraré y saltaré de gozo, cantaré salmos a tu Nombre, oh Altísimo.
I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
3 Porque mis enemigos vuelven las espaldas, caen y perecen ante tu presencia.
When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.
4 He aquí que Tú me has hecho justicia, y has tomado en tus manos mi causa; te has sentado, Juez justo, sobre el trono.
For you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.
5 Has reprendido a los gentiles y aniquilado al impío, borrado su nombre para siempre.
You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 Los enemigos han sido aplastados, reducidos a perpetua ruina; has destruido sus ciudades, y hasta la memoria de ellas ha perecido.
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
7 He aquí que Yahvé se sienta para siempre, ha establecido su trono para juzgar.
But the LORD reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.
8 Él mismo juzgará el orbe con justicia, y gobernará a los pueblos con equidad.
He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
9 Y será Yahvé refugio para el oprimido, refugio siempre pronto en el tiempo de la tribulación.
The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.
10 Y los que conocieron tu nombre confiarán en Ti, pues Tú no abandonas, Yahvé, a los que te buscan.
Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
11 Cantad salmos a Yahvé, que habita en Sión, haced conocer a los pueblos sus proezas.
Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done.
12 Porque el vengador de la sangre se ha acordado de los pobres, y no ha olvidado su clamor.
For he who avenges blood remembers them. He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 Yahvé se apiadó de mí viendo la aflicción que me causan mis enemigos, y me ha sacado de los umbrales de la muerte,
Have mercy on me, LORD. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death,
14 para que anuncie todas sus alabanzas en las puertas de la hija de Sión, y me goce yo en tu salud.
that I may show all of your praise. I will rejoice in your salvation in the gates of the daughter of Zion.
15 Cayeron las naciones en la fosa que cavaron, su pie quedó preso en el lazo que escondieron.
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
16 Yahvé se ha dado a conocer haciendo justicia; el pecador quedó enredado en las obras de sus manos.
The LORD has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. (Meditation, Selah)
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol (Sheol h7585), even all the nations that forget God.
18 Porque no siempre quedará en olvido el pobre, ni siempre burlada la esperanza de los oprimidos.
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Levántate Yahvé; no prevalezca el hombre, sean juzgadas las naciones ante tu presencia.
Arise, LORD! Do not let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight.
20 Arroja, Señor, sobre ellas el terror, oh Yahvé, ¡que sepan los gentiles que son hombres!
Put them in fear, LORD. Let the nations know that they are only men. (Selah)
