1 Al maestro de coro. Para instrumentos de cuerda. Salmo de Asaf. Dios se ha dado a conocer en Judá; grande es su Nombre en Israel.
For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm by Asaph. A song. In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel.
2 Ha levantado en Salem su tabernáculo y su morada en Sión.
His tabernacle is also in Salem. His dwelling place in Zion.
3 Allí quebró las fulmíneas saetas de los arcos y el escudo y la espada y la guerra.
There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. (Selah)
4 Envuelto en luz Tú, Majestuoso, descendiste desde los montes eternos.
Glorious are you, and excellent, more than mountains of game.
5 Despojados quedaron los de robusto corazón; duermen su sueño; no hallaron sus manos los hombres fuertes;
Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.
6 carros y caballos se paralizaron ante tu amenaza, oh Dios de Jacob.
At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 Terrible eres Tú y ¿quién podrá estar de pie ante Ti cuando se encienda tu ira?
You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
8 Desde el cielo hiciste oír tu juicio; la tierra tembló y quedó en silencio,
You pronounced judgement from heaven. The earth feared, and was silent,
9 al levantarse Dios a juicio, para salvar a todos los humildes de la tierra.
when God arose to judgement, to save all the afflicted ones of the earth. (Selah)
10 Hasta la furia de Edom redundará en tu gloria, y los sobrevivientes de Emat te festejarán:
Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
11 haced votos y cumplidlos a Yahvé, vuestro Dios, y todos los pueblos en derredor suyo traigan ofrendas al Temible;
Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfil them! Let all of his neighbours bring presents to him who is to be feared.
12 a El, que quita el aliento a los príncipes; al Terrible para los reyes de la tierra.
He will cut off the spirit of princes. He is feared by the kings of the earth.
