Salmos 75

1 Al maestro de coro. Sobre la melodía “No dañes”. Salmo de Asaf. Cántico. Te alabamos, Yahvé, te alabamos; invocamos tu Nombre y narramos tus maravillas.

To the Chief Musician. "Do not Destroy." A Melody of Asaph, a Song. We have given thanks unto thee, O God, we have given thanks, And, in calling upon thy Name, men have recounted thy wonders.

2 “Cuando Yo fije la hora, juzgaré según la justicia.

Surely I will take a set time, —I, with equity, will judge:

3 Conmovida la tierra y todos sus habitantes, Yo sustentaré sus columnas.”

Earth was melting away with all its inhabitants, I, have fixed the pillars thereof. (Selah)

4 Por tanto, digo a los altaneros; “No os ensoberbezcáis”; y a los impíos: “Cesad de engreíros en vuestro poder”;

I have said to the boasters, Do not boast, And to the lawless, Do not lift up a horn;

5 no levantéis vuestra cerviz frente al Altísimo, no digáis insolencias contra Dios.

Do not lift up on high your horn, Nor speak of the Rock, with arrogance;

6 Porque no del oriente ni del occidente, ni del desierto, ni de los montes, viene la justicia,

For neither from east nor west, Nor from the wilderness of the mountains [cometh exaltation];

7 sino que es Dios mismo el Juez; a este lo abate y a aquel lo encumbra.

For, God himself, is about to judge, One, he will cast down, Another, he will lift up;

8 Porque en la mano del Señor hay un cáliz de vino espumoso, lleno de mixtura; y de él vierte: lo beberán hasta las heces todos los impíos de la tierra.

For, a cup, is in the hand of Yahweh, Whose wine is foaming, It is full of spiced wine, Which he hath caused to flow from one to another, —Surely, the dregs thereof, they shall drain out—they shall drink, Even all the lawless ones of the earth.

9 Mas yo me gozaré eternamente, cantando salmos al Dios de Jacob.

But, I, will exult unto times age-abiding, I will sing praises unto the God of Jacob;

10 “Y Yo quebrantaré la cerviz de todos los impíos, y alzarán su cerviz los justos.”

But, all the horns of the lawless, will I hew off, —Exalted shall be the horns of the Righteous One.
